While I didn't stay at Cave House, the national park folks were kind enough to show me their wheelchair accessible suite (room 3). For such an old building, I was impressed with the suite.
You need to bring your own food. The Information Centre across the road sells snacks and some food, but not anything perishable.
The tariff changes according to the season, going from $150 to $300 per night, with a minimum two night stay.
There is moderation (free) wifi and no TV, so bring a book.

I don’t know why the NSW government (NPWS runs this venue) doesn’t promote it more publicly!
It’s a beautiful historical building in an area of many attractions and it should be a lot more popular with adventurers and families.
The caves are marvellous, thermal pool is a pleasant experience, although the walk is challenging to get there.
We stayed in rooms 10+.11, plenty of room and lovely comfortable beds. The room was cosy and warm and there are 3 kitchens for guests to create their own gourmet meals.
Guests must bring all foods because the office has only a few staple canned foods.
I can’t recommend it highly enough, especially when there’s snow at mt. Selwyn.
Everything was very clean, including the kitchen.

Such a lovely location. Comfortable accommodation. Beds and linens lovely. Kitchen well stocked with all the utensils for cooking - just bring your own food. Plenty of bird life to spy white sitting on the decks. Easy access to the caves. Moderate fitness level to access the thermal pool. So sad to leave!!

We stayed in the spacious West Wing for 2 nights and it was a great way to visit the caves and experience the bush and lookouts around the place. The setting is sylvan with kangaroos sheltering from the rain just across from our balcony and birdsong everywhere when the sun came out. The building was erected in 1901 and therefore there is no soundproofing so you hear all the activities and chatting of your neighbours - not a big deal. The beds were comfortable and we had brought in a full esky so ate well for 2 nights as there is no dining here anywhere nearby.

Spent Easter in the East Wing - two families (6 people in total). The building has so much charm, felt like we were stepping back in time. Ensuite was great, beds were comfy, and the kitchen facilities were fantastic for self catering. It was so lovely to use this accommodation to explore the caves and thermal pools and walks in a leisurely way over a few days and be able to read and relax and enjoy the surroundings. We thought this stay was outstanding value.

This is a great spot for people who want to stay in nature but still sleep in a bed. Big spaces, comfy beds. The shared kitchen is well-equipped and cleaned daily, as are the barbeques. There is ample communal space to hang out and read a book at night, or to make new friends. Wifi with limited data available.

4 of us, 2 senior couples , stayed in the West wing. Although the house is historic it was very comfortable and beds, pillows etc very comfortable. It’s lovely to go off grid and do some walks and visit some caves , swim in thermal pool etc. Staff are super friendly and helpful. The only suggestion to improve is for instructions for heaters, stove etc. Also maybe a general info book. This are and surrounds have suffered in the 2021 fires and then recently torrential rain, causing some landslides. Some areas have been closed for safety reasons.

The cave was magnificent. The one we went into is disability friendly and the staff were very friendly. We had a lovely picnic on the tables outside the cave and were accompanied by a cute little wallaby who shared our lunch. The price was reasonable and we had a great tour guide.

We stayed here with my extended family group for 4 nights. It's close to Mt Selwyn for family skiing.
We stayed in the East Wing (6 single bedrooms and 1 kingsize bedroom, 2 bathrooms. Lovely atmospheric lounge room with great view. The kitchen's a bit pokey but the big dining table is great. The bathrooms are spartan, cold and the shower gets all the floor wet. The water was hot, though, so ++. The heating in general was good but it does turn off by itself at certain times and I would have preferred it warmer.
There's great walking tracks nearby and the caves, of course. Next time, I might even brave the thermal pool, but my memory from childhood was it was only lukewarm, so not that inviting in winter.
Overall, it's a fantastic location within the Snowy Mountains National Park and would definitely stay again and again.
