Pros:
The rooms are great, really stylish and spacious and the price/inclusions and special offers are also really good.
The pool table, ping pong imand old school arcade table with Galaga and Pac-Man etc are good fun. The location is great if you need to just stop somewhere off the M4 for the night or having a long day at Raging Waters.

Cons:
The cleanliness in the common areas of bar, restaurant and especially the pool really let it down. Glasses and plates seem to sit for ages before being cleared away, the little tables next to loungers in the pool are disgusting (see photo), the loungers themselves are a terrible colour for showing up the dirt and the tiling around the pool needs an intensive sweep and power clean down. Basically everything outside looks a bit grimy and the pool water was a bit murky. The pool filter isn’t doing a great job because swimming in the morning you’d still see lot of hairs and things floating around from the previous day.
The staff are nice but under resourced, towels for the pool area regularly ran out and they’d say they’d get more from house keeping but would get distracted by other requests. Probably need some more staff on and that would help the general clearing away/cleanliness issue as well.

Overall it’s good for what you pay but it could be really great if they put some more staff on and do a serious refresh and clean of the pool area.

Rooms are very clean in house movies are great latest releases. Staff are helpful as well.

Room service could improve stayed almost 1 week sheets changed only once after requesting new ones several times.

Food is very over priced in bistro same as the mini bar. Pool gym all closed due to corona virus wich is fine totally understand.

Was told I could not play all use pool table for same reason above corona virus but yet staff can staff and chef can play pool double standards somewhere there.

Thanks

Brad

Out of the way location means there is no traffic noise or people yahooing in the streets at night. Just off the M4 Motorway so easy to get places. Great restaurant and bar on premises and a pub up the road that is also good. Plenty of cafes or takeaways within a few minutes drive.

Front desk staff are very friendly and accommodating. I didn’t pack enough food for my 9 month old baby and didn’t want to have to drive to the shops but the lovely girl at the front desk was able to find something suitable in the kitchen.

Rooms were very clean and bed was comfortable. Room includes a stocked minibar and tea and coffee facilities. Bathroom comes with the usual shampoo, conditioner and soaps and for the women, the option to borrow a GHD hair straightener from reception if needed which is a nice touch.

We are looking forward to having an excuse to stay here again!

We only got half our meals we ordered, the crispy salt & pepper squid was disgusting couldnt eat it. The service was disgraceful, others got the meals quik & table service,we had to help ourselves to cutlery drinks an find sumone to order our meals. Customers who came after us were served 1st an were spoken to politely were when it came to us was an effort to serve us.
The room was gr8 no windows made it a lil stuffy bed was comfy an room clean an tidy, there's games for kids, pool table an movie room. restaurant service needs to improve & treat all customers the same. I complained seafood wasn't cooked or edible & stil paid for it. our stay would have been gr8.Except Poor service in restaurant an food uncooked the actual motel is gr8 for family's u can watch kids while relaxing with a drink an socialise . The drive in movies are right next door and Sunday markets..I will definitely stay again but be wary what I order from restaurant u may as well order the kids cheeseburger as the adults cheeseburgers $24 virtually same size as kids burger.

Staff were friendly and polite. Loved the atmosphere and decor. Would definitely stay again. Room was clean & tidy & serviced every day. Blueberry muffins for breakfast were a great hit. Seemed to have everything for the perfect stay whilst visiting relatives in Sydney. Next time will take advantage if the drive-in next door and the Sunday markets also at the drive-in. During such unsure times with COVID, staff were noticed constantly sanitising. Checkout was a breeze.

We arrived having paid for pool view and waiting till after 2 for our room we were greeted by rubbish bins as view . They did offer 20 percent off food which would have been ok but on the second day we weee then told due to staffing no food at all no breakfast lunch or dinner bar closed. In fact nothing you take family away for a holiday not a hotel room. I understand Covid but no management we had booked dinner and no one even thought to tell us it was cancelled. So many things they could have done like told rooms free mini bar or at breakfast put out bread and fruit. Instead a lot of unhappy families.

Atura Hotel was very understanding and caring towards me and my Fiancée. They made sure we had all the amenities everyday. Even if it was the busiest time of the month/year. I also found the customer service of Bashar/Barbara and Stephen to be excellent and relaxed. They have been very caring and accommodative to our needs. The best part of the location is having the opportunity to be close to Drive-in cinemas, very comfortable bed, great TV entertainment, room service, plenty of parking, weekly markets, their festive hotel offers, happy hour drinks, pool, billiards, entertainment room and breakfast. We surely will be back for our next Sydney Visit.

My wife decided to take me away for date night with a twist.

We arrived early evening to find a well presented lobby and great staff to welcome us. Check in was smooth and the room was funky, bright and had every thing one needed.

We dined at the hotel restaurant and it had the most juiciest pulled pork burger I have every had. The amount of pork on this burger blew every other place I have been to away, by a mile.

The hotel offers free in house movies and good selection of mini bar items and coffee machine.

At 2300hrs our ride arrived, a white 1960's Cadillac convertible to take us to the Drive In movies, just down the road. Dan drove us in style and we had a fantastic view of the screen. We saw "Birds of Prey". The Drive In also offered a traditional style 1950/1960 style restaurant, popcorn, burgers and milkshakes just like the good old days........so I have been told. Anthony the Night Manager came to collect us.

We also had breakfast at the Atura and I must admit I caught me off guard, This hotel breakfast was fresh, hot and well presented, the chef was able to answer all questions.

We arrived and were assigned a room which smelt strongly of smoke, we were moved to another room quickly but no apology and the staff seemed a little put out we asked, stating its not his fault they have outside cleaners and they didn't tell him. The staff in general seemed very uninterested and retreated quickly to their phones when they finished dealings with you and seemed bothered when you asked a question or wanted a drink.
The pool and surrounding area is lovely, the pool is heated and clean and lots of sun lounges available. The outdoor ping pong table is also great fun.
The room is large for the money, modern and has good facilities.and a very comfortable bed. The window doesn't open so installing a ceiling fan would be an awesome addition.

I stayed for one night , the room was good with a comfortable bed . The room wall design was different , with high ceilings , I liked it . Few days after the checkout I noted charges in my bank statement and on calling got to know that they charged for full room bar usage charges and on raising a concern they did sort it out . So just a word of caution , otherwise nothing wrong .

does this hotel have room service? i.e.. food and drink
Answer from Andrea D
10 contributions2 helpful votes
Hi Sara J, They don't specifically have a dedicated room service team so they dont deliver to your room however there is a copy of the menu in the room which you can call down to their Reception team to place an order and when the Chef is almost finished cooking your food, Reception will call you back and advise it's almost ready and to come down to the hostess at the Restaurant and your meal will be ready to take away on a room service tray. it really isn't an issue collecting it from the restaurant and the quality is maintained. Than you can go back to the room and kick back and watch a free movie.
