This was used on the last night of our holiday. it was convenient to the Gold Coast Airport which was used to depart from the area, It is a character-filled Queenslander but not all bedrooms have en-suites. The breakfast included in the cost is a bonus. The host was friendly and provided extremely useful information about where to have an evening meal. Well worth considering if you want something a little unusual.

Just 2 of us for afternoon tea and we both thought how amazing it was! I have just read a previous review that was awful and I can't believe we were at the same place. We were welcomed warmly by Liz, seated and immediately brought water. We then ordered our drinks and plenty of choices and some lovely varieties of tea. The first cake stand came out with the savoury food on in 3 layers. Bottom layer was mixed sandwiches. I do not eat any greens but it was easy to remove what I didn't want, as had not specified any dietary needs as it isn't an issue really. Sandwiches were freshly made and very tasty. The middle layer had wagyu burgers, arancini balls and another savoury, top layer was spinach & feta puffs, salmon savouries and one other choice. THEN came the sweet platter with scones, jam (homemade) and cream on the lower level and on the top was a panna cotta, chocolate mousse and several other choices. Each item provided one item per person. The photos are incomplete as we had already started on the savouries, there are 3 items missing on the top level and 3 from the middle. Tea is also replenished inclusive in the price. All the items were freshly and deliciously made, I could see no evidence of store bought or frozen as previously quoted. The whole thing was an absolute pleasure to experience and I will be returning and introducing it to other friends. I have been to several other afternoon places in the area but this tops them all! We were asked several times if everything was OK and was there anything we needed. Richard is a Chef which is obvious by the delicious food. Well ;done!

We last stayed here 7 years ago, and are delighted to find that Liz and Rich are still providing one of the best B&B experiences in Queensland at a reasonable price. Rich’s breakfasts are delicious, with a different cooked course each day, along with a selection of cereals, yogurt, fruit, etc. The heritage Queenslander accommodation is clean, with comfy bed, air conditioning and a good sized en-suite. We had direct access onto the balcony, with easy chairs to enjoy the view, and the option to eat a takeaway meal at the outside table there. Liz and Rich went out of their way to make us feel welcome, and we were sorry to leave. Would thoroughly recommend it!

A new discovery for me… the Village B & B is a great place to go whether you just want a coffee, lunch or spoil yourself with high tea! The food was delicious… the atmosphere was wonderfully quirky and the owners couldn’t do enough for us. It’s my new go to place.

Liz & Richard went above and beyond for our stay here. They were very accommodating and understanding when we requested to arrive earlier because we had a wedding to attend. There was a high tea on when we arrived so we parked off site as the carpark was busy - where they gladly moved our car back whilst we were away so it was back on site again - we have never had accommodation hosts do that before so it was a beautiful gesture which we are grateful for. We stayed in the starkey room which was clean and well presented. A breakfast is provided where you can have fruits, cereals, poached eggs with bacon on toast (the poached eggs were perfect!) And they also provide tea/coffee and juice.
It really was a beautiful stay and Liz & Richard showed genuine interest and care in us as guests. Thankyou so much! Will definitely be back again!

I just can't recommend The Village B&B enough. From the moment you arrive Richard and Liz make you feel so so welcome. The colonial style building is beautiful and this also goes for the rooms. Beautiful wood floors with lovely rugs, tea and coffee making facilties. The beds are so comfortable. The breakfast is also lovely, cereals tea coffee orange juice fruit, Oh and not forgetting the fried breakfast. I said it before and I'll say it again I can't recommend the Village B&B Mudgeeraba enough. Take my word for it, you'll want to come back. We are.

This was my second visit to the Village BNB and this time I booked a room for Valentine’s Day and my
Partner’s birthday.
He really loved it and the charm it hosts. Great food , friendly and hospitable hosts,
Huge range of very fancy teas. Entering the room was like stepping back in time , the styling was beautiful modern with many of the original fixtures.
Warm dark wood Oozed from floor to walls. Stained glass doors open out onto a wide Veranda where you can sit in Comfort and lounge around surrounded by lush tropical garden feel.
Gorgeous antique cupboard to hang your clothes plenty of space they have thought of every detail with toiletries in the modern bathroom.
In the room there is a small TV a bar fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. The bed Was colonial style and extremely comfortable and everything was immaculately clean.
They have a beautiful pool area but because it was raining I never got the chance to sit there or swim but it looks gorgeous.
The Food was Great but it’s the hosts who make this lovely BNB a must visit even if it’s for a high tea, a lunch or a special occasion booking. I will definitely be back and highly recommend it!

The property is a beautiful old Queenslander although closer to the road than I had expected from the pictures. Parking is not guaranteed and even street parking can be difficult on a Saturday night with the nearby restaurants. While the room was lovely and the hosts very welcoming, I really did not feel comfortable due to the high teas and guests dining outside the room. I felt that I needed to have the curtains drawn and could not enjoy the beautiful verandas as I would be in the way. The set up also started around 9.00 a.m. with the radio blaring and lots of clattering, making it difficult to hear on the phone. I do think the focus should be on either the accommodation or on the high teas / meals but not both, as it took away from would could have been a very lovely, relaxing stay.

Well it was ok. The people there were lovely and very welcoming. I think we were a little disappointed with the sweet selection. The first lot, savoury was really good and so nice but the second lot which was the sweets, we thought could have been much better. I don't believe that when you are paying that much you should get slices and some sort of cheesecake slice. I am glad we went but I wouldn't go back.
