Danielle is a very accommodating host and her cottage is comfortable, well-equipped, and perfectly situated a few steps from a terrific sandy beach and a boardwalk which takes you right into the village nearby.
The Red Rooster Inn was the first accommodation my wife and I booked for our autumn bike tour of Manitoulin Island. Just half an hour into our ride, disaster struck as my wife fell off her bike. We powered on to Providence Bay where we were met with typical island hospitality. Danielle took one look at Kathy's wounded knee and insisted that she take us to the hospital in Mindemoya. Enroute, we saw the lovely shoreline of Lake Mindemoya. In the morning we enjoyed Danielle's bountiful breakfast complete with first rate Quebec maple syrup for the French Toast. Regrettably we cut our trip short, returning to the ferry that morning. Danielle graciously drove Kathy and her bicycle to South Baymouth by way of a stop to see her grandchildren in the Mindemoya Fall Fair parade. We can't say enough about the kindness Danielle showed us on top of spacious, comfortable, beach side accommodation.…
This is a beautiful B&B in the most lovely setting. Easy walking distance to the boardwalk/beach overlooking a vast expanse of Lake Huron made for some great morning rituals of brewing coffee and taking a nice leisurely walk. Besides the beach the village is home to some good restaurants, shops and cafes. The Peace Cafe was a personal fav ..and so was their Peace Latte ( yummy!). Evenings around the campfire sipping wine, stargazing and listening to the sounds of the waves just reconfirmed we were in the heart of God's Country. Hats off to Danielle for being such a terrific host and for running such a first rate B&B You went over and beyond to make everyone's stay perfect. Looking forward to seeing you again, Connie Bailey Milton ON
We stayed at this wonderful Bed and Breakfast Red Rooster Inn in Province Bay Manitoulin. Danielle our host was such a wonderful person who made us feel comfortable and welcomed. We felt like family right from the start. To our joy, our room was beautifully decorated with a private bathroom which was gorgeous and well stocked with items one would need. Much time and thought went in to the beauty we came into with our private room. A bottle of wine awaited us as well. Such a nice touch. Our breakfast was so wonderful. Everything and more that one would want and with such love it was made and served. The grounds were lovely and peaceful. overlooking the bay and the boardwalk/beach. It is truly a place close to heaven. We were treated as well as a loved family member would be treated yet we came as strangers and left as friends. Danielle, such a sweet spirit and someone we hope to see again soon. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.. As well Max is such a sweetheart too :) Hope to see you again soon Grant and Bethanne and Abbey (0ur little dog)…
We stayed one night in the cottage; our last night of a 5 day tour of Manitoulin Island. We should have stayed longer. The property is directly across the road from the beautiful beach and boardwalk. The cottage was immaculately clean and well serviced. Clearly the owner, Danielle takes great pride in the property and the grounds. The price was good considering the quality of the accommodations.
