This is a very nice country Inn. We have never stayed but am sure it would be good. We have been coming here for food and drink for over 20 years. The food is always good quality. They have an eating area, bar, restaurant and outside area. With the new building the huge open space with the tressle tables has...

Visited the Chequers for Sunday lunch. What super roasts! Beautifully cooked and presented. Good value too. Give it a try if you want that home cooked flavour in really attractive surroundings. Very pleasant and attentive waiting staff without being obtrusive.

Would stay again! Takes a bit of finding but worth it. Pub and food very good; rooms small but tidy and pleasant. Staff ok in reception; better in restaurant . Lovely rural area but easy access to Heathrow, Slough, high wycombe train stations etc.

This was hyped to me so I expected it to be a lovely experience. The good points:- service good, friendly staff, lovely decor, food well presented Slight let down:- food quality for the price was lower than I expected - If I had been at a function where I was able to say something I would have, but the gristle...

I ate here with friends just before Christmas. The place has a large carpark so no problems parking, even with the Christmas rush. The restaurant is warm despite having floor-to-ceiling glass windows on two sides. Chairs are comfy and the tables are well spaced. I had the burger and it was truly splendid. It was too big for me to...

I recently stayed overnight at the chequers inn. The room was in a noisy location, and it was extremely difficult to sleep. I eventually called and they said they didn't have another room, and also responded with 'if you book next time, you should request a quiet room as we have rooms at the back of the hotel that are...

We have visited this restaurant here a few times, but the last time, a couple if years ago, we were very disappointed. We thought we'd give it another try for a birthday lunch. It was much better. The restaurant has been re-vamped and is now modern, light and airy. Food was better than last time.

Visited on a Monday night for dinner, normally that would be asking for trouble, immediately after the post-weekend rush, but I'm glad to say they had everything on the menu and the food was beautifully prepared and presented. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere surprisingly modern for such and old building. I believe the interior has recently been...
