We stayed for two nights in January and would happily have stayed longer. Gill was an excellent host, the accommodation was very comfortable and the breakfasts overlooking the estuary were exceptional. The attention to detail such as the brownies for afternoon tea and the 'bedtime story' made it a really memorable stop. Lots to see in the area and Gill...

We stayed at Kimeret at the beginning of January and have now changed our plans and returned here at the end of our travels around the south island as we were unable to find better and wanted our memories to be the best. Breakfasts are wonderful with great choices, bedtime stories, chocolate brownies made in heaven. Gill has a passion...

My husband Alan and I stayed at Kimeret Place January 19-21, 2011. It's a beautiful setting, water views, mountains in the distance. Our room was large, beautifully appointed, and Gillian pays special attention to detail. Freshly made brownies that were divine as well as fresh fruit awaited us in our room. A French press coffee maker with coffee and an...

Perhaps we are not quite as 'gushing as the majority. However, enjoyable stay, excellent views, great location and the host was most helpful. This B and B is different to many in New Zealand as it is business orientated with marketing at the forefront. $2 for 15 minutes internet, $16 for wash and dry clothes was expensive but people have a...

My wife and I loved our Christmas 2010 experience at Kimeret Place! We spent the most relaxing and entertaining 3 nights over Christmas. Our hosts Gill & Ian were superb, the food was a delight, the location amazing and the house itself is like a dream home! We were made to feel very welcome, and words can't describe how much...

If you are planning a trip to Abel Tasman, and even if you're not, consider a few nights at Kimeret Place. It is simply incredible. We stayed in the Alexander Suite for two nights in December. The room was large, comfortable, spotless and beautifully appointed. The bathroom was perfect in every way, including the wonderful bathtub and top of the...

My wife and I spent two nights with Gill at Kimeret Place on our whirlwind South Island honeymoon. Gill make us feel very much at home from the start (actually before we even arrived, given I'd left one of our bags at a previous location and had to get our stray luggage couriered up to her!) Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable...

My girlfriend and me stayed in the cottage for a weekend together with some friends. It was one of the best locations we have ever stayed in, even though we both travel for business a lot and are used to stay in 5 star hotels. Gill is a wonderful host and very helpful in pointing out good places to see,...

Have just had a wonderful weekend at this blissful place. The setting and views are beautiful and the rooms very well appointed and comfortable. The rooms had everything we wanted and were quiet and peaceful. Gill, our host, was very welcoming and prepared the most delicious breakfasts. I would thoroughly recommend Kimeret as a place to stay when in the...

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights and wished we could've stayed longer. If it wasn't for the travel agent, we never would've known about it. We are used to staying in 5 star luxury hotels and the idea of a bed and breakfast never appealed to me. I have since changed my mind. This place was 5...
