I have spent 4 nights in Victoria Guest House and I would recommend this place for sure. My bedroom was clean, well furnished and fully equiped: TV, fridge, etc. I felt like in my own home. The owners are quite kind always. Great experience!

I stayed for one night, choosing the Victoria for its proximity to the Trent and Mersey canal, which I had been hiking along.
My room on the first floor was clean and functional. The ensuite bathroom likewise though a little small.
Breakfast was excellent.

The hotel owners are very obliging if you want to bring food in to eat and they would be best to tell you where you could eat out with a dog. Sorry I can't help with that one.
