Stayed here for a night. Our room was large and clean, with large windows and good views on two sides. The wood-burning stove in the room kept the room warm, though one load of wood lasted only for about half an hour, so the room cooled down considerably over night. Lighting was much too dim and the main lamp in...

Really enjoyed our one night stay in the hotel. Excellent food. Log fire in each room and hot water bottles therefore was warm despite it being cold outside. Stunning views window, perfect spot to launch into a good book. Powerful warm shower. Lighting a little dim which is about my only small complaint.

This hotel offers nice rooms, view on the valley, individual wood heater if you want to enjoy the room and the view. The food is good and the location perfect for hiking in the valley. The staff will do whatever they can to make your stay the best you can think of.

A charming hotel on the side of the valley where the Black Necked Crane live for a few weeks. The roadway surface to this area (2017) was not good at all (it is being developed but has a way to go yet and with twists and turns may well merit motion sickness tablets). I had a huge room with en-suite...

The hotel has a nice situation and the external pictures make the hotel look very nice indeed. Positives: Good-sized rooms Decent shower with hot water Negatives: Buffet food (again) which seemed to combine the worst of Bhutan, Asia and the west Wood burning stove in the room was very cute but it didn't stay in for very long and didn't...

We did not stay at this hotel but ate the buffet lunch here after our walk at the Phobjikha Valley. The food was good and they had a dessert made with bananas that we did not find anywhere else. Washrooms were fine and the restaurant had a superb view of the valley. The hotel buildings and grounds looked really inviting...

Really charming rooms - all pinewood, and huge. We were in a new wing which had electric heaters and the wood stove, and it was still cold when we were there at the end of December. The bathroom floor is freezingly cold, so don't go barefooted! We enjoyed the buffet for dinner and breakfast, but then again, we were really...

We stayed in this property in March'17 while on our way from Thimphu to Bumthang as this comes midway. We wanted to see the black necked cranes but sadly they have left in mid-march. Our reliable driver Mr. Amit Mondal (+918972563267 (India) / +97517931729 (Bhutan), he has also a Nepal number - also can be reached through his brother (Sujit...

Why are people giving this hotel anything above a 2 star? Just because it's in Bhutan does not mean our standards automatically should be lowered. If you rate it artificially high then you give people the wrong impression. This is a 2 star property. Just because you had an amazing experience hiking or seeing cranes does not elevate the property!...
