Wow!! Me & girlfriend stayed here for 3 nights and was truly mesmerised by how beautiful this place is! Hidden in a beautiful remote location in the jungle this is a beautiful romantic little getaway and would be perfect for any couple looking for something a little secluded & intimate! We stayed in the eco sweet (top floor) and could not fault it at all! Staff were amazing and were always on standby and really could not do enough for us! Every staff member was always very polite and smiley and anything we needed was sorted instantly! Felt like we were treat like oyalty! All of them were amazing! The manager Iresh however is a credit to glenrock and deserves recognition for his work, was great organising trips (free of charge) very helpful with any queries and really made the trip special could not do enough to help! Even still been in contact now helping us with anything he can round Sri Lanka! Would highly recommend staying here and checking out the waterfalls undoubtedly would come again! 10/10…
It was truely a gorgeous resort!!! We both spend our honeymoon at "jungle suit" - Most beautiful room which we ever saw!!! The hotel staff from manager to the room service incredibly delivered us a super service!!! Mr. Iresh the hotel manager was very friendly with us and the room boy Mr. Thusith gave us an allround job. He was a room boy, a waiter and a safari jeep co-driver!!! And most susurprisingly the safari jeep driver Mr. Nilantha was our chef!!! He made us super delicious food and he took us in road to nonperial estate where cars couldnt even think of driving!!! He drived the safari jeep very carefully and showed us every beautiful places. So i invite all of you to spend minimum of two days at Glenrock belihuloya!!!! Because oneday is not enough to see the beauty... its a place you should visit once in your lifetime! We spent 2 nights there .The location is very good . It is situated near the upper stream of Belihuloya. This place is ideal for relaxing. We stayed at River Cabana, and it was very nice .You can get a bath from the river. There is a natural pool inside the hotel also. They served mouth watering food. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The service was excellent. Yes, that's true, "nature meets luxury."Highly recommended this place.
Celebrated our 2nd Anniversary in this amazing place surrounded by beautiful mountains, a lush green environment, and the musically flowing Belihuloya right beside. The hotel is constructed to blend with nature and all the interiors and exteriors are also give an eye-pleasing sight that will relax your mind all the time. There were natural water streams all over the hotel premises and that gave an extraordinary feeling to us during our stay. The staff was super friendly and welcomed us so generously. Thusith, who was there at the reception at the time we checked in was an amazing person with great hospitality skills. We ordered lunch wrapped with banana leaves on the checked-in day and that was one of the most delicious rice and curries we had. All the meals prepared by chef Nila (Nilantha) were so amazing that we enjoyed every bit of it during our stay. The hotel offered us a free tuk-tuk ride (half-opened) to a beautiful viewpoint via an amazing remote road. Chandana malli who took us on the tuk-tuk was also a very nice person and have good skills in handling the tuk on that tough road. In the night, Thusith had arranged candlelight (candles + nice flambeaus) dinner, which was set by the natural pool, and offered us a complimentary bottle of wine too. The night at the hotel premises was cold and a bit windy. Since there were so many stars, we went to the rooftop to see the stars and the rooftop was so cold with the winds from the mountains. Chandana malli was very kind and he brought the telescope up there to see the stars but the telescope didn't work out. The next day morning we woke up hearing the chirps of various birds and the sound of the Belihuloya stream. What a morning that was. We were offered an English breakfast and some delicious string hoppers too (Chef Nila's meals). As per Thusith & Nilantha, they prepare their bread and buns at the hotel itself and use some own grown vegetables too. The total hotel is managed by these few amazing persons and their commitment to the hotel is at a very high level. As being hoteliers ourselves, we appreciate their work and commitment to this hotel very much. After our breakfast, Thusith was kind enough to show us around and explained some interesting facts. Unfortunately, it was our checkout day and, we felt sorry about ourselves since we didn't book another day here. If you are visiting this place, at least book 2 nights to get the real experience of nature and the amazing hospitality. After our checkout process, we were escorted by Thusith and Nilantha by the hotel's jeep to the car park and the chef became the jeep driver for that ride. At the car park, we had a small chat with them before we leave and Thusith didn't forget to show his hospitality at that time also. He just plucked some soursop and guava from nearby trees and offered us. Finally, we left the place with loads of nice memories and with a promise that we will return. Thanks, Glenrock, thanks Thusith, chef Nila and Chandana malli for your great hospitality. As hoteliers, a small suggestion is to maintain a standard local rate for the locals.…
it was the first time that I went to Belihuloya with my family and two other families to gather and have fun. That's the first time when I heard of this place called The Glenrock and I didn't have any idea of the whereabouts of this place. By the time we reached the destination and I went OMG. Not only because of the structure of the hotel and the hotel rooms but the view from anywhere in the hotel. Even the hotel is glamorously super clean and neat. It was like living in heaven...Even the staff and workers of this hotel are super friendly with their customers. They work regardless of their tiresomeness. Even the food was extremely perfect at tasty like I've never eaten such food before. My most favorite part that I have to mention is about the swimming pool. It's not like any other swimming that I've ever seen because it is so pretty cool that it's a Natural Swimming Pool. The water that is used to fill this pool is collected from a natural waterfall up the hill. Room service, Hospitality, and every other service are at a high level. I don't have enough words to express my happiness and the joy that I had during my time there. I highly recommend choosing this hotel, 'The Glenrock' for your stay if you're touring in Belihuloya.…
