Such a tranquil experience at Yarralen Retreat! Nothing was too much trouble for Julie and Cliff. The property, animals and rooms are well looked after. The Magnesium Pool, Billabong Walk, Peacocks and the amazing glass features were favourites. We even got to utilise their new deck with stunning views for some Restorative Yoga! We will definitely be back! Thank you Julie, Cliff and Nicole for sharing with us your beautiful space ❤

Thoroughly relaxing. The pool was a lovely 29 dog's and our little studio apartment had everything we needed. Julie and Cliff were lovely hosts showing their hospitality all weekend. Loved the antiques, artwork and eclectic style. Can't wait to get another long weekend so we can revisit

We stayed for 3 nights which were relaxing and comfortable, and thoroughly enjoyed by our dog. The cooked breakfast provided by Julie one morning in the warm sunshine on the verandah was a highlight. The other 2 mornings we had breakfast provisions, including a very full plate of fresh fruit. Nearby Stuarts Point has places for evening meals.

We booked weeks in advance as I had my parents in law visiting Australia for the first time. When I arrived I called Julie and she didn’t even know what day it was. Very quickly it became clear she had double booked one of the rooms we booked. Instead of being apologetic about it she tried to blame us (we had the printed paperwork from booking.com with us). She then became very aggressive yelling about Silicon Valley and told us to f$@k off. Glad we didn’t give her our money as the space looked nothing like advertised. Actually flagergasted by her behaviour.

Do not be deceived by the pictures & description, this property is a mess inside & out.
We booked & paid upfront for 5 nights, cut our losses after 2 nights.
We have left a more thorough review on Booking.com if you are interested,

I stayed at the Yarralen retreat on an overnight stop whilst travelling back to Sydney from a weeks trip to Queensland. My stay was not planned but came as the result of being held up due to traffic delays caused by a serious accident in the region.

Situated conveniently close to the pacific highway the retreat was a lovely and welcome surprise following a tiring days travel. The hosts were friendly and accommodating and quickly showed me to my room which was beautifully decorated and well equipped with a small stocked kitchenette, en suite bathroom, colour TV and very comfortable double bed.

The location of the property is extremely quiet and and having arrived after dark I had an extremely peaceful nights sleep.

The morning revealed to me the wonderful setting this property is situated in. A small tranquil piece of rainforest on a gentle slope leading to a picturesque billabong. I was made a lovely breakfast of eggs on toast, laid by resident hens on the property.

I would thoroughly recommend this property for anyone either staying in the region or looking for a stay over whilst passing through. The property is well situated for South West Rocks and is even dog friendly for those taking their pooch with them.

I will definitely stay here again when visiting the region. Attached a couple of photos of the area around the house.

I stayed here for one night with my wife and two kids (3&5). The bed was very comfortable, such a great sleep after our long drive.

We grabbed some food for Coles at Port Macquarie and cooked in the cabin. Facilities were great, oven, microwave etc.

The host, Julie was very hospitable, she'd cooked us a beautiful breakfast with fresh eggs from her own chickens, home made tomato chutney and delicious bacon.

The kids loved the bushwalking and looking at the chickens.

Would be a great spot to come again in summer

Thank you so much Julie!

Situated about 4 kms off Pacific Hwy & about 4 kms from Stuarts Point is this quiet retreat. The motel style room was fully equipped for a self sufficient stay. The room had a queen sized bed, aircon and a fan, frig, and all kitchen equipment with a good size dining table. Breakfast supplies were provided, including farm fresh eggs etc.,plenty. The ensuite is spacious and clean, as was the room. A magnesium mineral pool is available and refreshing. The host, Julie, made us comfortable and ensured we had everything, with no fuss. Highly recommended for a great peaceful stay.

DISGRACEFUL. Photos in ads are VERY old... Plant growth can't lie. UNISEX amenities block with only curtains on the showers, 2 toilets (door didn't close let alone lock on one cubicle the other toilet had a shower curtain for a door. I found the owner, Julie, a pain in the rear, nosy and gossips about everything and everyone, I didn't need that. When I complained about SOME things I was blocked and refused contact. Totally unprofessional.
