Resort has a great feel. The room was large, very clean and well presented. Great facilities with 2 restaurants and large swimming pool. The location was good with just a short walk to Coles, a bakery and eateries which were great for breakfast and lunch.

We stayed for 4 nights, the resort is nice, the pool area is stunning and always clean. We stayed in a pool access room, the room itself was a little dated and could use a revamp. I wouldn’t recommend this type of room if privacy is an issue for you as unfortunately there is no way to make the bathroom area private from the main pool area. The window blinds need to be down for any type of privacy blocking out all the natural light. We had family staying in a studio apartment and this type of room offered a lot more privacy and was better equipped than ours even though there was max 2 people per room theirs had more glassware, plates etc. Seemed a little inconsistent. We had dinner at the onsite restaurant Spice Den one night and it was fabulous, cocktails, food and service was great. It is busy so best to book. It is the only restaurant onsite so if you don’t like Thai you are limited for choice. There is a shopping complex across the road which offers a couple of dinning choices otherwise it is a 10 min drive into Kingscliff town. The shopping complex is where the breakfast is served if you get this inluded, the food is nice, coffee is good but the outlook it a little strange as you are in a shopping centre on a busy road, much rather a simple breakfast option offered within the resort either in your room or overlooking the pool. All rooms come with a washer/dryer which is great and management were very quick to respond to any problems we had, they also left Bottle of wine for me on arrival for my birthday which was a lovely touch. Overall we enjoyed our time here, there are a few inconsistencies and areas that could be improved to make this a truly enjoyable resort.

Lovely pool set in beautiful surrounds. Very peaceful. Lovely studio apartment but no screening between bathroom and living areas. Also shower water does not drain away and room was supplied with a mop which we had to use after every shower.
Friendly helpful staff, would stay again but in a different apartment

Management are extremely rude. The general manager charges five bucks for a photo copy.
You may only use the guest phone at reception for one minute whatever your circumstances. The spa is cold. They don’t help you with your luggage. At all. The room numbers are so small and there is so little light that you walk round for hours before you find your room , if you do ever find it. There is no water in either pools. The staff at reception say they have a leak. I tripped over on the tiles in the foyer. No one helped me up.
Don’t go there you won’t just be disappointed, you’ll be disgusted. The restaurant Spice Den doesn’t do breakfast, you are on your own there and the sound from Spice Den resonates all day from 11 am to 10 pm.
I’ve stayed in hotels all over the world. I have NEVER come across anything so badly run and appallingly maintained. If you need another plastic key it is twenty bucks, two keys fourty bucks. Don’t go to Oaks Santai Casuarina. Ever.
There is a building site next door. A massive one, a whole estate. The truck and machinery noise is constant.
There is nothing good about Oaks Santai Resort Casuarina. The Only positive about it is when you leave.

If you want to just relax by the pool, this is the place for you. We stayed for 6 nights and it was fantastic.

The reception staff were extremely pleasant during check in and happy to help with any enquiries during our stay. The resort was absolutely beautiful and kept very clean.

The resort decor is reminiscent of a Thailand resort and the pool is stunning. There are plenty of chairs poolside. My wife has sensitive skin so it was fantastic that the water was perfectly treated, even the spa had the right level of chlorine. The car park at the resort was handy and high enough (2.1m) for our ute.

Our room was immaculate and nicely furnished. The bed was huge and comfortable. The bath tub/spa in the room was perfect for relaxing after a day in the sun. Our room was completely open plan, which gave it a spacious feeling but at the same time lacked a bit of privacy from outside. This was not a major issue, we just shut the blinds when needed. There are electric BBQ's on the baconies, which would be handy if you felt like cooking.

This place is perfect for doing nothing (which is why we loved it so much) but there is little else to do in the vicinity of the resort. There is a Coles and small shopping village (which has a bottle shop) within 350m from the resort. There are a few restaurants in this village and we ate at 'The Crafty Cow and Smokhouse' and 'My Style of Pizza & Pasta'. The burgers and beer from the Crafty Cow were awesome and the pizza and pasta from My Style of Pizza were amazing. One night we drove to Kahani Indian Restaurant, Kingscliff, which was also delicious. We had dinner at Spice Den one night, which was very good but extremely over priced. On a rainy day we killed some time with retail therapy at Tweed Heads, which is only a 20mimute drive away.

My wife and I jogged every morning along the path that runs along the beach (accessed via a lane at the end of Dianella drive). We ran south of Dianella Dr as the path offered more shade and interesting art sculptures to check out. After our run we enjoyed having breakfast on our balcony overlooking the pool.

The resort was quiet and we enjoyed listening to the birds singing in the mornings and watching the small birds zoom around above the pool during the day.

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were great and the resort was amazing. If we need another holiday to lay by the pool, relax and do nothing, we would certainly return.

We stayed three nights mid week in early December and enjoyed the two pools and spa. The Balinese inspired design of the resort is lovely. Our room was very stylish and luxurious, felt very private and quiet, and had all the amenities we needed. We didn't try the Thai restaurant on site, as our trip was catching up with friends and family so we ate away from the resort or cooked in our room. The beach is a short stroll down the road and local shops, cafes and restaurants are just a three minute walk away.
There was no housekeeping service during our stay and there is no room service at all. For breakfast you are given vouchers to the local Cafe which was fine but might be a nuisance if the weather is inclement.
The pools were not super busy during our stay but there were noisy kids in the main pool at times.
There is a day spa which we did not visit.
Parking is available underneath the building and there is a free visitor's car park outside the building.
Reception staff were always friendly and professional.
The WiFi didn't work when we first arrived and it took well into the night for it to be fixed. We were able to use it from our second day.
The only unpleasant thing was that we would regularly find smokers outside the gate to the property nearest our unit whenever we went in or out to the street.
Overall a lovely stay, highly recommend to honeymooners and couples.

We spent 5 nights here and loved the resort. The weather wasn’t good it rained pretty much non stop for 3 of the days and last two were sunny but not warm. My daughter still got in the pool and spa each day, it was one of the main reasons we picked the resort.

The pool area makes the hotel so beautiful, gardens and indoor/outdoor lounge area and hotel entry all very similar to a Bali resort, loved it.

The room was clean and also had a Bali vibe, not a luxury Bali hotel style but nice and plenty of room and very comfortable.

I had two massages and enjoyed them both, it was very relaxing and quiet in there and the massage was great.

We ate at Spice Den 3 times and would have eaten there every meal if I wasn’t out catching up with family. The food and cocktails are amazing, nice ambience, very busy on the weekend nights.

It would be so good if Spice Den opened and served a Thai style breakfast to purchase also. Having the restaurant open breakfast to dinner would make it so much better.

Parking was under the building which was great especially with it raining so much, you would come in from under the hotel in a lift.

There was only one downfall but would not deter me from staying, was the room not being serviced, or at least wet towels and rubbish taken out of room.
The reception girls were very quick to bring up fresh towels, sugar etc though.

At first I thought it was in a funny location in a new estate but as you get to know the area and other towns it is a beautiful quite town with access to the beach just at the end of the court.

I would definitely recommend staying here and I will come back if I stay in Casaurina area again.

Positives: Our large king studio room with spacious lounge was really lovely & well presented. Bathroom & spa bath were a great size & comfort. The pool area is beautifully presented. We hired bikes from the hotel & enjoyed the proximity to the beach & riding paths. Coles located close by.

The down side: onsite restaurant operates separate to the hotel - no tab or room service. No breakfast or lunch options onsite. No bar - accept on weekends through the restaurant. Limited food options close by. The onsite restaurant is very noisy & completely detracts from a peaceful stay (especially at night). Our room was right near to the restaurant & meant we could not use our balcony as guests looked straight into our room. Likewise the constant loud talking / partying deterred from a relaxing pool experience with restaurant patrons overlooking the pool. If the restaurant was not onsite it would be a much better experience.

Location: really quiet township & minimal beach goers. There isn’t much happening in Casuarina, much more options in the neighbouring suburbs. Nice enough stay though.

Thoroughly enjoyed our short break here the resort is lovely. Our room was just a studio with pool access which was very nice but a couple of negatives, no hand towel rail by vanity or robe hook in the shower area.. & a screen of some sort separating the bathroom would be nice as you needed to be sure your blinds are down before you step out of the shower or other guests will get more than they bargain for.. 😉 we were in room 120, right next to the restaurant so quite a lot of passers by. The reception staff were lovely and check in was fast & smooth. It is time for a steam clean of the sofa & rug & the walls could use a fresh coat of paint or a good clean but overall a pleasant room for a short break.
It's a shame the restaurant isn't open for breakfast but there is a small shopping plaza within walking distance with some nice coffee shops & restaurants close by.. we did eat at the on site restaurant "Spice Den" one night & I have reviewed that separately. The resort is in a developing area and feels like a nice place, easy short walk to the beach and a great walking/cycling track along side the beach.
We will definitely stay here again.

Great location to explore NNSW, some apartments are better than others inside, that appears to be pot luck when checking in. They charge high prices at peak times but it’s not all it’s made out to be.
This also applies to guests and a large number of loud children (same family two years in a row) in the pool can impact on everyone else in the complex. There just isn’t enough room around the pool when the Oaks is full. At first glance it looks like it could be a great option for a quiet weekend.... but there are probably better places close by. We won’t go back....mainly because we enjoy relaxing by the pool and a quiet drink on the balcony at sun down.

I love the pool rooms... there’s a few that walk out directly to the pool area so you can zip In and out for drinks or food... a lot of other rooms have a view of the pool and it’s easy access to it as well from them

Good afternoon, We would not want a room affected by building noise/view, what rooms would you suggest? - I suggest calling reception after booking to place a strong request to be placed away from the construction. Are there any ground floor rooms near the pool but with some privacy? - Yes, please contact reception with this request after you have made the booking We would like either top floor, private or ground floor private - no noise. - Please specify whether you would rather ground floor or top floor, we will do our best to give you as much privacy

Sorry for the delay just saw message. They do not serve breakfast or have a bar by the pool . Totally self contained . There is a bakery just down the road but wouldn't recommend it. The nearest place is Kingscliff 3 km away where they have lots of lovely cafes. Walking path all the way . Also at saltwater resort also have a few cafes. A lovely Thai restaurant at Santai but private owners. We were disappointed that there was no bar or breakfast on site . Cheers

Restaurants at Salt less than 10 min drive, you can hire cycles at Santai if your keen, however Spice Den at Santai is excellent and I recommend it over anything at Salt. Beach is only a 3-5 min walk away.
