A secluded spot in a beautiful part of the world. We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed the experience. Pros: nice welcome, lovely grounds, good restaurant with great food, happy hour, nice breakfast included in the price, bug spray in the room, no wifi or mobile reception. Cons: rooms are tired, room lighting not great, mosquito's the size of houses and plenty of them, no phone/wifi, thin walls (we could hear our neighbours TV very clearly). We enjoyed our stay in the rainforest and knew in advance that the tropical mozzies and the damp would be present no matter where we stayed. The staff were lovely. I'd recommend the Lodge as long as you don't expect the Hilton.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. Great that you enjoyed your time with us and we will take your cons into consideration. Unfortunately with the unseasonal amount of rain we have experienced bring the mosquito's. Fortunately this is mainly found close to the creek, although in saying that some quests have been seen being taken away by the mozzies the size of houses, never to be seen again. Travel safe and hope to see you again if your ever this way. Cheers Vicki

Beautiful property set in the rainforest! Obviously given the location there are a few drawbacks (no reception/internet, plenty of bugs etc) but that is part of the charm. Hotel staff were friendly enough & the restaurant waitresses were lovely. Rooms are a little dated but the bed was comfortable & the cabin was clean. I was expecting lots of bugs but we didn't see any inside the cabin. The property is beautiful - lots of unusual plants & animals. We saw a bettong/musky-rat kangaroo, some cassowaries, lots of birds, micro bats etc Definitely worth a visit!

It’a a great place to stay. It is remote so facilities in the room are limited of course. However, the setting is superb, the rooms are comfortable and the food is excellent. Apart from a little frosty reception everyone else is trying very hard to make your stay a good one which was much appreciated. Very enjoyable and we will return one day.

We had the best time at Heritage Lodge, the rooms may be close to due for a makeover but they are clean and comfortable. The hosts are friendly and informative and the staff are great, we loved the seclusion and there were few guests unfortunate for the lodge but good for us. The swimming holes are beautiful, crisp sparkling clear water, we are already planning a return trip

This was a lovely quiet place in the rain forest, our cabin was very comfortable and clean. The restaurant had very good serve yourself breakfast and we had dinner there on 2 nights which was excellent. All staff were friendly an helpful. There is a crystal clear creek about a 2 minute walk from the cabin, beautiful cool refreshing water which we made use of for a dip each day. We will definitely recommend it to anyone travelling to the region.

Very beautiful, quite place. No Internet or TV reception. Restaurant is beautiful with amazing food and wait staff are fantastic. Place is a little run down, and inside of rooms needs to be updated. Older lady at reception was not that friendly or accommodating - all other staff are very lovely.

Our extended family have just had a very enjoyable stay at Heritage Lodge. Well maintained in a beautiful location, we enjoyed a walk through the rainforest to swim in the crystal clear creek. The restaurant had great food at reasonable prices. Staff are helpful and friendly and the accomodation is comfortable clean and well appointed.

Very peaceful, cabins are simple. We had a family cabin which slept 5, with an added fold up bed. Small bar fridge in the bathroom. Breakfast was included, it was simple (cereal, toast, yoghurt, fruit, juice and tea/coffee). But the kids were in heaven with nutrigrain and Nutella! Staff were friendly and helpful with recommendations of things to do. We enjoyed swimming in the creek and exploring the forest on foot. Happy hour drinks every evening and the restaurant serves lunch and dinner, which was good as not many options for dinner in the Daintree or Cape Tribulation. Good kids menu too. The available DVDs were also a novelty and we watched some family movies in our cabin after dinner.
