Property's Favourite Review
We booked for 4 nights and extended for 6 because it was just so gorgeous not to stay longer. Location is great, basically gives you options of doing day trips up to Cape Trib and beyond or back south to the Daintree visitor center and Cow Bay etc without too much bother. We had one of the elevated sheltered sites for our caravan and it was such a dream to have that luxury for the kids play time. The grounds themselves, well….wow hands down the most picturesque caravan park grounds we have stayed at! One of the resident Cassowaries also paid a visit just casually strolling through the park one afternoon, right up to our van site to nibble at the fruit tree berries on the ground. Great clean facilities, general store, fuel/diesel, huge camp kitchen, impressive communal fire pit. Mark & Janelle the owners were so lovely and friendly. Definitely recommend, especially for families as great safe area to run around in and swing on the pretty tree swings! Will be our go to place when we return again. Congratulations Mark & Janelle, you have done an awesome job with the place and can’t wait to return to see the new additions to the park!

The most beautiful camping spot! An absolute gem of a place to park the campervan. Nestled in the rain forest, surrounded by extraordinary mountains, go to sleep and wake up to a host of bird sounds, walk around the property and relax. Great camp kitchen, a fire pit to sit around and make new friends... would love to keep this one a secret... Stay there for a couple of nights and feel yourself unwind!

One of the loveliest caravan parks I’ve ever stayed in. Lovely helpful staff and all during school holidays. A great experience all round, even if some of the sites are a bit on the small side. I imagine it would be bliss out of school holidays.

Thank you for your lovely words. We are thrilled you enjoyed your stay. Blissful times are late July, August, September. If you love the heat then October will be ideal. If you want to experience a real wet season , in a sheltered site, then April, May is the time to visit this part of the tropical world. We hope to see you again. J.

Fantastic! Beautiful surroundings and views. Well maintained facilities and grounds. Shop and servo at entrance. Stayed here for a week for some R&R.. watched the birds and butterflies 🦋 visit the gorgeous landscaped gardens. Saw cassowaries. The toilets are lovely, modern and clean with plenty of hot water. There's a big laundry. Big outdoor kitchen and fireplace. The covered shelters are great, especially when it rains.... Highly recommend this place for both travellers or someone who just needs a relaxing break in nature. Loved that is is a dog friendly park.

We stayed 7 days at this charming and relaxing campground as part of a 5 week visit to Far North Queensland (FNQ). Our previous week stay in Port Douglas was marred by several days of rain and windy weather and as we have a small van ( Adria Altea 402 PH) with a small awning we spent quite a bit of time inside the van. This caused us to upgrade our booking a sheltered site as we knew there was potential for rainy days in the Daintree and I am so glad we did. Once under cover we were able to set up our large outdoor chairs, the camp kitchen and two ring gas burner stove, clothes line and table with no worry about having to rapidly pack everything up if it rained. In addition the sheltered sites are surrounded by plants that attract the beautiful Cairns Birdwing and Ulysses butterflies. An additional benefit was that the sound of rain did not disturb our sleep at night as it was not falling directly onto the roof of our caravan. The facilities included a very modern shower, toilet and laundry block with 4 washing machines and two big dyers. A large camp kitchen and a firepit. The grounds are extensive and included two large trees with rope swings. Mark, the owner and his wife have worked hard to create a beautiful and peaceful campground in the middle of the Daintree Rainforest that is close to attractions north or south. As a bonus they also own the adjoining shop which is well stocked with essentials ( bread, milk, chocolate, crisps) and items that can be used to prepare meals and the only petrol across the river with standard 91, premium 95 petrol and diesel on hand. You can also buy postage stamps for postcards. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend the site to anyone camping, vanning (RV) or caravanning in the Daintree . All sites are spacious and the grounds are very clean. We will certainly stay here when we next visit the Daintree.

A beautiful place to stay to soak up the surrounds of the Daintree Rainforest. We stayed for two nights in our caravan and our kids had a ball. The three swings were fantastic. The grassy hill was beautiful. The butterflies were lovely. Toilets were very clean. We wish we could have stayed longer! Close to Cow Bay, the Daintree Icecream and the beautiful restaurant at Heritage Lodge.

Our trip this year has been beset by rain. We changed our itinerary because of rain predicted in the Daintree. When we did get there two weeks later it still rained! As we camp in a small hiking tent the first night was rather uncomfortable in spite of a large tarp over the tent. On enquiry to the very pleasant proprietors, I discovered they had sheltered camp sites. These consist of a large concrete slab for camping and a gravel area for the vehicle. The whole is covered by a high canvas roof and was perfectly dry. We had two further wonderful nights with no concern about getting wet. These sites have power too. The only down side is that it is a fair bit further to walk to the amenities. The camp site is at the foot of a beautiful grassy area adjacent to the rainforest. We strongly recommend it.

A wonderful and picturesque place to stay. We did the Laura, Cooktown, Daintree, Cairns loop with 2 other families and this place was the best. Mark and Janelle were such friendly hosts, the fire pit, showers and camp kitchen were excellent. The shop was well stocked. It was such a lush and well looked after place. We loved it! Thank you so much!!!
