I hesitate to write this review because this waterfront hotel with stunning views is a tranquil, peaceful, hidden gem which I would rather the rest of the world didn't discover! But they deserve these accolades and more, so here goes:
This is a family-owned place and the pride of ownership shows. It is spotless, as they are constantly cleaning. Nothing is too much to ask and they will organize whatever you want (such as snorkeling trips, cars, etc). They will do laundry for you at $6 per load. Massages were amazing at $12 per hour. Their chef is just spectacular (lots of people from other resorts were coming to eat) and she will give you a private cooking class at $25 per person, which includes your meal. (Be sure to try her "hot ginger fish"---it's unbelievable.) The fish is as fresh as you can get, having just been caught by the retired fisherman owner of the place. The pool is just gorgeous, also spotlessly clean, and there is terrific snorkeling immediately in front of the hotel (although entry via the rocky beach can be a bit challenging). Bottled water provided in your room. Air conditioning, comfortable beds, plenty of fluffy towels---there is nothing you will want for. The entire place is meticulously maintained; we loved the outdoor private shower. Everything is open-air, so you do have to contend with a bit of nature (depending on the season) such as caterpillars or lizards. The beds are equipped with mosquito nets but we didn't encounter mosquitoes during our February stay. Some rooms have stairs, but there are others that don't, and it's beach-level so it's good for people who don't want to climb all the stairs of some of the other Amed resorts. The upstairs waterfront honeymoon suite, which we didn't book this time, is spectacular and we hope to book it when we come back. Super-nice people with impeccable customer service. We anticipated exploring the rest of Amed but we loved this place so much we hardly left, and we extended our stay a day. The service was much better than the 5-star Moana Surfrider that we just left in Hawaii. You would really be hard-pressed to find something to complain about---I can't believe they have anything less than 5.0. And I'm not THAT easy to please; check out some of my other reviews for comparison! But we are definitely planning to return here next year.

We had booked a room with a sea view, the view and the sound of the sea were fantastic. The room was large and nicely furnished with lots of storage space. For the delicious à la carte breakfast, you also sat right by the water with a view of the many fishing boats that are moored all along the coast. You need a bit of patience with the shower in the outdoor bathroom. As we were told, a machine has to start up before water comes up. So you have to leave the tap on for a while. We had a very nice experience when we left after two days. We had inquired about a taxi to Nusa Dua 2, but had not booked one. When no driver was available, the hotel operator drove us. On the three-hour drive, he told us a lot about life in Bali, Hinduism, and so on.

We stayed here for 4 nights with another couple and absolutely loved our stay from start to finish. Checkin was easy and our room was very clean and comfortable, with a great internal bathroom too had no roof and opened to the sky. Breakfast was really tasty with fresh juice and plenty of options to choose from The manager Ari and his lovely wife made us feel very welcome throughout our stay, and nothing was too much of a problem. When we wanted to go into nearby Amed (20 mins away) Ari would drop us off and pick us up without a problem We ate dinner 3 nights at the hotel as the food was outstanding, especially the fresh fish that was caught just outside our door It was a fantastic site to sit on our balcony at dawn to see all of the local fishing boats out on the horizon, and we could see them come back into shore while eating breakfast on the balcony The pool and surrounds was lovely, and really private We also had a couple of massages each onsite too, and the quality was great too We can’t wait to return!

This place is perfectly located amidst the mackerel fishing fleet away from the hustle bustle of Amed and only 200 meters of swimming from the Japanese Shipwreck. While my wife and I were there, we thoroughly enjoyed the food, view and ambience of the dining room and of our room directly above it. The only sounds were wind, waves and kids playing. Ari and January are wonderful hosts and Ari took us on a visit to a Hindu celebration nearby on the shore. The rest of the staff were all friendly and proficient as well.

Comfortable and quiet. We quickly become part of the family, Thanks to Ariasa and January, and the whole team. Special mention for the Chef's dinners (pepes ikan, sate lilit...kue surabi) Don't miss the return of the fishermen's jukungs in the morning around 7 a.m. Don't hesitate to call Andy for your trips, he drives carefully on the congested roads of Bali

As it was my wife's birthday we got an instant poolside room upgrade which was great.Literally 10 meters to the pool. Great food in the restaurant, generous serves, breakfast was plentiful.Fantastic snorkeling right off the beach, the Japanese wreck is only about 70 meters away. Fabulous staff, they all gave us hugs when we left. This resort is out of Amed a bit, but that's the attraction. Fully recommend and can't wait to return.

We had a peaceful and comfortable stay at Nalini. Ari and Januari and all the team went out of their way to make sure we had a relaxing and enjoyable time. The oceanview room was very clean with a great semi outdoor bathroom and the room and balcony had a million dollar view . The sound of the waves on the rocky beach was meditative and calming. The daily traffic of the the fishermen returning is special. Meals were very good with lots of food prepared in-house. Good snorkelling off the beach to the Japanese wreck. The on site massages were great - so good my husband always fell asleep in 5 minutes. Overall we had excellent value for money and Nalini is run by lovely caring people showing true hospitality in the spirit of Bali.. Highly recommended!

We got a sneak peek at Nalini Resort's expanded restaurant. While they aren't taking overnight guests till 1-Dec., they served us a beautiful meal overlooking the water after we went snorkeling. Delicious fish tacos, chicken lemongrass baguette, creme brulee, and amazing carrot cake. Wonderful place.

Great hotel with excellent cuisine and you can snorkel right on the doorstep. Super friendly staff who are eager to serve you. Excellent price/quality display. Quiet location but you can go anywhere with a moped. WiFi is excellent. Nice view in the morning with all the returning fishermen in their boats

Maybe I am spoilt having come here from Shankara Parada but Nalini left me disappointed. My villa was near the pool but felt very dark and gloomy. The partial outdoor bathroom was good. There is nothing around the area which I found very disappointing, and the sea was rough so even as a decent swimmer I didn't venture in. The chefs are excellent, great avocado and poached egg breakfasts. I have to say I really was bored and when a room came free at Shankara Parada I checked out early. It's much nicer there. Shame as staff are lovely, but I wouldn't return and can't recommend.
