My partner had booked the "Romance Package" which included the dinner, night stay and breakfast. It advertised a room with a fireplace ( which didn't end up working). The dinner was great and we were the only ones to stay that night. There were no staff on the premises over night so if you have issues you are on your...

The staff is extremely accommodating and the menu is fantastic. From the whipped maple butter with the breads to the coffee and desserts, everything is delicious. The owners are rightfully proud and were kind enough to give us a tour after our supper. Friends who have stayed found the location clean and comfortable with a beautiful view. The property is...

My wife and I stayed in the MacPherson suite on November 2. We were the only guests at the inn and dined alone. That affected our experience of this inn. We dealt with, in turn, the chef, the manager and one of the owners. All three were gracious and hospitable. The TripAdvisor photos accurately reflect the decor of this establishment....

It is our third stay at the Birches. Our hosts could not be more accommodating and always delightful to chat with. The meal was spectacular once again. We always combine our stay with the golf which is right next door. The course is beautiful and challenging with amazing vistas. Will definitely return again next year!!

What a pleasant surprise when we arrived at The Birches. We stayed in the Morrison room with a king bed complete with an electric fireplace. Lots of space, clean and fresh with a balcony to enjoy the scenery. The restaurant was absolutely amazing. Stunning professional plating of each and every course right down to the sorbet to cleanse the palette....

Bed comforter and decorator pillows need updating to something that can be laundered between guests. Above average dinner. Ok breakfast. Generous parking. Poor room lighting so could not read at night. Easy access to golf course for lunch or cocktails.

Had the opportunity to stay at The Birches (MacLennan Room) for 2 nights during a family friends wedding. We were very late checking in due to the drive, but the innkeeper (Barb) stayed for our arrival, and made the check-in process seamless and comfortable. All staff, from Barb down, were most pleasant and accommodating and the facilities themselves were very...

Beautiful Inn overlooking the bay. Rooms tastefully done and excellent service. Lovely restaurant as well. Peaceful surroundings and right next to both lovely golf course and ski lodge. Works well for any season with recreational options in the area

The Birches was a great place to stay. We stayed for one night in July, we were welcomed by the owner who took us around and showed us the place. We were late for dinner ( restaurant closes at 8:00pm) but everyone was talking about how delicious it was!! Our room overlooked the Bra D'ors lake and was beautiful but...

I am probably just repeating what so many others have said, but this is a beautiful inn with beautifully appointed rooms. We were in the MacAuly Room right next to the lobby. The downside to this room was it was next to the lobby and the door going outside from the lobby, so there was a bit of extra noise....
