My fiancé and I stayed here for one night during our Douro Valley trip and we absolutely loved it. The host welcomed us with snacks and some homemade port wine before taking us to our room, which was stunning (great decor, comfortable). We had a beautiful patio outside. There is also a nice pool surrounded by orange trees along with...

Had a pleasant and scenic drive on the sinuous road that led up to the hotel perched on a hill top offering stunning views. The hosts were warm and welcoming. The house dates back to the 19th century and has beautiful Portuguese tiles. Our room was charming, clean and spacious. It used to be part of the kitchen and the...

We stayed two nights in this fantastic property. It was recommended by both of our sons who stayed here at different times. The farm is a family run affair. Everybody is in on the business run by two brothers, one who manages the wine production and the other who manages the B&B. Even the 5 year old son entertains the...

What a place! Casa Cimeira was truly wonderful and the host family is such a delight. The rooms are huge and a wonderful value. If you stay here in the Douro Valley you must dine at Casa Cimeira. The food is exquisite, the wine keeps pouring and the company was awesome. One of our favorite experiences in Portugal.

We had a great stay. All of the family are very welcoming. You are greeted with the house port which is beautiful. The house and rooms are very comfortable. The visitors lounge has everything you need. We had dinner and wine both evenings and the food was home made and excellent.

We stayed here for 2 nights in a 200 year old property beautifully maintained by the family. The rooms are very spacious and well appointed. The family cooked us a delightful three course meal each night and provided a plentiful continental breakfast. The overall price for dinner bed and breakfast was very reasonable. They are a wine family and tastings...

Maria is an excellent cook and gracious hostess. We enjoyed the dinners. We dined here every night of our 3 night stay. We met French Canadians, Germans, and Israelis. For one couple, it was their fourth year staying here. Maria suggested taking the train from Pinhao to the end of the line, gorgeous and relaxing. When we return, we'll definitely stay here...

After a fabulous train journey from Porto, we arrived in the pretty town of Pinhao and took a taxi for the 10 minute ride up to Casa Cimeira. Welcomed by the delightful Maria, we were duly sat down and force fed Port for the next 45 minutes before we eventually got to what was, effectively, a suite. Bedroom, sitting room,...
