This is not an easy hotel to stay at if you are English and don't speak Portuguese, even trying to get by in Spainish or using an app to translate is difficult. On arrival we were told WE MUST wear a blue arm band, which I found ridiculous and more suitable to an all inclusive resort not a small boutique hotel. What makes this even worse is that the front gate is permanently locked as is one of the beach exits. The 2nd opened gate situated next to the beach bar is permanently manned. The room we stayed in, which is one of 3 in a wooden type cottage was comfortable but the air conditioner continued to leak and was not fixed even after bringing it to the managers attention. There solution to the problem was to place a beach towel underneath the unit. The king-size bed {room 3) was extremely comfortable. Breakfast is a combination of breads fruits yogat cheese ham and eggs all presented with very little choice. Day 1 & 2 were difficult but by day 3 and again using a mix of spainish and a translation app we finally and almost got our breakfast right. I say almost because my fried eggs arrived hard again instead of sunny side up. All in all the bed was the most memorable part of our stay. …
We were there for a couple of days and really enjoyed our stay! Location is perfect, breathtaking view, very nice pool, excellent service and food is fantastic! The owner Nado was attentive, friendly and we could note that he really take care of his place. Certainly we will be back!
Typical internet scam. Beautiful site and very high prices which makes you think the place is nice but the accommodation is really very shabby. Service is dreadful and quality really not worth the price. Such a pity because the pousada is right on the beach with beautiful palm-trees in the garden. Better installation and better service would make it a dream place. We booked two rooms and were given one bungalow. I did not make an issue out if it although sharing a bathroom was not what I asked for! But then I saw the second bedroom which was 6 square meter with a single (!!) bed and a mattress on the ground next to it. For US 250 dollar a night!! When I complained the reception just stated that on the website it said “two rooms, one with double bed and one with two single beds” when I said that a single bed and a mattras next to it on the ground occupying the entire room is not the same as that description they just shrugged. On top of that the pousada decided to start works on Friday afternoon when tge weekend guests arrived..... you are under the palm trees looking at the sea with drills going and people hammering. It is not what you expect from staying in paradise. We asked very politely (i am not a screamer) if they could change our room and could stop drilling but nobody seems to know how to run a pousada in this place. Don’t spend your money here....…
We stayed 4 nights in the bungalow. It is a wonderful place to stay. It is very quit, the beach is just in front. The restaurant of the pousada is very good. We had lunch and breakfast, delicious. The pool is great, it is big, you can really swim! The staff is very friendly and helpfull.
