We pulled in to stay overnight in our camper. The shower and toilet facilities are modest and clean with hot water.

It is free to camp if you buy dinner at the pub. It is well worth it! We enjoyed a couple of cold beers with the owner before we headed off for a walk around the townsite.

Dinner service starts at 5.30pm and it is likely to book out so it is worth calling ahead.

The property is dog friendly and the owners kids were happy to keep the dog occupied whilst we were at the bar. We are also travelling with a 7 month old baby and the owners were extremely accommodating with providing toys and smaller portions of the mash and veggies to feed the little guy.

The meals were NEXT LEVEL AMAZING! They are absolutely enormous and tasty!
10/10 from us that's for sure!

Well run pub and motel with owners more than accomodating in support of special diets. Great fresh meals with generous portions.
More rooms have been added and there is little noise from the highway when staying there
This is our go to motel when working in the area.

Traveling west and pulled into Moorine Rocks Hotel. Plenty of room behind and next to the Hotel to park up caravan. Toilets and shower if required. Sat in the beer garden and enjoyed a couple of drinks. The Publican was great and made us feel welcome. Will visit again on next trip. Recommended

Moorine rock pub WA , Me & my wife do oversized loads & we travel with 2 small dogs, not only could we not stay at accommodation but we were told no dogs anywhere near hotel .

It was 36* do we leave our family in the car or the truck .
to cook just to have a beer 🍺, well no thanks to them, we parked up the truck & went back to southern X where we were served with a smile & no problems with dogs in beer garden 🪴!

As well as we could get a meal 🥘.

So as a transport company & driver , BOO HOO

So sad Moorine rocks hotel 🏨 WA , hopefully you survive but I don’t know how.

Could have just let us tie little dogs up where the humans smoking sighn was & you would have made $250 minimum without our takeout again sad attitude, hopefully others have better luck .

Our original plan was to stay in Norseman for the night, but after making good time and arriving too early (around 1pm) to just waste half a day, we decided to push on and came across this place after not finding available accommodation in Southern Cross.

A lovely historic pub, we stayed in room 1 which was clean, spacious, had a comfy queen bed, separate ensuite bathroom and tea & coffee making facilities. Though close to the main highway, we only noticed the trucks very early in the morning as we were waking up.

We enjoyed a couple of drinks at the bar with the lovely lady that runs it, and then had a great freshly cooked meal for dinner which was good value.

If you are sick of staying in typical motels, give this place a try. It is full of character and the service is excellent.

The hotel/pub offers free space to stay overnight with your camper. You can also use the shower and toilets for free. But in my opinion you should go there at least in the evening and have a „thank you“ beer. Food was delicious with huge portions! Beer was cool and the owner was a really nice guy!

Jan and Bob are without a doubt up there with the best hosts you'll find. Super kind and wonderful meals. If your considering going to Southern Cross stop in for a feed whatever you do. You wont regret it

We stayed here in late 2011 and the hosts Bob and Jan were fantastic. Food was good and plentiful at great price. Rooms are basic but clean and tidy. You are right beside the main highway so you do hear the odd truck go past but I have stayed in city hotels that are a lot noisier than this.
A great old place that is worth a stay just for the history. Sit outside in the late afternoon with a beer and watch the world drive by. All sorts of interesting people turn up for the night, during our stay we met gold prospectors, truck drivers and a couple who just spend their golden years touring around the outback.
Overall a great stay with lovely people.

A country pub in the middle of nowhere with a quiet laid-back atmosphere. The owner was a very nice lady who tried to go out of her way to please. The big problem is the "ensuite deluxe" rooms 3, 2 and probably 1. The pillow (where your head is at night) in room 3 is one thin wall and about 10 metres, (30 feet) from the highway. If you get 15 minutes without a roadtrain thundering past, quickly get some sleep... I dont know the condition of what looked like "dongers" (single mens quarters) out the back but they were further away from the highway. Lovely people and a great place to stop for a cold beer and maybe a look around but unfortunately I won't be staying here again.

"If you do stay here try to get a room that is as far away from the highway as possible, this may not be an option as they are all too close in my opinion."
