We stayed for four nights in a two bedroom beach villa with pool.

The resort is brand new, operating from just over a month. The rooms are very modern and well equiped with a full ironing board, life jackets and even beach chappals :)

The weather was just perfect during our stay and having a plunge pool in the villa made was a lot of fun for our 6 year old.

Special shout out to Chef Devjit who took extra efforts to attend to our Indian taste buds with loads of vegetarian options.

I am really thankful to Bhagyashree from guest services who was proactive in arranging birthday celebrations for my husband and taking care of all checkout formalities (including filling our IMUGA forms which was of great help).

My daughter had gala time at Kid’s Hub area with Torsa who was warm and friendly. My daughter loved all the fun art & craft activities. Torsa made sure my daughter was attended to and engaged at all times. Not to mention the design n layout of kids play area was very spacious. There were unique rides and games which kept my daughter occupied.

The serving staff at Turquoise restaurant were very friendly and took care of all our needs. Special shout out to Yoga, Naga and Arun.

If I could change anything it would be the sea plane ride, it would have been much better if it was a direct flight, ours had a stop over in the middle on the way to the resort which did get a bit tiring.

In the end.. It felt like a made to order stay that has become truly a memorable trip for our family.

We recently spent a week at Le Meridian Maldives and it was a fantastic visit. It was our first visit to the Maldives and given our experience, we certainly chose the best resort.
Room
We stayed in a sunrise overwater villa. Upon checking in we had asked if there were any upgrades to a sunset villa with a pool, however we quickly realized we didn't need one. The sunrise villa overlooks the island and is a great place to snorkel. The villa itself is spacious and the staff cleaning did a fantastic job keeping it organized and with the minibar full. They even created a 'happy anniversary' sign for us when we checked in with chocolates and champagne.
Food
As fairly picky eaters, I would say the food at every restaurant was fantastic. We never got tired of the options and the service was always great. Particularly, Yoga and Leem at Turquoise and Velaa made us feel very welcomed. We ate at Tabemasu 3 separate nights and were impressed by the selection and quality of the food there (including vegetarian options). Finally, perhaps our favorite place to go was Riviera Bar right near the adult pool where Deepak serves incredible specialty cocktails. There was also a DJ that would come to Riviera which was a lot of fun.
Water Sports
There is a wide selection of water sports toys which are brand new - we could have done something different every day. We went out on a jet ski one day (my first time on one) and a staff member brought us snorkeling and to the hotel's private islands. We highly suggest the private islands during low tide which can also be accessed via boat. They are stunning. We also heard from other guests that the sunset cruise is amazing and they got to see a lot of dolphins.
Etc.
Again, I cannot reinforce how great the staff is at the hotel - catering to our every request and happy to pick us up in a buggy when we wanted a ride to breakfast, lunch, etc. Everyone says hello as they pass you and it is a really friendly environment. We felt very safe as well with staff wearing masks everywhere in the resort and consistently cleaning their hands/making sanitizer available to us. Everything at the resort is brand new, but is very well operated.
We highly suggest staying at Le Meridian and hope to be back soon!

This was our first time in Maldives and even though our expectations were high this hotel exceeded them. It is very new so the facilities are very well maintained, the overwater sunset villa was just a dream. The wifi was great so this hotel can be your go to even if you want to work from home. Food was delicious and there was always a lot of variety.
The staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable - room cleaning 2x per day, golf carts always available to take us around the island and the service at the restaurants was very attentive and fulfilled all our special requests. Special thanks to Yoga for his great energy and conversations and getting us their amazing Lava cake recipe.
The gym is also beautiful, had a nice sea view and offered some classes like pilates, yoga and boot camp.
The only downside from my perspective would be that despite the quite high price for the room itself pretty much all of the activities are charged extra and quite overpriced (snorkeling the house reef 50$ for 1h, turtle quest 80$ etc.) as well as some food and drinks when you don't buy all inclusive.
Overall really a great stay, beautiful island, beautiful sea and a beautiful hotel :).
Thanks again to all the staff as well.

My husband and I took our first alone trip since our kids were born and couldn't be happier with our choice! Le Meridien Maldives exceeded our expectations making the long travel time from Michigan well worth it!
We stayed at the Sunset overwater villas- the room was incredibly thought out, everything focuses on the amazing views and access to the beautiful, crystalline, warm waters right outside your terrace with a ladder from the terrace right to the ocean. Bathroom also has panoramic views to the gorgeous ocean and privacy walls between villas keeps everything private.
Food was incredible! We did 4 days of the all-inclusive (Full Board) option and 4 days regular. Food and drinks did not disappoint. Everything we tried was incredible and very fresh! Breakfast is a feast, the buffett has so many different options you will never get tired of eating there. There are so many cultures combined, they offer food for anyone's palate. Fresh fruits and chocolate crepes topped it all off for me.
Resort itself is very meticulously kept daily, we loved the sand (but hard surfaces) floors all throughout making it more relaxed/beachy but luxurious at the same time. The nature around the resort has been kept beautifully. Gym is incredible, we spent time at the gym every day, it has incredible views, it's clean and has everything anyone would need to workout from running to some crossfit style. Sunset and Sunrise yoga were our personal favorites! Tia and Raj did an amazing job keeping us relaxed and in shape throughout our stay and always with a smile on their face! We loved their classes and everyday they offer something different so nobody gets bored!
The best part of all are the staff! EVERYONE is very nice and always have a smile on their face visible even under the masks! They make it a point to know your names and pay close attention to your preferences/needs/wants! It's like they can read your mind. Special thanks to one of our waiters Vishnu, who went above and beyond to make us comfortable and already knew our favorite drinks and meals by the end of the trip :) Christine, Isha, Yoga and so many more that made our stay so much better! Our wonderful villa-keeper Simattey! What a treat for us to see the different animals/art he made with towels everyday, including rose petals at times! He knew exactly to leave a little extra coffee and milk in our room everyday because he was paying attention to details! Left notes at turn down service... incredible service all together! We are truly thankful for all of their very hard work to make everyone happy at the resort!
In conclusion..... we loved it so much that are already planning on going back next year for more!... despite the long flights!

Literally everything was seamless from the moment we landed we were escorted to the lounge where we awaited our seaplane to the private Le Meridien island. Once we landed at the island we were greeted with smiling faces and a welcome drink! Check in was swift as the GM came over to welcome us before we were carted off to our bungalow across the island! All of the staff were fantastic, so courteous, and professional. We opted for all inclusive and enjoyed each meal! Literally every meal was fantastic! The menus were diverse enough that we were not bored after 7 days. With three options to choose from for dinner each night we naturally kept gravitating to Vella for dinner (and honestly each lunch too)! We had the best service from all of the staff, but in particular Ms. Hana. Not only did Ms. Hana remember our names from day 1, but she recalled our favorite drinks, appetizers and would often work with the bartender or chef to slightly alter our order from the prefix menu! Ms. Hana went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was top notch!

The rooms were fantastic as well! I’ve never taken so many baths in just 7 days, but it’s hard to resist a jet lag sunrise from the bath tub! The breeze was so lovely we spent every night with the doors open to the ocean sound and slept so peacefully.

The amenities are endless as well! There are plenty of activities that are free of charge, including paddle boarding, kayaking in their glass bottom kayaks, and snorkeling the local house reef. There is also a dive shop on the island with daily dives! We did a few dives and the team was really accommodating to my BF who was only doing a discovery dive.

For the ultimate relaxation head to the SPA where you’ll be mesmerized by the plexi glass floor where you can observe the sea life before you fall asleep from relaxation. Enjoy the outdoor toilet and ask your massage therapist to open the double doors during treatment for natures soundtrack!

List goes on and on! The Le Meridien Maldives Resort and Spa really nailed it!

Enjoy!

This is an amazing place where the resorts biggest and by far the best asset are the staff.
The reception at the airport was outstanding and everything taken care of and superbly organized. The transfer on to the seaplane was seamless and the lounge at the seaplane terminal of a very good standard. Needless to say the seaplane transfer was an experience on its own and one of the highlights of this holiday although it is of my opinion that seaplane fare is rather expensive.

After a couple small hiccups after arrival such as no water in the villa for about 3 hours on two consecutive days and the smoke/fire alarm going off at 2.30 in the morning for no apparent reason, the rest of the stay went along very well. These inconveniences were very quickly rectified and explained and most certainly due to minor teething issues since the resort is brand new. They never happened again.

The food quality and choice is excellent. We stayed on an all inclusive package and the drink selection and availability leaves a bit to be desired. Certain drinks that are mentioned in the all inclusive beverage list such as certain wines, aperitifs and liquors were occasionally not available. definitely an improvement needed there.

As I said this resort’s biggest asset is surely the staff. They are super nice, try to accommodate your tiniest needs, attentive and incredibly remembered all our first names even after a short while.
Although all the staff are to be commended, I cannot not mention Lisa from accounts, Bhagia from reception and the delightful Christine at the Velaa restaurant. I cannot remember the name of the chef that gave me the best piece of Ribeye steak that I have ever tasted, but bravo, well done.

I cannot recommend this resort strongly enough, world events permitting I shall surely be back.

Thank you for a wonderful stay, well done and keep it up.

We arrived at Male airport to be received by Meridien employee, who took care of us checking us in to the sea plane and made us wait in a lounge, until our sea plane arrived.

We had a warm welcome at the resort and were guided to the Hub, served with refreshment drinks and we had the staff take us around the entire property which is beautifully set in a natural island. Surrounded by beaches and corals, it was like paradise on earth.

Our rooms were sunrise over water villa, the interiors were aesthetically designed, we were served with chilled champagne and chocolates in our room. The room has a spacious deck, which directly leads you to the shallow waters, perfect for dry snorkeling and forget not to mention the hammock was my perfect spot to read.

The highlight of the tour was food, we dined at their turquoise restaurant all three days during our stay, the food was delectable and perfectly planned and laid out by chef Shiva and Devin, I wanted filter coffee in the morning which is usually not available in resorts abroad, to my surprise my need was noted down and the Barista Sanal had it done, he also makes a variety of coffee with local fruits and that was mind blowing, the floor staff of the restaurant Pei Yi, Yoga, Ramirez always gave us a hearty welcome to the restaurant and made us feel comfy all time during the stay. Lastly Derrick makes out of the world cocktails at the Rivera Bar.

Thanks to Bagyashree and other staff at the hub who made our departure and arrival smooth and hassle free !!

Looking forward to stay here again during our next visit! Thank you for giving us memorable days

30 min by sea plane from the main airport in Male to reach this beautiful Le Meridien resort.
The atoll is very nice, about 2.2 km around the island if you like to walk on the beautiful white sand.
Stayed in the water villa 232 on the sunset side and I must say that this was the best choice...I just wish to be closer to the reef to rich it faster while snorkeling.
The best experience was to sleep every night outside the deck on a net suspended in the air with the sound of water, a nice breeze and an amazing starry sky.
I loved the variety of food for breakfast and I will miss those fresh fruits and vegetables...
I also love the fact that the resort is not using plastic bottles, they have a nice green sustainable program and they grow their own vegetables by a greenhouse hydroponic cultivation.
Besides the beauty of the island and the surrounded nature typical of a Maldivian atoll, I must thank all the people who work hard to make our vacation exceptional. I want to personally thank all the staff at the reception for the nice welcome greeting, specially Bhagya, Arif and Amaany. A special thank you to the housekeeper Thasleen who took care of the villa amazingly, Raza at Turquoise restaurant every morning for breakfast and last the person who took care of our transfer from/to Male airport: thank you so much Nadheem (airport manager for Le Meridien Maldives Resort and Spa), your help with luggages, transfer and even with the airline staff was unforgettable, this is the type of person you want to meet when you arrive in a new place and is the last person you want to see when you leave.
See you again!❤️

We stayed at Le Meriden Maldives for 6 days and had the most amazing time!

They just opened earlier this month, so everything all the equipment/facilities are brand new. The resort is extremely beautiful, and the staff does a great job at maintaining the cleanliness of the beach front. We stayed at an overwater sunrise villa, and the views were truly amazing. The water was so clear, and it is only a short swim away from
the house reef!

My friend and I picked scuba diving and sunset fishing for our paid activities during the trip. It was both our first time to scuba dive, but our instructor was so helpful and took great care of us. We went about8 meters down, and we even saw a sting ray and a lot of other colorful fishes. It was truly a memorable experience! The water was quite bumpy the night we went out for sunset fishing but that didnt stop us from having a wonderful experience. I’ve never gone fishing before, so I didn’t catch anything on my own; the instructor was nice enough to give us the experience of reeling in a live fish by catching one for us and letting us pull it up the boat.

There are 6 different restaurants/bars at the resort, and all of them were excellent. We absolutely loved the breakfast buffet. They served fresh fruit juices and pastries that I couldn’t get enough of. My friend also loved the daily soup that they served at the buffet. For lunch, we frequented Velaa, where we met the lovely server Christine, who assisted us every time we were there. My friend and I were absolutely lucky to have met Christine early-on during our stay, as she was very knowledgeable about the resort. She gave us lots of suggestions from food options to fun activities we could do! For dinner, we loved going to Tabemassu - the resort’s Japanese restaurant. We met Mifzal there during our first night, who went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience at Tabemassu (and all the other restaurants we met him in afterwards) went perfectly.

Overall, our stay at Le Meridien Maldives exceeded my expectations in every single way. The resort itself is very nice, but what truly set them apart is the staff members who provided the best service that I have ever received. From the moment we were welcomed to the resort, to when we left, and every single moment in between, I cannot count the number of times when the staff went above and beyond for their guests. I would highly recommend staying at Le Meridien Maldives!

We enjoyed 8 unbelievable nights with a fantastic over water sunrise villa, tremendous beach bar service, very good food selections (killer breakfast), sunrise yoga, scuba diving, couples massage and overall great customer service from management to servers to bartenders - basically everyone. Note: had the following not happened this experience was a 10 out of 10.

This awesome experience was undone when the resort mismanaged our sea plane departure with poor planning. They made two trips (one luggage / one passengers) to the open water free floating sea plane dock as it was a windy day and the plane could not come into the resort dock. They admitted they should have taken two boats simultaneously but were a new resort and were still learning. Missing the last plane of the day (we wanted to go earlier but they said there was no need) ended up costing $3,600 US to change our flights for 2 ppl AND they had the nerve to charge us another night of hotel costs. The sense of urgency is simply not there for departing guests and they just don't seem to realize the travel disruption costs as the sea planes are not affiliated with the national airlines. We also lost another $1,000 of cancel fees for our next destination hotel due to their negligence. Was such a shame to have a great week ruined by poor planning and basic "whatever dude" attitude towards getting us to Male on time. I asked Nilesh the GM to contact me directly be he did not do so.

According to the diving center, you can take a day trip out to a nearby island and swim with nursing sharks and maybe some other sharks. They didn’t mention whale sharks.

Hi - we went all inclusive, but I would say around 400 USD with a small amount of wine. However I believe kids under 12 eat free.
