Ciudad Real Palenque, unlike her sister hotel in San Cristóbal de las Casas, is not situated in the midst of the action, but some 2.5 km out of Palenque town (further away from the ruins). The hotel has a large pool to laze around at, but rooms are rather basic. Air-conditioning is available in the bedrooms, but the unit in... More

The hotel served as a great base for the waterfalls and ruins. Clean and lovely grounds. Excellent pool. My son lovd the large slide. I liked the hammocks. Unfortuntely bar was normally closed as it was off season. Restaraunt was average and a bit pricey for quality. Solid breakfasts. Complaints would be not letting you take pool towels to the... More

This hotel is only 10 minutes drive from the archaeological ruins . It is clean, comfy and has the added bonus of a nice pool. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were a decent size, staff were pleasant and another good location for exploring the area

Stayed one night as part of tour. Large spacious room. Much needed air con which worked well. Comfy double beds x2!! Spotless. Pool was perfect. Convenient supermarket 10 mins walk away. Decent breakfast - fairly basic but does the job. Would stay again.

Stayed here for just one night in April as part of tour of Mexico. Fabulous pool and slide! Great poolside bar with good margaritas too. Comfortable room, good food. Better than we had expected. Enjoyed our stay here.

Stayed here for two nights in order to visit the archaeological site. A pleasant clean hotel with a very nice swimming pool but very poor wi fi and no coffee machine in the rooms. The restaurant was extremely hot and humid as it was virtually outside, and also very dark. The food was not good, My husband had an odd... More

We stayed here 2 nights in May 2015. The hotel is interesting in that the wildlife (Iguanas, peacocks, plus wild birds) and vegetation are entertaining there is also a nice pool. There were no coffee making facilities in our room the onsite restaurant was adequate as was breakfast – nothing special. There were no local restaurants in walking distance. Our... More

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel while visiting the ruins. I only had hot water for breakfast the first day as I had brought my own tea. I wanted an early start. There is a large supermarket within walking distance if one prefers other tastes. I took a taxi to the ruins with an acquaintance so the price was... More

Whilst not the most attractive looking hotel as it appears to be constructed from concrete the reception area was pleasant with a water feature cascading down. However the biggest surprise was our 'standard' room which turned out to be a suite! The lounge area had a sofa and 3 chairs plus a table. The bedroom had a huge bed (8ft?),... More

Hotel central to town and near supermarket. Good location to stay for visiting ruins. Rooms are average with two big beds and small balcony. . Bathroom has a big walk in shower. Toiletries and water provided. There is a safe in the room. Resturant average. Breakfast OK but only a small buffet area. You can get eggs cooked to taste.... More
