Welcome to Ferguson Farmstay, a family owned and operated business in the South West of Western Australia. Since its inception in 1994, Ferguson Farmstay has grown to become one of the most sought-after venues in the Ferguson Valley. Boasting 10 fully self contained chalets, a restaurant, amphitheatre and over 1,000 roses, Ferguson Farmstay is the ideal destination for your next family holiday or dream rural wedding. Ferguson Farmstay is located in the beautiful Ferguson Valley, only 30 minutes’ drive from Bunbury and less than two hours’ drive south of Perth. We have a menagerie of farm animals for kids young and old, a large playground, a tennis court, basketball court, trampoline and large lawn area. Families are invited to participate in farm activities which take place every morning of their stay. The Ferguson Valley has developed into a fantastic holiday location for local and international visitors. There are microbreweries, wineries, boutique cottage industries and art galleries in the Ferguson Valley providing great local produce for tourists to enjoy. Whether you are looking for a family getaway, a quiet hideaway, an occasion to celebrate with friends, or just a weekend day visit, we welcome you to share a little piece of our paradise.

Been wanting to visit Ferguson since 2020. But due to lockdown, every got cancelled. Finally, we made it this year! First and foremost, the chalet is very clean! Ours is Chalet #2, fits up to 8pax. Kitchenette is fully furnished. And the scenery is soooooo beautiful 😍 Much more beautiful there in person than in picture 😅 Farm activities: The time scheduled for each activity is just perfect. Animal feeding, tractor ride is awesome! It’s a great experience for me n family. Oh, and upon arriving, was warmly greeted by Rossa. A very nice lady. Thank you Rossa. Will definitely come back 🥰

Stayed in chalet #11 with my family of four, kids aged 9 and 12. This is a two-BR chalet, with a queen bed in the master, and two singles in the second room. The chalet is neat, clean and very spacious. Kitchen has utensils, crockery and ovenware for preparing simple meals. We bought our groceries beforehand at Eaton Fair, but had some difficulty using the stove and oven combi, probably cos we weren’t used to its settings. The farm is splendid. The views from the verandah are breathtaking. The amphitheatre is so magnificent I would have wished to sit through every sunset there. Farm activities like animal feeding is great for the kids - animals like sheep, horse, emu, chickens, pig, turkeys, alpaca. The tractor ride was so memorable. Taking is lovely views of the farm estate and feeding the cows! There is also a playground, trampolines, basketball and tennis court. As a family, we have been to a number of farmstays over the years mainly for the benefit of the children. Ferguson is a retreat we think we’d visit even without the kids. Can’t wait to go back.

We managed to get a cancellation during school holidays. None of us had been to the area or done a farm stay before. What a beautiful location and a fantastic experience for us all. We are happy to recommend this place to anyone. Fun activities and the accommodation is very good.

Our first-time in a farm stay and Ferguson Farmstay is definitely a great place to check out for a couple of nights if you are looking for a clean (or as clean as a farm stay could realistically be) and safe environment to be introduced to farm animals. Our 3-year old loves it and you can feed the various animals each morning, or throughout the day as well if you have scraps. Pony and tractor ride is a bonus. The host, Rosie, is wonderful as well and so is the rest of her team. Thank you! It's also nicely situated and you can visit multiple wineries around the area or go into town for a bite or two if you are there for a couple of days. My advice will be to buy some stuff back to cook for dinner and enjoy the night. It's quiet, wonderful and amazing for stargazing. Also, please cook the eggs that you collect each morning. It's perfect for breakfast especially if you do it sunny side up!

We stayed in Chalet 6 with my 18 month old son for 2 nights. The communication and service was excellent both before and during the stay. It's a lovely property with beautiful roses and lots of activities for kids (playground, trampolines, tennis/basketball court). It's a nice quick drive from Perth which is a bonus. The view from the chalets is fantastic and sitting with a cup of tea/drink makes for a perfect, serene end to the day. My son enjoyed feeding the animals (goats, emu, kangaroo, pig, chickens, rabbits, ducks) and the tractor ride to feed the cows up close and personal! That was a lot of fun for adults too! Honeymoon pool and Wellington dam are only a short drive (30min) away, which makes for a nice outing. There are cafes/wineries close by open for lunch but bring your own food for dinner. Good water pressure and hot water too :D

We had trouble booking online and did it over email, paying a deposit over $200 for the weekend. All was confirmed by email and we were sent a receipt confirmation. We showed up and were sent to Cabin 3. Then another family arrived. It turns out they had somehow messed up the booking and even though the emails all said that weekend, they entered it for some random date in August and put that on the confirm, which we hadn’t opened because we had the emails it was attached to all confirming the details. We said look it’s an honest mistake just find us somewhere to sleep. They tried to say we had called to change it (which doesn’t even make sense given the email times) but they booked us into Evedon down the road and said to us and Evedon on the phone that they would pay for that and the kids could still come see the animals. Not great but not horrendous. Then we checked out of Evedon this morning and they told us Ferguson had not paid them after all, and we had to. Embarrassed, and now down over $700 (our deposit plus the two nights at Evedon) we rang Ferguson. Apparently the proprietor changed her mind about paying Evedon and would refund our deposit instead. Not only is that an extra $250 for us, no-one bothered to even call us when they changed their minds, so we were surprise billed at Evedon reception and are now down both payments, wondering if and when we might see that deposit again. Guys, that’s very poor form, going back on what you said and not even bothering to call us. Ruined our weekend.

Great facilities, the family and staff are brilliant and extremely helpful and welcoming. The farm experience, feeding the animals was brilliant, there's ducks, chickens, cows, pigs, emu, ponies, kangaroos, rabbits and are all well cared for and loved. The view from our chalet was breathtaking, the chalets are quaint, clean and tidy Couldn't recommend this place higher.

It was our third Farm stay experience within the South West and it was great. Firstly the access to the farm stay was very easy through the GPS and it was just under 2 hours from Perth. We were in Chalet 1 and the view from it was very good. I reckon every Chalet offers good view. The early morning farm activities were amazing. My little one loved the animal feeding, pony riding and of course the tractor ride. It was a great experience feeding the hungry cows from the back of the tractor. The only different experience that I had comparing the other farm stays that i had been to was you dont have access to any animals apart from the feeding time. Eg Rabbit, Ducks, Chooks etc which was a little put off to our expecation. But it is the way it is.. cant complain. Also, restaurant wasn't there on site, so ended up going to Boyanup and Bunbury for food. So, if you are planning to avoid travelling back and forth for food, please stock up the food for your stay/cook food from the chalets. Overall, we had a great time with the Ferguson Farmstay. The main highlight of this farmstay which i havent seen in any reviews below is their dam in which you can actually swim. The water was icy cold but we had a great time swimming there. You can also canoe through the waters. Please be aware that it is deep as you go to the middle. So please make sure you collect life jackets from the reception if you are canoeing.
