Peace, tranquillity excellent food and great service what more could you want? Beautiful countryside with pretty villages like Brantome & Aubeterre close by. Towns Angouleme, Bergerac and Perigueux within easy driving distance. We stayed 9 days and really enjoyed cycling around the quiet roads in this perfect location. Andy and Egija are the perfect hosts. I really appreciated the extra...

A wonderful few days spent staying at the La Vieille Maison which is an absolute gem. We turned up as probably two of the most unprepared guests for a friends wedding. Andy and Egija were great hosts and along with the lovely rooms and location, the food was fantastic and they helped no end get us to the wedding venue...

This is the second time we have been to this magnificent hotel, only this time we brought 30 friends with us 9 of those who stayed at La Vielle Maison. Andy provided a superb gourmet buffet for the whole of our wedding party. How do you two guys manage it? You are truly magnificent! We are looking forward to our...

We booked the restaurant at La Vieille Maison for our 25th wedding anniversary meal with some friends. We were staying in a house around 2k from the hotel and were slightly dreading the walk home afterwards. At the end of the night, we had all enjoyed the superb food, cooked by owner Andy, and the fantastic service provided by his...

Family provide brilliant service, rooms are very clean, located off the beaten track on hilltop, delicious food, all for very low price. Swimming pool. Quaint relaxed atmosphere very private. Baked camembert starter is to die for!

Wow. This place was amazing. Tucked away in a lovely little village. It's quiet. Relaxing and a great place to be. The food was excellent. I am no food critic but breakfast and dinners were the best. May have eaten too much cos it was that good. The room was great. Enough room for my family and the kids lived...

Lovely authentic rural French chateaux style hotel in a quaint village, in a beautiful part of the Dordogne. The owners make you feel at home and nothing is too much trouble. Excellent service, and the food in the resident restaurant was among the best we had during our stay. Well recommended.

We chose this hotel as it was close to a friend's wedding venue and noted the previous good reviews. We were not disappointed and our expectations were more than exceeded to say the least. I have never experienced such fantastic service at any hotel before, our hosts were only too happy to help with any aspect of our stay and...

Myself, partner and friends stayed at this fantastic hotel for 2 nights as we were going to a wedding nearby in the Dordogne. The room was great with a small balcony and the food was fantastic for both Breakfast and Dinner. The most amazing aspect was definitely the way we were treated as a group by Andy and his wife....
