Very convenient spot for a short stopover. We only stayed one night and had a private room. The staff were very friendly/helpful. Easy and cheap to get to (get a collectivo/bus rather than private taxi's). If you're doing a longer stay, a spot with a swimming pool may be best. But this is right at the entrance to the national...

Budget travellers accomodation in the jungle near the Ruins. Affordable, tranquil, basic cabanas with private bathrooms. Safe, friendly. A well established business Pancham is popular with both foreign and Mexican travelers. Well located to the ruins and Palenque Centro its a good place to hang out for a few days. I would reccomend making reservations in advance as this is...

we took a colectivo to the main gate. walked around and all places were full. it is laid back, lots of trees and a couple howler monkeys came down to look for food. most of the people are younger yuppie types and the lodging simple bungalows and a few sorta cool places. I did like the restaurant there. lots of...

All the tours around the area are great, but if you need to organise anything by wifi you're about a 10-15 minute cab away from effective wifi, the restaurant wifi costs you and is not particularly effective, there is also nowhere to explore that isn't a tour away. Despite this, the accom all around the area is lovely, and waking...

We booked two nights but left after one immediately. Unfortunately we arrived too late to change to another hotel directly after we got our "room". If you were in the army you could build something better to sleep in within an hour with all you find in the rainforest. On top: receptionist annoyed, staff in the restaurant unfriendly and no,...

You go there not because of the luxury of the hotel, luxury of room, luxury is all around you. Howler monkeys in the trees all around, jungle is all around you. One of the best places to stay while being in Palenque. Right there you get local guide who knows his paths in the jungle, incredible experience. You sleep with...

Absolutely lived our stay at El Panchen! The jungle is so magical. We stayed at jungle palace, it was super cheap and comfortable. We got a private room with a bathroom for 250 pesos but there are much cheaper options also. There are 2 restaurants, we ate at both and the food was amazing and cheap. The pizza at don...

You can stay in any ine of the several lodges in El Panchan. They are all pretty affordable and some are straight up cheap. Jungle Palace has rustic bungalows for 150$ per couple (pesos!) and you can enjoy a good meal and live music at Don Mucho's. Bring enough cash!

We stayed here for two nights in one of the cabinas and it was incredible. They offer a range of cabinas that are either private or more like a dorm. They're probably a bit more on the pricey side of a backpackers budget but the experience is unforgettable. The cabinas are pretty basic, bed, ceiling fan and ensuite bathroom, but...

Although the setting is wonderful the accommodation leaves much to be desired. Dingy buildings with awful decor. The beds were reasonably comfortable. The windows consist of only mosquito sheets so earplugs are essential as the howler monkeys start early!
