The lodge at big falls is the best place for a family trip. We only stayed one night but Mr Rob was a awesome host we had from 60 years old to 1 and 3 months and everyone can't wait to go back. The rooms are clean the lodge as a lot of activities that you can do they have...

The Lodge is a delightful place to stay in wonderfully bucolic surroundings. The villas, though basic, are very comfortable and have decent bathrooms with plenty of hot water. The roof of my villa was built in a palapa style commonly found throughout Central America and the powerful ceiling fan ensured a pleasant nights sleep. The pool is nice too, though...

The Lodge at Big Falls sits alongside a river, which is great for a leisurely kayak trip. The food was good as was the hospitality. Our son's room developed a plumbing problem that resulted in both our rooms being changed, but there was no inconvenience. The casitas are great! We were able to explore the Punta Gorda area, including the...

We stayed here for 2 nights (myself and my partner in our 20s and my parents in their 60s) whilst travelling through Belize. The accommodation was very comfortable - our cabanas were the largest of the 3 lodges we stayed at in Belize and had beautiful river views. There is lots to do for all ages - tubing & canoeing...

Thank you all for choosing to stay with us. The majority of visitors still make their arrangements way in advance and those like you who "wing it" are a small minority. The fact that you made a last minute reservation and were happy with what you found can give encouragement to others. Our staff thank you for your kind comments...

We stayed one night as part of a tour package. Scott, the host was very friendly and accommodating. Our cottage had air-conditioning which was wonderful given the unseasonable heat wave. The other tour members had well appointed cabanas with real thatched roofs. The ceiling fans kept them reasonably comfortable. They all mentioned being visited by interesting creatures; geckos, fireflies, spider....

My family and I spent our Easter at the Lodge at Big Falls, and did not regret a minute of it. We thoroughly enjoyed the lodge's rustic, simple elegance, and the warm hospitality of Rob and his staff. Everyone was friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. Rob was also willing to spend the time to ensure that we were...

This was a great place to stay while you explore the country and the culture of Belize. The grounds are well kept, the rooms are very clean, and the staff is fantastic. Rob (the owner) is a great host. He arranged for us to fly fish while on our trip (I highly recommend the fishing with Garbutt's as well). Kattie...

We only stayed here for one night as part of our trip, but it was so great that I wish we could have stayed for longer. The grounds, lodge and cabanas are beautiful and surrounded by nature. Rob (the owner) is a really nice guy and welcomed us along with the rest of the staff. The food is fantastic too,...

The Lodge and grounds are lovely, and the room was nice. However, it was overpriced for what it was. We had dinner at the Lodge - a hefty $40US/person - which left us feeling ripped off. The food was mediocre and bland and WAY OVERPRICED!! A plate with dry pasta, vegetables and some shrimp on top does not equal $40US....

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay, Arctic Dweller. I am sorry that you did not enjoy your meal however, the price tag that you quote was not for that one dish but for a meal that also included choice of appetizers, desserts and included tea and coffee. The prices are clearly posted online and on the...

The Lodge at Big Falls is a beautiful, serene place to recharge, eat great food, swim, bird watch, agouti watch, chat with other guests, tube around the property on the river, watch fireflies and then fall asleep to the sound of cicadas and geckos. If you get tired of the above, you can visit Mayan ruins, learn how to make...
