Stayed here as part of a group. The staff was always helpful and friendly. Breakfast was included in our rate. It included a buffet along with a selection of specialties from the kitchen. We had dinner one night as well and the meal was lovely. Each room is a bit different. Some have quite lavish bathrooms while others have very... More

Booked on line and pleasantly surprised with what we found. Efficient reception and friendly staff after a long international flight. Rooms ready and waiting for us, with nice touches of sweets an biscuits on pillows. 2 lovely pools and honor system well stocked bar. Great buffet breakfast. Altogether friendly and to be recommended.

First impressions are from out side of gate it looked small and quiet. But once you drive through security gate, this place just blows you away. The warm welcome from the owners and the beautiful labrador dogs, really made us all feel at home. Rooms are spacious, you have a choice of a near the main house or up in... More

I recently stayed in room 29. From the gate the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and very cosy. They add a little human touch with the little snacks complimentary snacks that they provide in the room. The shower and bath is just simply cool. I haven't seen such a design before and liked it. All necessities... More

I agree with most of what has been said by previous viewers concerning the breakfast, cleanliness of the rooms etc. the location close to the centre of Harrogate and opposite the conference centroid also very good. The parking vouchers are also welcome but because the hotel is on a busy road you will have to park on a small side... More

I stayed at Little Scotia while visiting some colleagues at the university. It was within walking distance to the uni which was nice. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the dogs were a nice addition. Rooms were good size and clean, but cold (always colder than outside). I used the heater they provided but didn't help much and power... More

The Little Scotia Guest House is a beautiful and charming bed and breakfast. We stayed at Little Scotia for two weeks and found our rooms very pleasant and comfortable. The rooms are in a series of house-style cottages which makes for a cozier stay than a typical hotel. The real kicker was the breakfast. The breakfast at Little Scotia is... More

Wanting to be near my daughter who was studying at the University of Cape town for a semester, Little Scotia was the perfect place to be. Rooms, service, breakfast, and helpfulness by all the staff and owners were perfect. They arranged all the pick ups and transfers to and from the airport and helped plan excursions. Lovely place.

A little cottage Guest House of modern reception and old chalets. Comfortable and clean bed and breakfast with lots of privacy. It is good budget and conveniently close to the Main road. Popular among the University community. Vibrant and efficient staff though age is telling on some of the facilities.
