Lovely little inn not far from AI at Kirkby stephen. Comfortable beds and nice little touches in room. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Good selection of evening meals with fresh homemade choices. Excellent breakfast included in price.

We arrived at 15.30 to find the place locked up. Another couple were sat in their car in the car park . On the windowsill in full sun was 2 boxes of food, one marked fish fillets! Eventually at 16.00 2 people arrived, and let us in. We were shown to our small room, which seemed well stocked on the tea...

Lovely friendly place to stay in Cumbria. Ideally situated for walking and exploring the local area. The rooms were nicely appointed with everything in them for a pleasant couple of days away. We ate in the pub both nights and the food was excellent. Thoroughly recommend eating there.

Our breakfast was good when it arrived. Amy was working on her own so we had to be patient. The 2nd day our table wasn't laid and we...

We really enjoyed our two night break. The bedroom was a little small but clean and well equipped. Staff were really friendly, nothing was to much trouble. The food was really good. Will try to return soon.

Wish we hadn't even thought about coming here, room was very small, it was clean however, bed was comfortable and bedding clean, pillows were too soft for us but that's our taste, bathroom was clean but again very small.

I have already submitted one review. The hotel was undergoing a change of management which sadly affected their usual top-class performance. The evening meal menu was not very attractive and very short on choice. Some of the beers and spirits ran out and were not replaced. A new customer complained that their bedroom was not properly cleaned and so-on and...
