What an amazing place. 5 of us stayed here whilst visiting Merimbula and it blew us away. The couple that run this place are really friendly and welcoming and we was feeding Kanagroos from our hand within 5 minutes of being there. The cabin itself was clean and had everything we needed. We had all sorts of wildlife at our door and it was spectacularly surreal. We also made good use of the public BBQ space the morning we left. Great place!

Booked 3 nights accommodation mid week. We wanted somewhere quiet, in a location to explore the Sapphire Coast. The Eco cabins complex is located off the Sapphire Coast Drive, a scenic tourist road between Tathra & Merimbula. It is well signposted from Sapphire Coast Dr & very close to Bournda National Park.
Very easy check in/check out. Each cabin is fully self contained, even down to covered parking for the car. Each building has 2 cabins. The cabin had everything we needed to self cater. There are 2 bedrooms, a bathroom incl laundry facilities, a kitchen with everything you need for simple meals & a lounge area, so plenty of room for us. Wifi was mostly very good. We were given feed for the very tame kangaroos & birds, which came in to see us each morning & arvo.
Ecocabins provides quiet, restful accommodation in a bush setting. Easy access to explore the area. We loved it & would probably stay here again.

This is a wonderful place to stay and enjoy kangaroos, cockatoos and hens socialising with you at your cabin door. About 7km from Merimbula, so close enough if wanting to dine out, but cabins have everything needed for self catering (and there is a large supermarket a few kilometres away at Tura). Bush surrounds, well away from the road, mean a peaceful night's sleep in ageing, but comfortable, and spacious wooden cabins. Woodbine Park has large acreage so strolling and enjoying nature without having to get in the car is an option. Situated on the edge of Bournda National Park and entry to North Tura Beach, is a great place to get away from the crowds in a natural Australian setting.

What an amazing Place. My Mum comes here once a year and always feels at home.
Carole says " I love having nature at my doorstep, especially when i wake up and the local kangaroo's are looking through my door.
Julie and Gwilym are the most amazing hosts and I always feel like I am at home with my family. I would recommend this place to everyone as it suits families, couples and even like me having a little time to myself."

Exceelent experience. Kids love this place. Closer to the beach, feeding kangaroos, excellent customer service. I was not sure when booked this place. But my mind changed and kifs had loads of fun, close to nature, quite and enjoyable which led to extend my stay for one additional day.

We arrived in Merimbula looking for a nice fresh new hotel on a beach, and left Woodbine Park so happy we didn't choose that option.
I have stayed in hundreds of hotels, motels, resorts and everything in between. This was the best most relaxing and refreshing stay I've had for a long long time.
Woodbine would have to be the most romantic and down to earth place anywhere in this area of Australia.
Kangaroos and birds, and if we looked a little harder wombats and other native animals.
Try provided everything we could asked for and more.
Perfect place for couples, family's and basically anyone looking for something better.
Wow! We will be back with family and friends and the kids for sure.

We stayed in one of the quaint eco friendly log cabins during the Easter holidays and had an absolutely marvellous time. Our young kids enjoyed the vast array of friendly wildlife that was always close by, the heated swimming pool, tennis court and children's playground. The staff were very helpful and friendly with a number of board games, books, magazines and sporting equipment being able to be borrowed (without charge) from reception at any time (provided that we brought it back). This was an excellent change from places that try to charge for for little extra things like this. All of this combined with the quiet bushland setting made for a really enjoyable family holiday. The only drawback was that the property is located 600m down a dirt road so the car needed a wash after we got home.

We just returned from 10 days at Woodbine and really enjoyed the stay. Kids (11, 8 and 3) had enought to do and the rooms were big enough for a family. Despite being fully booked, there is no sense of it being crowded- no need to talk to the other guests. Definately would go back for value accomodation- don't expect 5 stars, but better than a motel. Things to know: 20 minute walk to the beach at Nth Tura. Lots of blue bottles there so we drove to Merimbula instead. If you drive to Nth Tura, costs $7 per day to park your car. Great supermarket at Tura Beach open until 10pm each night- only a 5 minute drive. Things I would leave at home: We took the kids bikes but they didn't use them- quite hilly and rough roads. 3 yo definately couldn't manage. Things I would bring : A good knife (cutlery etc was very poor quality and very blunt)

This destination must be good because we have been returning back there for 5 years now as a place to chill and recharge our old batteries and this year to celebrate 9 years of marriage. We feel like we reaccquaint ourselves with 5 generations of joeys, from pouch to ouch when some that are half their Mum's size decide to take as run and jump back into Mum's pouch usually leaving long back legs hanging out. Backing onto the Bournda National Forret means that there is always some animal activity to observe, whether is is the cckies looking down at you from the spout to ssee what is on offer or flying through the carports at a great rate of knots. This break lets my husband gather no hunting but gather firewood that is supplied for you to fill uo your buckets and he must have fire in the pot belly stove even if it is not required but it can get cool at night in November, I have said all the wonderful things about Woodbine in all of my other yearly reviews. It is so good, we are returning in March 2020 for husband's birthday. Hopefully the weather will be a tad warmer and I can try out the great pool. Just go and see for yourself and you will love it and be return clients before you know it. They even supply free of charge your first two bags of bird seed and kangaroo pellets. Plenty of room for kids to bike ride, play cricket, golf or tennis (not just the kids) or just run around but not chase the wild life PLEASE. Cabins have carports great for sitting under if wet whilst the car gets aa free wash or to be in the shade whilst the car takes advantage responsibly of available shade. just take yourself and your clothing, towels for pool and togs, take your own supply of food or not full sized kitchen facilities, washing machine, pegs and sufficient fr one wash soap powder if you feel the need to wash clothes whilst away chilling out. Fun Mountain not far away may or may not be open, check first and Potaroo Palace again not far away are great places to visit. Bega has the Heritage Cheese factory and a great Chinese lunch at the Grand Hotel very, very, reasonably priced and very, very good value for money. Fresh oysters available close by, food shopping very close from the fresh food people and numerous eating places and clubs to try out. Go and YOU WILL ENJOY.

We just stayed for 1 night enroute from Sydney to Melbourne. On arrival everything looked ok, the cabin appeared neat etc but when we went to have dinner there was a sticky spill on the dining table from a previous guest and when I put my son in the shower, he dropped the soap and when he picked it up it was covered with a matt of someone else's hair. There were also toothpaste spits all over the bathroom mirror. GROSS!!!! The toilet was a mission brown cistern/bowl, so no idea if that was clean or not.
If it wasn't so late, and we weren't so tired, we would have just left and stayed somewhere else, but we stuck it out and had an ok sleep. The kangaroos and birds in the morning are fun for kids to feed. I hope we got the cleaners on an 'off day' and this is out of the norm, but I wouldn't chance it again and next time will seek accommodation elsewhere.
Oh and if you want to use the advertised free wifi, you need to stand in the reception area. I hoped to use it once kids were alseep, but no such luck.
