Stayed there a couple of weeks ago with my wife. Arrived late afternoon after a diversion to see St Bertrand de Comminges monastery. Warm welcome from Anne and Emmanuel. Large room in old manor (nearly 400 years old) then an excellent meal prepared under the guidance of Emmanuel. In the garden there are three 300 years old Cedar trees and...

So you are travelling from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean across France, you need to break the journey and prefer to avoid the chains. We were going from Bordeaux to Barcelona and looked for where was half way between them. And we stumbled on L'Hostellerie des Cedres. A few minutes from the A64 but you wouldn't know it. Friendly, historic,...

It is the perfect place for a romantic dinner. The duck (canard) it is incredibly done, the service is world class and the dessert are great! The warm room with fire place give also a great environment for a dinner with family, friends or business.

Our Backroads Tour stayed here for one night. In a quiet village and old renovated buildings. The young couple who run it are very keen and work hard. The restaurant food for dinner was excellent. Breakfast wasn't much, had better, had worse. We were situated in an "out building" while others in the old manor. Unfortunately we probably had one...

A beautiful property dating back more than 300 years with modern amenities. The restaurant dishes up gourmet fair while the surroundings intoxicate one's senses. Well worth the short drive off the main roads.

The evening meal was very good and breakfast full of choice and good quality. Outdoor swimming pool nice when weather is good and inexpensive fuel within...

We were a group of 13 cyclists and needed 7 rooms with single beds and secure bike storage. The hotel could not have been more accommodating. The rooms were spacious, the welcome warm and friendly and dinner delightful.

Stayed here for one night only. We were in the building separate to the main building, very large room but getting a little tired. Dinner in the restaurant was fabulous and breakfast was ok. Lovely grounds in the hotel and the pool looked inviting but we were told that we could not swim because they had added chemicals ! Perhaps...

Spent two lovely nights at this delightfully peaceful hotel. Beautiful setting and very convenient for the Pyrenees, St Bertrand, St Just and Luchon. The room was very spacious and the bed very comfortable. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the breakfast buffet offered a very good choice. The welcome from all the staff was faultless. Altogether a lovely...

If your perception of France has been shaped by the works of MFK Fisher and sepia toned photographs, you will find this hotel magical! Located in a small town outside St. Gaudens, it is ideally located for visting the magnificent pilgrimage churches of St. Bertrand de Comminges and St. Just. Family owned and run by a welcoming, charming young couple,...
