Please clean your cabins. We took our first step inside the cabin and felt nothing but sand and grit all over our feet. Ok, so then I thought I'd sweep it out, its not the end of the world! There's a broom, but no dustpan. What we found on the floor in our "clean" cabin was nothing short of gross. The window sills are disgusting, the window screens full of fluff and crud. Behind doors in the bathroom is disgusting. We booked as 4 so you would assume that there was suitable utensils and food prep equipment to offer 4 people. It was hard. Most of it was not displayed in a suitable cupboard, but strewn out throughout. Everything was dirty, so we chose either to not use it or washed it thoroughly beforehand. When holidaying we will often eat out, but we chose the cabin to be able to prepare the occasional meal. It was hard work, much harder then it should have been. My suggestion is make a list of cutlery and kitchen utensils/equipment have it displayed. If stolen/removed charge people, but at least give a family of four some suitable clean equipment to prepare with. Ensure that everything is clean, then you would also know if things are broken. Which is also the case in this cabin. Being an older cabin does not mean it cannot be a highly functional and clean cabin. We paid just under $200 per night. We consistently use Big 4 as there is usually a standard that we can be guaranteed. We feel ripped off and our experience has successfully ruined our entire time away.

While the facilities were clean they were extremely basic. We booked to stay a week over Christmas and ended up leaving 3 days early because the accommodation wasn’t comfortable. We have stayed in basic accommodation before but felt that this was extremely overpriced for a one room cabin with uncomfortable beds and damaged furniture. The Pool was lovely but the childrens activity room was poorly kept with a tv and a ping pong table with no balls to play with. The air conditioner in the cabin hardly worked. Very disappointed after paying such exorbitant prices.

Lovely Caravan park to stay. Our cabin was very clean and tidy. We ended up staying another few nights. The staff where very nice, the pool area looks like new, beautiful and relaxing. Point Vernon is a quiet area of the bay.

We stayed in a cabin over the long weekend, the cabin was well appointed and very clean. The park is in a quiet safe location not far from shops and close to the beach. The staff are very friendly and do a great job maintaining the facilities. The pool area and camp kitchen are new and look great.

Last minute booking for 2 nights at start of second week of September school holidays. Arrived at 4.30pm to find office was closed, envelope with name was left on notice board advising of caravan site. Booked powered site for a 22ft caravan incl. drawbar. Site was difficult to get into and was not really suited to our size van. Could not locate power source apart from where the water reticulation system was connected so used that power source, no access to water connection for hoses, luckily we had full tanks. Park and amenities were clean, but dated. No sign of management the 2 days we were there, except when we were leaving and they were bringing in the wheelie bins from the road. Paid the same nightly rate at Big4 Adventure Whitsundays with a lot less amenities

We were able to secure a last minute booking on a very busy week - the management were super helpful and very accomodating. The park is a ‘Classic’ big 4 park - meaning old and quite outdated with none of the fancy Big 4 treats for the family such as go-karts, large adventure pool with slides, big kids playground… It’s still the price of a updated and fancy Big 4 so bit of a disappointment for our kids when we arrived. The cabin was basic but equipped with enough for an enjoyable stay. No toiletries provided other than soaps. Floor was dusty and needed to sweep out before we even began our stay. Otherwise bathroom and kitchen were clean and beds were comfy and with good quality bed linen. The resort has a one way traffic system that isn’t well signed, management could do with signing it better or remarking the road as arrows have faded.

My family spent a week here. The cabin was quite nice and affordable. The pool and bbq area where spotlessly clean and very nice. The little swimming pool was heated and is apparently a magnesium pool. Jacinta in the office was a pleasure to deal with as we had to make a couple of date changes, she was very accomodating. We will come back to this park again

We stayed here as our van was getting repaired. The cabin was quite nice. Had everything we needed. Very clean and tidy. The pool and bbq areas look brand new. The management was very nice. I met the owners Paul and his wife at the camp kitchen and had a beer with them. They where lovely. Next time we will bring the van and park up for a while.
