We stayed here for 2 nights in a 200 year old property beautifully maintained by the family. The rooms are very spacious and well appointed. The family cooked us a delightful three course meal each night and provided a plentiful continental breakfast. The overall price for dinner bed and breakfast was very reasonable. They are a wine family and tastings... More

Maria is an excellent cook and gracious hostess. We enjoyed the dinners. We dined here every night of our 3 night stay. We met French Canadians, Germans, and Israelis. For one couple, it was their fourth year staying here. Maria suggested taking the train from Pinhao to the end of the line, gorgeous and relaxing. When we return, we'll definitely stay here... More

After a fabulous train journey from Porto, we arrived in the pretty town of Pinhao and took a taxi for the 10 minute ride up to Casa Cimeira. Welcomed by the delightful Maria, we were duly sat down and force fed Port for the next 45 minutes before we eventually got to what was, effectively, a suite. Bedroom, sitting room,... More

The winding, twisting roads up the mountain leads to the beautiful winery. Everything was great...the room, the views, the food, the wine...everything. What a beautiful spot. The dinners were delicious and were the best value of our whole trip. Everyone sits together at dinner, giving you a chance to meet other guests from all over. We stayed two nights. We... More

We were 6 motorcyclists and I'd booked Casa Cimeira from Australia based on TripAdvisor reviews. After leaving the road by the Douro river near Pinhao up we climbed past Sandeman Quinta on the twisty, scenic road to what seemed like the top of a mountain. After negotiating a few steep and very narrow lanes we arrived at the car park... More

What a welcoming group - both the proprietors and the guests. We loved the narrow streets leading up to (and away from) this "estate" located near the top of the village, with a small, adjacent parking lot. We were greeted in the courtyard entrance, even though it was the mid-afternoon on a hot day and the family's kids (or grandkids)... More

We stayed for three nights in this lovely guest house in the Douro . The room we stayed in was rustic and characterful. The breakfast and evening meals were very good. Book this place if you enjoy excellent food, good wine and fine port .

The room was spacious and clean. We loved the medieval style of it. The garden and pool were lovely. There is a private parking lot next to the accommodation. We liked the option to have dinner with other guests and to taste a bit of the Portuguese home cooking cuisine (for 15 euros p.p). Also the breakfast (which was included... More

Right in the magnificent Douro Valley, near several centuries-old vineyards. A little difficult to find and at the very top of a hill. When we arrived for three nights, we were not asked for a reservation number or our passort. We were told they were waiting for us and whether we would like some porto, which we drank in an... More
