Many businesses, museums and restaurants were closed or had shortened hours of operation on Manitoulin during our mid September visit due to the Covid pandemic. We felt fortunate to have stumbled upon this gem of a B and B in Providence Bay. Providence Bay has one of the best beaches on the island featuring a long, sandy shoreline, incredible sunsets, dunes and an excellent boardwalk. During peak season there is a great shoreline take out style restaurant with picnic tables overlooking the water. I had amazing jerk chicken, peas and rice. We stayed in a room that had a walkout to a wonderful balcony that overlooks Providence Bay. We enjoyed take out suppers at a patio table outside and walkers by commented: “Wow- you’ve got a good view!” which was absolutely true. But that’s not all. A clean, spacious, comfortable room (ours had a very spacious en suite including tub/shower), the use of a beautiful sitting/dining area on the main floor, excellent and more than ample daily breakfasts, juice and coffee (the coffee was great), and excellent, knowledgeable hosts Ingrid and Trevor who, as others have observed can give you detailed information on just about any destination, site, restaurant or activity on the island. On the Bay is open year-round for seasonal activities and Covid precautions are being carefully and effectively maintained. We would love to return to Providence Bay and On the Bay B and B some day and would encourage family and friends to stay there as well. Thank you, Ingrid and Trevor.…

Trevor and Ingrid are amazing hosts. Beautiful home and comfortable, lovely bedroom. The Breakfasts were delicious. Despite the Pandemic, we felt absolutely safe in their home and so appreciated all the safety precautions they had in place. We also appreciated the "Tour Guide" information which enabled us to have a most interesting visit to Manitoulin Island. The B&B us a 2 min walk to the lovely beach and boardwalk.

Ingrid and Trevor are great hosts. They have a beautiful spacious home that is impeccably clean. Proximity to the water is perfect. Providence Bay is beautiful, peaceful, refreshing and the sunsets are exquisite. Breakfast was hearty and delicious and fueled our adventurous days. Ingrid has an especially vast knowledge of every nook and cranny and business on the island. You don’t need a plan cause she’ll map one out for you that is a perfect mix of beautiful countryside drives to cute quaint local artisan shops to delicious eats and stunning lookouts. We had a delightful time.

Had a great stay here this fall & enjoyed some quiet R&R. Ingrid was a gracious host and our breakfasts were fantastic. Fruit salad & a hot dish complete with OJ & coffee. We were spoiled. The front room with ensuite was perfect - beautiful view of the bay & quite comfortable.
