Looks like nothing has changed we were there 3 yrs ago and had booked 4 nights and left after 1. The owner has no idea or interest in pleasing or being nice. he trys to sell a share the moment you walk in the door.

From the moment we arrived the owner tried to sell us a partnership in the resort. It obviously needed an upgrade. The room we booked was $30 a night and the owner took us to the other room that was ocean front, and he tried to sell it to us for $60. We finally agreed on $40. The sheets were...

We can't understand why this place has not a very good rating on Booking.com and TripAdvisor. We stayed there in January 2017 during low season and absolutely loved it. From all the budget places (250000 or less) where we had stayed in Bali, this was the best one: very comfortable room, good mattress, hot water, good internet connection, big pool,...

This could be a good budget guest house. The room were big. But.... They unload our stuff without any notice, they open our room without our permission, just because there's other guest who wants to use our room for days. It is so unacceptable... How could they do that And the breakfast is so awful. Never want to go back...

I felt the staff did not like me but then realised they were like that to everyone! Every time I left I was asked where I was going and why I wasn't eating there or why I wasn't hiring equipment from there!! Well they charge more than everywhere else! I was there for four days and did not get clean...

The only bad experience with a guesthouse during my three weeks in Bali. I arrived early evening at the Rising Star and booked a room onsite. The room they gave me was apparently their last single bed room. It was dark and dingy and smelled horribly of urine. Nauseated, I asked if there was anything that could be done about...

We spent three nights there, nice room with see view but bad vibes, the owner just see money money money...not recommended if you like to have a chat and meet local people. Probably you can find better place for the same price, or less.... and for alls activity maybe is better to ask around.

I went there for two days before switching hotel in the same city since it was horrible. Unwelcome, they try from the very beginning to steal money (they said the price of the room is 300 despite I showed them online price of 220. The owner (a woman) became like crazy and yelled in balinese. Then they gave me a...

This little hotel is great for the budget traveller and we had an awesome stay the owner offered us "buba gooling" which was the most awesome experience I had in Bali.Marde and his staff were awesome and so helpful.Rooms are ok for the price you pay and I like the fact that it is owned by Balinese so the wealth...

We had room No 5, the only one directly facing the sea, which was great! We stayed 6 nights for 41,500 Indonesian Rupiah per night, including breakfast. We saw this price on Booking.com, so went to have a look and the female manager/owner quoted almost double that to stay. We pointed out the lower online price so she agreed to...
