This is a wonderful place from which to explore the architectural wealth of the Touraine, and to learn more of a French write of the early 19th century - Paul-Louis Courier - who grew up in this house. We stayed in the Stendhal room, a lovely spacious room upstairs. All was good with a comfortable bed and a lovely bathroom....

My husband and I stayed here for two nights in July. The house and grounds are beautiful. We had a very spacious room upstairs. It was very clean and comfortable. Double sinks in the bathroom and a good shower. The only access to the room was a spiral staircase outside, which was no problem except for moving luggage in and...

If you find yourself in the Loire Valley just to the west of Tours, you should give serious consideration to making La Closerie de la Veronique your home base. Brigitte and her daughter Isa are wonderful hosts and if you speak a bit of French, the conversations with Brigitte are very engaging. If no one in your party speaks French,...

What a wonderful find. This has to be one of the best guest houses in France. This is our second year staying at Closier de la Veronique. The rooms are spacious and very tastefully decorated. The service by Brigitte and her family is superb All in all a place not to be missed.

A wonderful stay in the Loire Valley. Brigitte and her family were very welcoming and accommodating. Clean and spacious accommodating our family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers - basically 2 attic rooms to ourselves plus the use of a beautiful lounge room and outdoor settings. Rooms were beautifully decorated in the theme of the house and its past inhabitants....

We made reservations at Closerie de la Veronique based on previous reviews. We are so glad we took their advice to stay here. Madame communicated via email prior to our overseas departure. When we arrived, she was welcoming. Despite our language barrier, we were able to have a brief conversation, due in great part to the help of her daughter...

This subtle but fantastic bed and breakfast in the Loire Valley offered everything one could ever wish for. The hosts were incredibly friendly, but knew when to leave their guests some peace and quiet in the tranquil and amazingly clean luxury rooms. The antique furniture and character of the house offered charm whilst the welcome modern facilities gave the impression...

Impeccably decorated grand house, mainly dating from the 18th Century but with earlier origins including ancient caves in the ridge behind. Huge rooms with a blend of antiques and sleek designer furnishings, the best of both worlds. Charming family hosts and lovely, serene reception rooms. All within striking distance of the surprisingly compelling castle-chateau in Langeais. I will certainly be...

“If you need a stand up shower or are unable to navigate stairs, don't select the Stendahl room as it has a tub and is on the 2nd floor; one can shower in the tub, but sitting down. Otherwise, the Stendahl room is very nice. All rooms are quiet.”
