We stayed for just one night two weeks ago as a stop off point to get the ferry to Loutro. The staff were obviously tired after a long summer season because the man checking us in could barely manage a smile let alone make conversation. We were shown to a two bedroom unit on the top floor (lots of stairs)... More

We stayed at Livikon for 2 nights and Samaria 1 night (hotel next door, which is run by the same managers as Livikon). The rooms at Livikon seem a bit better than at Samaria, but also a bit more expensive (+ €5 so nothing to talk about). We had no booking in advance, but they managed to fit us in.... More

The main draw is the lovely view from every balcony. I loved going to sleep at night with the sound of the crashing waves, as the small town is very quiet at night. The hotel rooms have the bare essentials, and you need only go down to the restaurant (there's not really an official reception area) to ask for what... More

My Wife and I were staying in the hotel Samaria next door and we found out that the two Hotels are attached. So we thought we would give the Restaurant a try.The waiters Janis and Sotiris were so friendly and helpful and the local food very tasty. We had an enjoyable evening with enough to eat and the racki at... More

Great location on the one main road running along the small waterfront where most of the hotels, shops and tavernas are located. Room was very basic but served the purpose for a couple night stay. Wifi was included. Small balcony overlooks the main street and waterfront. Breakfast was included though initially they questioned whether it was until I produced my... More

This hotel was nothing special. A place to sleep one night during our backpacking trip. Our room was nothing like the picture which was a let down, but we did have a little balcony that was quite nice. The bed was hard and lumpy. Restaurant downstairs is a basic taverna with good breakfast.

We stayed for one night in this hotel. The room was comfortable and big, with its own balcony and fridge. Staff (Yannis and Andreas) was helpful and friendly. Reasonable price and good food in the restaurant. We loved the marvellous sea view. The shower was okay, but the floor (uneven stones) stayed a bit wet.

My husband and I went to Sfakia in August 2014 and stayed at the hotel for a couple of days. Although the hotel is above a taverna it was very quiet. The room was very nice and the balcony overlooking the little harbor was offering amazing views. Also the food at the taverna downstairs is excellent and the waiters are... More

We booked it for one night and did not know anything about Chora Sfakion. I found it on bookings for 50 euros /night for a triple room. All rooms have a view over the port and the restaurant area. It is a simple room with everything you need. No luxury what so ever but it is good. The triple room... More

We stayed here just one night on our way to hike the Samaria Gorge. The hotel is practically the first thing you see when walking into town, and it's right on the water. The staff was very friendly. The rooms were clean, with airy high ceilings and the one we had on the corner, facing the center of town, had... More
