Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Emu Park, Australia

This park is council owned and managed by the very friendly and helpful Steve and his wife. We were given a beach side site which was pretty spacious and plenty of shade. We were also given some rubber matting to protect our Ute as some of the trees shed nut type fruits but they are soft and probably wouldn’t have caused any damage. Amenities are spotless and the park is very well maintained. Great location for exploring the Daintree region. We were given a special seniors rate for 7 nights so it’s worth enquiring when booking

What a fantastic place to base yourself right on the beach. We enjoyed our sea views from our sites. Very well run park with fabulous hosts Joyce & Bob who go out of their way to accommodate your every need. Bob's learned recommendations of places to go & see was very much appreciated. He planned our itinerary for visiting the area; Cape Tribulation, Cooktown & the Atherton Tablelands. So appreciated the time Bob took to ensure our stay was a fabulous one. Thank you.

Steve and Jackie, I mean Jackie and Steve ;), we’re such wonderful camp hosts that really made our stay something special.
The facilities are clean and well maintained. Surrounds are spectacular. Stayed for one night but wished for more. Highly recommend a visit here!

Nicely maintained little park right on the beach (although swimming not encouraged due to crocks l)
Guests (many of whom have been coming here for years) help keep the place tidy, sweeping up leaves etc. Watch out for the "Wonga nuts" as theyl dent your car bonnet.
Just a little too secluded for my liking, but nice nonetheless.

Tried to check in after dark. Met with belligerence, impoliteness and absolutely unacceptable behavior. Will not and cannot recommend coming within a stones throw of this place. Avoid if at all possible. . . Sleeping in the ditch with the risk of crocodile visits are preferable to spending any hard earned cash in this place. This is based solely on our short 10 minute attempt to find a safe place to sleep. No compassion, no understanding , no nothing. AVOID.

Right next to the beach and very quiet. Clean amenities and shady van sites. We found this place a great base for Mossman Gorge and also Cape tribulation. So much to see and do. We spent four nights here but could have spent more. Council park but new caretakers were very nice.

I stayed at this campsite for one night as a lone female traveller. On arrival I was greeted with a friendly welcome and told that I could park wherever.
The facilities were clean and everything that you need, the shower was good and all for a good price for a powered site.
I was invited for drinks with the other campers but met another girl travelling alone there and we ended up chatting together instead. The locals there are very friendly.

I would definitely recommend.

No one running the place. Need key for amenities and no one to get it from. No one on site for security or to take money. Foul mouthed dragon lady across road very abusive when you pull up. Shame..it used to be a wonderful stay.

I don’t think they do storage. It is not a big park and has only van sites no cabins. Ring them for prices.
