Stayed 1 night on a powered site in a motorhome. The location was good and amenities were functional, communal kitchen seemed okay and was cozy with a wood heater. This was our first stay in a caravan park and having stayed at a number of parks now, in comparison I have to say this one is over priced for what it is.
Very happy to have selected this Park for our couple of nights in Snug. Nice functional cottage near reception, all required utensils and cooking appliances, large fridge, comfortable bed and a very good ablutions area. The entire was clean and hygienic. Contactless check-in and out and compliance with current Covid regulations. The Park was abuzz, it seemed that every cabin and site was occupied by Easter revelers and even better that everyone that we met was friendly. Snug Park, children's' playground, Bushfire Memorial and beach area just a short stroll and slightly longer to the shops and restaurants. Great vibes and an enjoyable stay.
Brilliant, Covid contactless check in. Allocated the best roomy powered site for our 24 foot caravan. Power and water The camp kitchen amazing, plenty of wood available for the fire. TV and Mobile phone access. View to the beach. We left early to catch the ferry to Bruny only a short drive away. Would definitely recommend this caravan park.
Arrived here in our camper van (small van which we sleep in) This place I would not recommend to anyone if you are not in a self contained camper with your own toilet, shower, kitchen facilities etc. The facilities within the park were very dirty. The female showers were full of sand and lots of mould and soap scum growing In grout lines. Lime scale build up on some of the shower heads meant water pressure was not very good in the shower as well as one shower head broken. Male toilets STUNK and were FILTHY with limescale and mould residue within the showers and a broken shower head and cracked tiles. Far from any sort of public health standard for a facility that serves so many people. Dog poo on grass area that had not been cleaned up, be careful not to stand in it on the way to the toilet at night! This place could have a lot of potential to be a great park as it’s location is nice but unfortunately is let down by the beach which has a lot of rubbish along the fence line met with lack of property upkeep, cleanliness to the main ammenities and care by the owners who are unfriendly and disengaging. After travelling Tasmania as well as many other states in Australia this would have to be one of the most unclean parks that I have stayed in, what a shame. Sorry Snug Beach Caravan Park but our stay with you was not pleasant.…
From the initial contact with the office staff they were rude and disinterested. We arrived around midday only to find the womens toilets a disgrace in cleanliness . I informed the office to be told the cleaners had not had a chance to clean . The Laundry was also dirty. The park was run down and extremely untidy we booked for 3 nights left after one ! The park permanents and around 1.00 am we heard a woman screaming at a man , the owners had to intervene , not exactly a restful nights sleep . Take a wide berth and find another park.
We stayed here with our caravan on our way to Bruny Island as the ferry is only 10 mins away. Located beside the beach with walking tracks, easy access to supermarket and butcher etc. Amazing camp kitchen (with wood heater, TV, fridges, hot plates, microwave, couches, tables etc) so great on a cool evening to nestle in. The facilities were spotless. Beach is just over the fence. The female host was friendly and we were able to choose our site as it was quiet on that day. Highly recommend.
This caravan park looked so beautiful and appealing on the website and when we arrived we realised it was run down and tired. The amenities were clean which was great but the general look and feel of the van park was in need of some tlc. Overgrown sites and gardens, you couldn’t see the water from any of the sites which was a shame. For the price per night for a powered site ($40) we have stayed in free and low cost camp sites which were more appealing. The location was good though. Close to shops, an IGA was just at the end of the road, but unfortunately I wouldn’t rush back here.
You cant go wrong staying at this gem of a park. Right on the waters edge. The cabins are clean and spacious. Perfect for 1 night or a weeks stay. Its a beautiful walk along the waterfront at low tide.
Stumbled across this caravan park on our way back from Bruny Island, perfect spot to stop over heading to or from the island. The powered/unpowered sites have the best location backing right on to the beach. The ammenities are also clean & spacious. The owners have done a great job with this park, we are so glad we had the chance to spend a night here
We booked a powered site for a couple of nights. Lovely reception and park. Clean amenities. It is close to the beach and there is a playground area across the road for the kids and great bushwalking path not far away.
