We arrived after a terrible trip through the forest, sat nav took us wrong route. We could hear noises in the night and kept seeing black dots on the floor which we thought were dirt. Woken one night my husband got up to find mice/rats running around they had even eaten through the sofas. We complained and we moved the...

I stayed here for a week with my sister, nephew and boyfriend. In a Canvas Holidays tent. It's a medium sized campsite by a beautiful lake in the mountains. Lovely countryside. The toilet block was clean and thoroughly cleaned several times a day. The onsite shops and restaurants are a bit pricey for camping, there are better restaurants and supermarkets...

This is a really large site with many tour / camp operators. We stayed with eurocamp in a safari tent. They have safari tents in a couple of locations on the site, unfortunately we got one in a poor location. Five tents side by side, hedge directly in front of the patio so nothing to see of the surroundings and...

Towed our caravan here, great place for families, very noisy at night. Beach very stony and beach shoes needed. We used most of facilities, plenty of space so not crowded, weekends very busy as site is open to the public.

Stayed for 11 nights in August in a Tileul chalet booked directly with the campsite. Beautiful setting for a campsite, enjoyed the water park and swimming in the lake. Facilities were good overall but would have liked an oven, chalet only had gas hob. Relaxing break in a lovely setting.

This was our second visit to Lac Du Chalain. We have never been back to a campsite so weren't sure how wed get on. We stayed in a Premium mobile home. It was clean, spacious and well stocked with equipment. The site is large and gets very busy down by the lake at hot weekends. Our weather was 30 deg...

We had a week here in a Roan mobile home (lovely). It is an enormous site with lots of pitches but there is plenty of room and lots of space. The lake is lovely to swim in although the beach is a bit rocky. It is probably better with those beach shoes on. The weather was a bit rubbish the...

Came to the area 25 years ago with our children and returned with a grand-daughter. Was a bit concerned after reading reviews but it was fine. We were lucky with the weather (over 30 degrees every day) so spent a lot of time in the lake and pool, though that was very crowded at the weekend. Site was clean and...

This was a lovely campsite in a quiet location. We stayed for 12 nights which was probably 2 or 3 days too many as we did start to feel a bit bored as there are very limited things to do/places to visit nearby. We visited the cascades de herrison which were disappointing compared to welsh waterfalls, we visited lons Le...

Beautiful setting. Our caravan was at the top of the site so a fair walk down to the lake. We enjoyed our time at the lake and the pool facilities very much. The pool is open to the public at weekends and does get VERY busy on sunny days. The facilities were perhaps a little below what we expected. We...

“This is a superb well-run campsite in the heart of the jura mountains on the foothills of the alps. The picturesque fresh-water lake with crystal clear water is a delight to just sooth and take in the mountain air - Yes, it's a bit 'in the middle of no-where'! Yes, there is not the luxury city amenities and shops right on your doorstep. But if you get bored with this sort of life, then the Domaine de Chalain is not for you. But that will be missing the point! You really feel that you enjoying a taste of a special type of holiday! Geneva is not far for a cultural treat! Chanonix and Zermaat offer an amazing Alpine experience! and try Le Pic Vert restaurant just down the road for the best fondue ever!!! - We are going back! Are you!!!???”
