Stopped in for lunch on my way from Belize City to PG. Was completely unannounced, but was welcomed anyway. Even though there was no staff, the owner made us our favorite lunch, BLTs!!! We highly recommend this establishment for anyone that is traveling in Belize. We did not stay here, but would consider it for our next trip to this...

After several days in Belize on a very small island 9 miles off the coast, we headed back to the mainland and south to the Lodge at Big Falls. It was everything we expected and more. Upon our arrival, Rob greeted us like old friends and we immediately fell into the rhythm of this special spot. Relaxing on our private...

Came for lunch and stakyed for three nights, it was so relaxing and the staff were very friendly and made us feel like old friends. Stayed in a wonderful comfortable eco friendly hut with a large tree infront that had beautiful birds and butterflies souring. Took the night nature walk with Steven, this is not to be missed, he showed...

Thanks for your review, NowHappy. Belize is a great country for discovering off the beaten track accommodation and we were so pleased you stopped by for lunch and then decided to stay.

From the moment we arrived and were greeted by the owner's friendly dogs, we felt like we were staying with good friends not at an impersonal hotel or resort. The entire lodge and the beautiful grounds have a wonderfully homey feel. Rob and Marta were great (they are the owners and have lived in Belize for over 10 years and...

LIFE abounds at this gem in the mountains -- butterflies, birds, flowers, everywhere! The staff are kind, relaxed & professional. Rob (the owner) is a mensch - he made us feel like old friends -- He is so cool & he mixes a great gin and tonic. On our first night we took a nature walk with Steven -- he...

My 2 friends and I had the unfortunate luck to be moved here for 1 night from Belcampo Lodge (which is amazing - stay there!) due to an unexpected hurricaine. There are apparently two types of rooms at this lodge. The first are very close to the main lodge, have two double/queen (?) beds, a porch, air conditioning and kitchenette....

When travellers are forced by circumstances to change their plans they are often disinclined to be satisfied with the alternatives they are offered. This appears to be the case here since she did not choose us but was sent here by Belcampo that closed due to hurricane Ernesto passing a couple of hundred miles to the north. The reviewer was...

Dear Trip Advisor, We want to add our praise to those who have visited and enjoyed the Lodge at Big Falls. During a visit to Belize, we scheduled a short trip to Big Falls only to find ourselves staying longer than expected and looking for over-night accommodations. The Lodge at Big Falls was recommended and we found ourselves at a...

I have stayed with Rob and Marta twice and thoroughly enjoyed both experiences. The lodge has all of the comforts you need and is very tranquil. We really enjoyed visiting families in the village for interactive cultural experiences too.

Location, amenities, ambiance, personal but unobtrusive attention from the Hirons (and their well-trained, friendly, local staff), and the comfortable, private, thatched cabana we called home for four nights put the icing on the cake during our incredible travels throughout Belize. The Rio Grande and Maya Ruins Tour with informative and amiable guide Stephen, and the Maya Home Visit they offer...
