Due to COVID, we decided to explore more of our own backyard here in SA, and were happy to find luxury accommodation away from Adelaide. The owners Rick and Cathy were very communicative and helped us plan a relaxing getaway with a private chef and short boat tour. On arrival, we were amazed at the build quality and overall detail of the Frames. Every small item was looked after, which is what you expect when you book "luxury accommodation." We stayed in the Collage, and the indoor spa was fabulous for the winter time. The outdoor pool was heated very comfortable as well. Beds were lovely and pillows were also of high quality. Showers were our favorite with 4 different taps so you and your partner can have different temperature zones. The boat tour was very relaxing as well, with a prepared platter and wines served. That night we had the private chef, and again, great to just relax as he did all the cooking and cleaning. Food was of course, delicious. Overall, it was great to just totally disconnect.

Hi Scott, With all that is going on, we are glad we could help you disconnect from it for a short while. It's nice to explore your own backyard every now and then and we certainly have a big backyard! Glad you chose to have the chef come and cook the three course meal. Pete does such a great job and the food is always exceptional. Nothing like having someone cook for you and do the dishes. I could handle that each night!!!!! Thank you for your review as we really appreciate the feedback, taking pride, as we do, in all of our guests comforts. Regards Cathy & Rick

We have just spent 3 nights at The Frames and went with high expectations...we weren't disappointed! Right from the booking process, Cathy and Rick were very accommodating and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We stayed in Montage which is a beautifully appointed 1 bedroom villa with the most amazing views of the beautiful Murray River. There was the choice of relaxing on the front deck watching the stunning sunsets, or relaxing around our own pool and/or in the jacuzzi. Or when we felt a bit energetic there were even electric bikes which we took for a spin...great fun! This villa had everything we could wish for from an electric adjustable, massaging bed with quality linen, to beautiful L'Occitane toiletries, to a kitchen packed with state of the art appliances and gadgets. The breakfast provisions were excellent and plentiful and we enjoyed a complimentary bottle of wine and chocolates. We couldn't recommend this place highly enough and thank Cathy and Rick for their wonderful hospitality.

Hi Annette, Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a special review of The Frames. So glad you enjoyed your stay and hope you managed to relax and unwind. There is something about sitting on the balcony overlooking the Murray River and watching the sun go down. The sunsets of late have been spectacular and the different colours in the sky have been brilliant. I managed to take a short video on my i-phone the other evening of the sunset and a pelican happened to glide right past me at that very moment - David Attenborough eat your heart out!!!!!! Pleased you decided to take the electric bikes for a spin - it is such a good track into Renmark going along the river front. Good to hear that there were plenty of provisions - we try to make sure there is something for everyone. Once again thank you for your review and hopefully we will see you back here sometime in the future. Cheers Cathy

My partner and I visited The Frames for a few nights as a special treat after a big year. Everything was perfect. From the initial booking, all communication was so friendly and professional. Upon arrival, Martin greeted us and showed us around our retreat to ensure we were comfortable with how everything worked. The retreat was stunning and had everything we could have possibly needed and more. The pool was perfectly heated, the bed was extremely comfortable with quality linen, the shower, spa and all of the luxuries included exceeded expectations. All electronics were top quality and worked well. We were provided with complimentary breakfast for two days (hot and cold), local produce, freshly ground coffee, bread, jams, milk, juice and a bottle of wine. The views were incredibly and we couldn’t get over how quiet the retreat was. We stayed over New Years and couldn’t hear a sound when we went to bed and locals partied on across the river. Thank you to Cathy, Rick, Martin & Michele for giving us a much needed getaway to truly enjoy each other’s company in such an immaculate environment. We will be back!

It makes Rick and I and the team so happy that we could give you and your partner a stay that was perfect. We endeavour to showcase as much of the local produce as possible and to make sure your experience is second-to-none. We can’t wait to see you again and next time book our Wetland and Wildlife Safari or Flavour Safari to further experience the River. Thank you for staying with us and for your review.

We stayed 2 nights in Pastiche to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary and revisit my childhood home. We purchased a HelloWorld package which included Gourmet BBQ, a Chef cooking for us, a Sunset Gondola Cruise and the full day Wetland Wildlife Cruise. Each experience was wonderful but it left us with little time to just enjoy our luxurious accommodation so another day would have been great. Even though the package was expensive it was worth every cent and was a very memorable experience. We loved the Wetland Wildlife Cruise and the lunch on a private lagoon was very special as was the wonderful food cooked by our private chef. Highly recommended and thanks to Kathy and Rick and all their wonderful staff.

We booked a last minute 3 night getaway at The Frames after our interstate accommodation fell through because of COVID-19.
From my initial enquiry with Cathy we could not have been more impressed with the communication and how accommodating she was to try and help with making our 10 year anniversary memorable.
Everything from the Gondola ride with Rick to the in house chef and pre prepared meals far exceeded our expectations. If this wasn't enough to leave us impressed then the accommodation and offerings in Collage were next level. The cleanliness, inclusions and attention to detail have surpassed anything we have ever seen.
We feel as though the cancellation of our original trip was a blessing in disguise to be able to experience something in our home state that is truly unique, luxurious and opulent. We honestly do not feel as though there is anything that compares to The Frames. Our recommendation is to consider the all inclusive package because you will not be disappointed. The Frames is a credit to both Rick and Cathy for creating something that is truly unique. We would love to return again.

I gifted my husband with a weekend at The Frames for Christmas. We had such a wonderful high class experience during our visit and left feeling recharged and relaxed. Exceptional in every aspect, the food, cleanliness and the level of luxury was incredible. We enjoyed an amazing in house massage and dinner prepared by a chef that was sensational. Highly recommend and will be a place we would retreat to again.

Nothing was a problem for our hosts, and the property was beautifully appointed, with our own lap pool, spa, and barbecue area. Breakfast and dinner were provided partially prepared, and we cooked the ingredients ourselves when we were ready. Excellent quality and delicious. Beautiful wines and sparkling available from the mini bar. E-bikes to ride along a dedicated river path. Rick, our host, was available to answer all our questions, and is obviously proud of the level of service provided, and luxurious ambiance he has created with his wife. We had a great time and was a great introduction to our SA adventure on the Murray River

This is the second time we've stayed at the frames. Even though we stayed in different villas each time, the stays were equally incredible. The booking was easy with our needs expertly managed. Upon arrival, the first thing you note is the warm welcome, from there you take in the beautiful scenery as you melt into the luxury that the unique design of the frames has to offer. Our most memorable experiences are the in room chef (Carly, thank you again for the best meal we've had in years), the massages and the Wetlands Safari (highly recommend to anyone looking for an experience like no other that provides you with a story about the hidden gems of the river murray shared by a friendly and knowledgeable guide; complete with a delicious lunch). I would encourage everyone to experience the frames at least once and see the river Murray through the eyes of the owners who will make your stay wonderful and memorable. We'll see you guys again in the not too distant future!

Hi Kerry, It was so lovely to see you return to us. And we are so happy you enjoyed all of our experiences this time and yes Carly cooks up an amazing spread. I will pass your message on to her as she is always keen for the feedback. She really does do a great job. Have to say the Wetland and Wildlife tour has to be my favourite . I don't get to do it with guests but Rick and I try to get up the creeks as often as we can when we get a chance. It is just so relaxing and everytime we do it there is something different to see. Every time you come up here we try to give you a unique experience and next time we will do the same. Thanks again Kerry - awesome review. Regards Cathy & Rick

This is our third experience staying at The Frames. We have now stayed in all three Units. All three are magnificant and each offers somthing a little different. Nothing beats sitting on a balcony watch the mighty Murray River flow by, while sipping cocktails or chamgane. The exception to sitting on the balcony sipping champagne is choosing to staying in Pastiche where you get the same mighty view, but from the luxury of your bed. The magic sunsets, the evening stars or the magic of sunrise, the birds calling, the sounds of people playing on the water all make the destination perfect. The accommodation is absolute luxury. Massage beds, private swimming pools, spas, saunas, outdoor bath, ensuite showers that offer massage jets. Each unit offers complete privacy. There is no need to leave the accommodation unless of course you want to explore the local area by walking, electric bikes or by river. We recommend this ultimate experience once in your life time but if you are lucky enough to be able to return you will enjoy new elements.
Cathy and Rick are the perfect hosts, with no little detail overlooked and their achievement is a great testament to their belief in the Riverland.

Due to COVID we were prevented from travelling overseas for a significant birthday, and as it turned out we we so great full to be able to stay at ‘The Frames’

Absolutely magnificent, managed to perfection, I even joked that Cathy was a virtual assistant who coordinated 110% but never seen. Rick and the rest of the team, perfect.

The ‘add ons’ wet land trip, personal chef, gondola, bbq’ just added to the experience.

Nothing was too much trouble.

Only advise, do not stay for only two nights, five nights was better, even another night or two

Left relaxed and determined to come back

❤️❤️❤️❤️
