We spent 3 nights here, a Christmas present from our 3 daughters. What a wonderful stay we had. The property is beautiful and the two tent domes are perched on a hill at the edge of the Marri forest, overlooking the farmland. It is very peaceful and relaxing. The tents are quite unique and very well laid out and appointed. The deck area with spa bath, barbecue and outdoor furniture is private and provides a beautiful outlook over the property. The nights were cold while we were there, but the reverse cycle air conditioning and gas fire kept us warm. On our first morning the power went out, but we were advised shortly after by Ben (the owner) that Western Power were undertaking work in the area and had cut the power without warning. That afternoon Ben arrived at our door with a beautifully wrapped hamper box with wine and a few other goodies as compensation for the power cut inconvenience, which was a very generous and thoughtful gesture. We had a very relaxing stay at this lovely retreat and can highly recommend it.

The dome is really unique and beautiful. However, given the cost and the location, it was ruined by noisy neighbours playing loud music all day and into the night. Staff did not respond to my 4 messages for over an hour and, while they did eventually resolve this, it was after 10pm. I was really disappointed they did not offer any sort of recompense. I could not get a refund as I had already stayed one night and to get a refund for the 2nd night I had to leave straight away. Even a gesture would have been something for a luxury stay?? Bottle of wine? Apology I did not enjoy my stay? Late checkout? (which the neighbours got). I am really sorry I cannot recommend this for travellers who want a quiet, peaceful (no wifi or tv) relaxing getaway.

Response from C Ford, General Manager at Mile End Glamping

Jane stayed with Mile End Glamping for two nights. A single voicemail was received at 9:38pm on the first night of Jane’s stay regarding music from the neighbouring dome tent from guests who checked in at 4pm. No other prior messages were received. Management responded to Jane directly with a phone call, visited the neighbouring patrons and asked them to turn off their music. The other guests were very reasonable. They apologised and immediately turned the music off, unaware that they had disturbed Jane. The issue was resolved by 10 pm. Later that night Jane sent an email demanding a full refund for her stay. Management telephoned Jane at 9 am the following morning regarding her email. Jane was offered a goodwill refund if she would like to checkout by 10 am. Jane informed management that she had changed her mind and wanted to enjoy the rest of her stay. A bottle of wine was gifted to Jane as part of her stay. The other patrons (who didn’t have a late checkout but were actually staying an extra night) didn’t play any music during the rest of their stay. Mile End Glamping is committed to providing guests with the best experience possible. We ask that any problem or complaint be informed to management at the earliest opportunity, so that the situation can be rectified as quickly and efficiently as possible. We’re very disappointed to read Jane’s review which could have easily been resolved much sooner after her check-in if we’d known there was a problem.

Mile End was the first stop on our down-south honeymoon. We stayed for 2 nights, and it really set the scene for a relaxing, luxurious getaway. The dome was beautifully set-out, clean and comfortable. It had all the amenities you could need. We took our own cheese, wine etc. so hardly needed to leave the premises. There are an abundance of add-ons you can organise prior to your stay. I had a massage (in the dome) with Massage South West, and we went on a private wine tour with A Touch of Glass Tours. Both were amazing! Highly recommend. I must admit, the two domes are closer together than what I expected, so it didn't feel as private. But this did not hinder our experience. Overall, a beautiful, unique stay.

We had some really high expectations of this accommodation ever since we made the booking. We’ve read the reviews, did our homework, and the excitement was sky high the day before the trip. And boy, they didn’t disappoint. We’ve seen the photos of people who stayed here before, but actually being inside the dome was such a mind-blowing experience! The serenity, calmness, and peacefulness of the surroundings were unbelievable. We felt that we were being transported to a different world, a paradise where time doesn’t matter. My wife and I came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we loved every minute of our stay. We definitely recommend Mile End Glamping for a truly unique and memorable experience while visiting the South West.

What a unique stay at Mile End! Finally YAY! Due to the virus, I had to put this place on hold, but the moment the restriction was lifted and the dome was available last weekend, I was excited. So overall, I am happy with my stay...but I do have a few issues. Firstly, the dome really is beautiful and definitely sits right at the top as a 'unique' stay. I was told by the owner that the dome is bought from USA. It's very smartly designed, huge huge dome so it's very spacious inside. The huge glasses allowed maximum view and lighting inside and also for stargazing at nighttime (if the weather was good). Speaking of weather, and if you look at their IG account, you would be so tempted to take as many pictures as possible (like me). However, again, that was only achievable if the weather was good. Otherwise forget about it. I was praying hard for a better weather, but unfortunately, the weather was crap for my whole stay :-( Anyway, there were enough essential amenities inside: a kitchen (with only microwave and bbq outside), TV with some dvds collection (no tv signal), board games and a gas heater for cold nights (though bear in mind, it's not nearly enough to warm up the whole dome, but there's heater from AC), comfy chairs to sit and read with the view. No wifi, but my optus worked well here. I loved loved loved the luxurious bed and bathroom. No problem with the hot shower and for us ladies, there's even a hairdryer :-) Lastly, of course, the amazing OUTDOOR BATHTUB!!!! It's so good lounging in it for hours with wine and crackers. You would wake up to the birds singing (gosh the kookaburras here are particularly loud), cows mooing, sheeps grazing and kangaroos hopping around. In fact, I saw an albino kangaroo here!!! Location is perfect, easy to find and not too far to Margaret River. There are heaps of local eateries and cafes suggested in the info book. Now move on to the few issues I encountered: - Noise from neighbour dome - It's very unfortunate and disappointing to have a noisy neighbour. There are 2 domes in the property and as much as I love them, I do think they are too close to each other. Upon arriving, my first fear straight away was 'Oh gosh I hope I wouldn't be able to hear the next door dome' but alas, I could and the domes are not soundproof. So if you're as unlucky as me and had a noisy neighbour who's not being considerate of others, be prepared to hear some noises when they're outside at the wooden deck, the sound of their tv or even some of their talkings. In fact, on the 1st night, I was forced to walk to their dome in my pj at midnight (it's 12.15AM! AM!!!) to ask them to turn their tv down because they had it SO LOUD. It's ridiculous and absolutely ruined my sleep. I was gonna call the owner, but because it's already past midnight, I decided to take matters into my own hand. They apologized and turned down the tv. - The outdoor bathtub was amazing, but I do think the water could/should be hotter because being outside, it meant it's colder and the hot water would get cold quickly too. And obviously if it rained, you wouldn't be able to use it, but thankfully I got my timing right so I was still able to use the bathtub twice. - The path leading to the domes was quite slippery due to the green moss. I slipped a couple of times, but thankfully didn't fall hahaha so do be careful esp after it rained. So that's all my review for Mile End Glamping. It's really nice meeting the owner, her mom and her son when I checked out. I told them about my issue on the 1st night and they're very apologetic about it, but it's not their fault at all. Despite the issues, I would hope to come back again in other better season, maybe autumn or spring and hopefully would get a better neighbour who's more responsible and respectful. I would also happily recommend this place to others.

Myself and partner visited here for a couple of nights and absolutely fell in love with the place. The drive up the gravel road seeing the domes come into view was exciting and then walking up to our dome just exceeded all expectations. The views were gorgeous, over paddocks with kangaroos jumping around and beautiful green and blue parrots flying around overhead. The decking was a perfect seating area for cooking on the bbq and chilling in the jacuzzi bath. Although the flies were particularly aggressive on one of the nights and despite the domes providing natural insect repellent had to eat inside to stop the harassment. The bed was super comfortable and unbeatable views on both sunny mornings we woke up. The air conditioning was on in full as the temperatures were 30+ outside, this made the domes comfortable to sleep in and relax in. The bathroom was high quality and couldn't find anything to grumble about. Even when the BBQ ran out of gas, one phone call and 5 minutes later a lovely called Ben pulled up outside to change this over for us. The entire stay was faultless and we really wish we had stayed a little longer to fully soak it all in. This was only a 30 minute drive from the caves which we explored during the day (mammoth cave and lake cave) and the town of margaret river was closer than that and looked bustling with restaurants and shops to choose from. Our only slight gripe was there was no normal oven only a microwave convection oven which made the dinner we had planned trickier to do. But the BBQ was fantastic so we just had to adapt. There was also about a trillion flies that wouldnt leave you alone while sat outside on one of the warmer nights, despite the natural insect repellent the dome provides for you in a little spray. But again, you're in the countryside and nothing can spoil that! Would absolutely recommend if you want a peaceful romantic retreat away from the conventional.

We saw this as a treat to ourselves & it absolutely was exactly that. The accommodation is very well appointed with quality appliances and luxurious furniture. The bed was particularily comfortable. We travelled in the "winter months" so we would recommend you take warm lounge-wear. But there was nothing better than settling in with a book, a bottle of local wine and turning the gas fire on. The cows in the field prove for some interesting viewing too. The bath (spa) and BBQ on the decking were spotless. We would highly recommend this place, especially if you venture to the surrounds and bring back some local produce to enjoy in your luxury dome.

Wow...what a stay!! We spent 2 nights at Mile End and it was totally worth it...we were there for our honeymoon and it was such a comfortable and luxurious stay. The hosts have really done an incredible job in preparing the bubble domes...excellent finishes, great layout and sensational deck, spa and views - absolutely loved it...I can’t imagine anyone would ever be disappointed staying here...

This place is a little out there, and I'm not just meaning the location.. You are virtually living in a Plastic bubble, a lavish and upmarket Plastic bubble But one none the less... After 2 nights i was starting to feel like i was part of a Mars Space Project testing out living quarters... Well all i can say if this IS what its going to like living on Mars, Then sign me up... Everything in this place is High End, The White Accessories throughout just accentuate the Style and 5 Star feel you would expect from reading the reviews.. There is also i nice private decking on the side with a BBQ and Spa, so you can relax in the bubbles with a glass of Champagne or a Beer and look out over paddocks and maybe even see the occasional Kangaroo... I think the owners have a great niche accomm idea, which is obvious by the fact that its booked out nearly 6 mths in advance all year round... Which most B & Bs can only dream of... especially considering this isn't really a Budget or midrange $$ option... During the day, if you didn't want to stay home, there is soo much to do locally, Wineries, Margaret River- shops pubs bakeries, Beaches, Dunsborough... all within 15-30 mins drive ... Pros: Living in a Plastic Bubble is certainly an experience that doesn't get offered very often... The peace an tranquility is hard to argue with ...... truly serene.. Cons: The Bubble can get hot, i was sweating even when it rained, you have to counter balance the air inside by using the AC to even out air flow, as you can't really leave the front door open to let in fresh air cause you'll get swamped with flies .. Also coming from the city or Overseas it would of been nice to have Some form of wildlife in the paddock in front of the bubbles, just to add to feeling of being in the country which i think would be huge drawcard for Foreign guests, even if there just cows or Sheep.. All in all it was a really good experience and even if it wasn't on your bucket list, i think ud just pencil it in anyway Just so you could cross it off... as Being Done.... :)
