Detailed Reviews
We camped behind the pub for one night on a powered site. Only $15 with a $10 voucher for dinner. It was a cold and windy night, so I heartily enjoyed the corned beef (yes, with white sauce and cabbage) and my husband enjoyed his rump steak and pepper sauce. The bar is very warm and the eating area had a warm pot belly stove going plus heaters. There is an outside beer garden where you could have a game of lawn bowls or pickleball. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. We would be happy to stay again.

Amazing friendly service. Couldn’t rate it highly enough. Meal was delicious… cold beer and perfectly cooked steak. Accommodation is everything we could have wanted. The publican was hands on, friendly, interested in everyone at the pub and amazingly helpful. If you are in the area you definitely should stop in.

Best food west of Brisbane. We stopped here for a break on the way west on the advice of some local friends. The food here was fantastic. I had a steak that was better cooked then most of the restaurant in Brisbane, kids ate a snittzy burger and carbonara which were excellent.
Bar staff were very friendly and kids played lawn bowls. I plan on coming here more often.

Stopped for lunch after a bumpy road from Roma. Looking forward to a good pub meal as the reviews were good.
I had a parmi with a creamy avocado topping ($30), there was so much onion that it completely over powered the meal and I had to pick off quite a bit. The schnitzel was dry and over cooked. The chips were OK.
Husband had a lunchtime special ($20); curried sausages served with rice which he rated as 6/10. Not very flavoursome and quite dry.

Quick overnight stop on the way home to Brisbane. Staff friendly, pub room good value but basic. Shared bathrooms, all clean but water pressure a bit random. Pub dinner was excellent - steak sandwiches, yum. A few locals dropping in as well as some campers from the park out the back. The bottle shop seems very well stocked and reasonable prices.

Pulled in for one night driving through. Stayed in a single room above the bar (mid week). Good sound proofing. Comfortable bed. Fantastic food. Friendly service. Locals full of character and friendly. Did I mention fantastic food. Shared bathroom, shower had hot water. Overheard other guests praising the cabin accommodation. Hope to stay again someday.

This is just the spot for a stop-over. The cabins behind the pub are excellent. The meals are excellent - best crumbed rib fillet, salad and chips I have ever had. And Happy Hour from 5pm to 6pm is a bonus.

We stayed overnight out the back of the pub in their camping area.
$15 a night with power and you get a $10 meal voucher at the pub.
We were the only ones camped here.
Food was really good in the pub. Staff were great, very friendly, happy for a chat.
Would stay again if we were passing through.

The Dulacca Hotel was constructed an opened in 1908.
the current owners, Danny and Natalie, purchased the pub in August 2017 and after extensive renovations, reopened for customers on the 29th September 2017.
part of the renovations including a new coat of hot pink paint to the exterior, (check out the website to see what I mean) a new covered restaurant and dining room and upgrades to the rooms.
this is a typical outback hotel, so no ensuites, and the air-conditioned guest rooms share bathrooms.
there is a huge camping ground out the back with plenty of powered and un-powered sites for grey nomads to pull up their caravans and RVs for a night or a week. an unpowered site is only $10.00, and this entitles guest to use the washroom and shower, and provides one $10.00 credit on the restaurant bill. what a bargain.
my group of four was returning from a trip further outback, so we rolled out our swags behind a fence and slept like logs, even when the three trailer road-trains rumbled past during the night.
Danny and Natalie are great hosts, the in house chef cooked sensational medium rare eye filets, and the Chicken Parmagiano was so good that one of my group ate two servings - we had been out bush for a fortnight.
don't miss the range of interesting souveniers available for sale, including some local hand made preserves and some very very funny bumper stickers.
