We stayed on the first floor over looking the harbour which was lovely. The downside was the road noise and constant traffic. Hotel it self was very clean with a great roof terrace for breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful. Very well placed for walking into town and surrounding areas. Parking really easy and a couple of little shops and bars...

Stayed in a double room. Far too small for 2 people, as you walked in the wall for ensuite was right infront of you. Sheets too small for bed. Towels had holes in them. Shower leaked-need new hose. Floor uneven due to missing tiles. Postive side-breakfast good, plenty of selection and great eating it from the rooftop.

This is a real hidden gem. The location on the waterfront is amazing, price is great and breakfast on the roof terrace over looking valetta is amazing. The rooms are great , a few minor repairs needed here and there but generally well kept and clean. Just over the hill is a city beach to swim at, a pastizzeria close...

We met Aldo last year when we stayed at his lovely little inn, Villa Del Porto, which is right by the Kalkara Marina. He is the last of a breed. A true hotelier that provides a degree of personal service I thought was long past. He truly has a passion for what he does and will go to extraordinary lengths...

Such a quaint delightful property run by warm, hospitable people. The rooms are clean and comfortable and what it may lack in luxury and perks, it more than compensates in homeliness and character and that's how it's marketed and what makes it brilliant. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was peaceful and enjoyable; the surrounding neighbourhood is equally warm and welcoming....

Villa del Porto is nestled in along the harbour area in the small village of Kalkara. While a bit off the usual tourist trek, Kalkara is an easy stroll to the historical cities of Vittoriosa, Senglea, and Cospicua. Transportation to Valletta, and points north, is easy available by public bus or water taxi service. Manager, Aldo Camilleri, and the staff...

A pretty and fairly quiet location (apart from noisy road just outside).Lovely old building owned by the very nice Aldo, but hotel standard very poor. Room 103 was clean & had super harbour views but room VERY small & much more suitable for single occupancy .''Double'' bed only 4'6''/137cm wide; shredded foam pillows; thin, poor quality bed linen; swaying flat-pack...

The Villa Del Porto offers a nice view over the port and the owner is friendly and helpful, and the service good. Room 204 (I don't know about the others) was quite small though and the bed laid through, and unfortunately did not have a view on the port. The place is nice, but at a busy road with single...

We were in this peaceful guesthouse for 4 days. The owner Aldo is absolutely fantastic and terribly kind, helping you any moment in planning your visits to the island of Malta. Ask for the transfer from airport! If you do not like chaos and touristic places, choose this small guesthouse about 20 minutes by bus n. 3 from Valletta (going...
