Its hard to write a review about a hotel in the Covid-19 times; but this hotel located very close to the Eden International Airport (Armenia City); is one of the best "Finca" type Colombian architecture hotel in the entire Coffee Triangle with 4 star amenities. We visited in the second week of November 2020;gave a shot to stay in this hotel even though our favorite happened to be the one which is close to PArque Cafe ; the hotel had a peak occupation on Saturday and Sunday; but the rest of the days (we stayed in total for 5 nights) was empty. Overall its a nice , calm place to relax with your friends/family/as a couple. Highly recommended place. Attention is much better than the other 4 star hotel located close to Parque Cafe in Montenegro. Pros -Proximity to Airport, you can visit other cities like Cali (4 hr drive), Parque del Cafe Theme Park (20 mins drive) -Attention was impeccable all the times -Friendly staff, they really helped me with Aqua Panela con Limon to get over my sore throat and mild fever. Really helpful. -Food was awesome, best gourmet type food (Ala -Carta menus) -Comfortable rooms, nice pool (2), nice place for kids -Suites for couples/family are really nice. Hope they had more (have only 4) -Campfires/DJ nights/Kids cinema in weekends. My 4yo really loved. -We had the entire pool for 2 days- had only 5 families staying in the hotel in the last 2 days of our stay. really cool! -Green gardens/Nice view of the Coffee Triangle mountains, Calm and relaxing, have pedestrian paths around the entire resort area for morning/evening strolls. - Lot of plants/horticulture. - Mini-football/Tennis/Gym/Kids play areas Cons -Water pressure in the shower was very weak -Confusion related to the cost of Food among the restaurant staff, they don't have buffets for dinner all the days; so they provide vouchers to eat in the restaurant Ala-Carta; but waiters gave conflicting answers for the lunch/dinner buffet voucher coupons. Some said 47000 COP and others said 38000 COP. This was a real pain. -Absence of snacks menu - specially adjacent to the pool area. Pizzeria should be open all time and not restricted only 7pm-9pm. -Didn't see that much of Covid-19 protocols, temperatures were measured only once in the entire 5 night stay. Not so much of cleaning in the pool area/common areas - neither a restriction in the quantity of person who can be in the pool area together. -SPA/Sauna/Jacuzzi was not working during our stay - Last but not the least; inspite of having a really gourmet Ala-Carta menu; i was really disheartened when they said they cannot serve Omlette in the breakfast buffet (you order it in the Live kitchen counter and the lady chef was only serving huevos revueltos/fritos) I would surely comeback again to this hotel - specially for the calmness and the quality attention of the staff members. They surely make you feel at home. Next time; probably would reserve a Suite Room. Looking forward to come back again!!…
Nice 3-4 star. Attractive. 10+ minutes from nearest town & restaurants. Huge pools and Recreation rooms, gym. 2 stories, elevator. Good size rooms , clean. Patios on all rooms. Shutters are solid w/ openings for air & light but no screens to keep out bugs. A/C works well. Nice buffet breakfast. Good fruits. Dining room is one big room, feels a bit industrial. Dinner typical hotel quality. Staying here means having dinners here unless you drive into town.
This place is truly fantastic. We stayed for five nights and found it difficult to understand why it has received so many negative or indifferent reviews. Maybe it’s improved recently? Anyway, we loved almost everything about the place. The buildings are tasteful and well designed, it’s spotlessly clean, the food is great, the staff are really friendly and efficient, the pool is huge and well-maintained, there’s a delightful ecological walk around the resort, the vegetation is sumptuous and there are birds everywhere. It really is idyllic, and great value for money too. Our only criticism was the noise, from the music playing in the pool area all day and from the machines used to cut the grass, clean the concrete walkways and to blow leaves off them. We appreciate that the staff have to clean and keep the place tidy but the machines used were noisy and intrusive. Couldn’t a more low-tech method of cleaning be employed? A broom would be more eco-friendly and certainly quieter! Overall, though, this place is really lovely and worth a visit.…
This resort is great, friendly staff, clean rooms, excellent food, wonderful setup, close to the parks and things to do and you can drink one of the best coffees of the world. You will also get to meet people from all around the world.
The hotel is a large complex that is vert attractive with a beautiful pool area. The food was much less impressive. The hotel staff speak very little English, if at all. The rooms are spacious as is the bathroom. Nature abounds as birds will wake you up in the morning.
