This hotel is situated in the country side. They provide a good breakfast and dinner service. This from polite staff. We also found the room clean with good views from our large window overlooking a car park into the countryside.

The Crossways is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of main roads but is still easy to find. We had a warm welcome from the receptionist on duty who promptly checked us in and directed us to our room. Our room was large, perfectly presented with all the amenities you could want (coffee, hot chocolate, a variety of tea,...

We'd been meaning to view the Cathedral and Palace at Wells for some time now and due to having our days off work coinciding mid-week this week we decided to head down. We were unable to find accommodation in the City itself so widened our search to the outlaying areas, North Wootton appearing in the listings and bringing up the...

We booked to stay in the Deluxe Four Poster Suite, otherwise known as the Avalon Suite which is the most expensive room in the hotel, but as we booked to go midweek, during term time it was really well priced - especially for what is included, as we found out when we arrived! The pictures look amazing on the website,...

We stayed in an Executive double. This had a large bed (over 5ft) and a bath. I think the Deluxe doubles had 4' 6" beds and showers. The room (105) was somewhat smaller than the other Executive doubles. With a desk and chair, a small table and chair, a suitcase stand and a wardrobe, there was not a lot of...

Stayed for one night in this great hotel. The staff were excellent and the breakfast was one of the best we have had for a long time. The room was spotless and had an amazing view over the Somerset countryside. We would have no hesitation in returning to this hotel when we are next in the area.

The staff are friendly and great at what they do. Glastonbury tor could be seen from the rooms window which was a lovely veiw. We went sightseeing in the area and...

My wife and I used to frequent The Crossways, when it was "just a country pub", over 30 years ago. If a place is situated "beyond the back of beyond", it has to over amazing service to get the customers in. I am delighted to say that even now that it has expended into a country hotel, the emphasis is...

we spent a 4 day break at The Crossways with our car club. 24 to 28 of us were staying, and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We met at 1900 each evening for our evening meal and service could not have been better. Rooms were comfortable, Food excellent, staff very friendly and professional. Highly recommended as far...
