We stayed from December 10 to 22, 2023, room 5302, in this establishment located in the Khao Lak area, an area which extends over 35km, more precisely in the village of Bang Niang. The hotel is very well located, quiet, but still having all the shops, restaurants, bars, mini-markets, etc. right outside. The premises are very clean, a very beautiful garden, a large swimming pool and the beach are part of this human-sized complex, with 2-story buildings and villas. Our room, 42 m2, located on the second level, with jacuzzi bath, balcony, and view of the garden and the sea, was very comfortable and functional. The cleaning was done perfectly during the day and someone came by again in the evening, around 6 p.m., to leave a little attention, cakes or sweets, and to check that we were missing nothing. Two restaurants, one for breakfast, and a restaurant bar adjoining the beach, for meals throughout the day. We cannot give an opinion on the catering because we took our meals outside in the village, everything being within walking distance. On the other hand, the breakfasts were very good, complete, lots of choice, continental and Thai, fresh fruit juice, nothing to say, perfect. The staff is friendly. We also enjoyed the massages provided at the SPA. A taxi rank is located 100m from the hotel and offers trips to the surrounding area with prices displayed. For more distant excursions, I recommend “Excursions Thailand”, an agency run in the center of the village by a Frenchman who offers excursions in French and in small groups. We did the Similan and Surin islands with him and it was very good, however you have to get up early to have peace of mind at the snorkeling sites. In the region, 10km from the hotel, is one of the most beautiful temples in Thailand, a must-see. Otherwise, if you don't dine at the hotel, just at the exit, there is the “Give me Five” restaurant, if the smile is not there, the dishes are excellent, and it is not expensive, and further towards the center of the village, “Le Mali”, a permanent smile accompanying very good dishes and “Siam”, right next door. We had a great stay in this very beautiful hotel in a very good location.

The beds are very comfortable, also the pillows are very pleasant. The room has a nice size and is furnished with everything necessary. There are 2 glass bottles of drinking water - also for brushing teeth - in the room and 2 plastic bottles of drinking water for the beach every day.

Although we stayed at the more expensive hotel across the street called “La Flora” we found this hotel to offer better rooms for way cheaper, and just overall better service. (also no screaming children with weird accents surrounding us all day). I wouldn’t recommend La flora is you have any appreciation of your sense of hearing or sanity. As a bartender myself back in California I can assure you that these bartenders at the Ramada are the best I’ve seen in Thailand, Malaysia, or Vietnam so far. So yeah in conclusion , the Ramada and its staff are amazing, you should stay at Ramada if you’re in Khao Lak!

Had a 3 week trip to Thailand and Vietnam with my partner. The final leg of the trip was 8 nights at the Ramada in Khao Lak. This package was bought through luxuary Escapes who I've used a number of times successfully. The Ramada hotel is not one I would recommend. We've stayed at Kalima and the Marriott at Khao Lak and would recommend either place 10 times over.
Pros - limited. Room cleaning staff were amazing. 2 x staff, Noor and Nun were professional, warming and genuine nice people and we loved dealing with them.
Cons - The rudest, least hospitable person who goes by the name Boom Boom. She is obviously in a job she hates and hospitality isn't her thing.
The hotel we stayed in Vietnam in hoi an was $45 a night including breakfast and it was an older building but well kept. My point, they didn't have the luxury pool and restaurant overlooking the ocean but what they had in bucket loads was friendly, efficient staff.
Our view on the Ramada was that bad that we will never visit Khao Lak again.

We stayed at the Ramada for the first time, also because of the good reviews. Unfortunately, considering the price-performance ratio, I absolutely cannot understand this. We had our room right next to the reception, and it was sometimes very noisy, especially in the morning. The room itself is quite large, but it urgently needs to be renovated, especially the bathroom. The towels were very stained and some of the bed linen was full of holes and the curtains were dirty. The cleanliness was just adequate upon arrival, but improved during the stay. The breakfast was okay but the same every day and otherwise fine. Unfortunately, the area is also quite small and so you have a maximum cafeteria feeling. Unfortunately, you can't find peace anywhere, the loungers are already occupied before breakfast and the pool is full of children. My experience at the spa was particularly bad: there was no Ayurvedic head massage, the oil was far too hot and burned my scalp, and my hair was pulled several times with a comb. After a complaint I was offered a 20% discount which I did not accept. I didn't have to pay for the massage. Maybe you should only offer massages here that the staff can do 😉. And then we come to the point why I gave it 3 points in the first place: the staff is one of the friendliest we have experienced in Thailand. Without that, my rating would have been worse, because the price-performance ratio doesn't fit here at all!

We came to the Ramada more by chance, as our favorite hotel was fully booked. It was a lucky coincidence! Beautiful, large room, luxurious bathroom, and an extremely good breakfast with lots of Asian food. Pleasant GM, Peter from Switzerland, seems to be doing a good job, thank you Peter, you run a great hotel! The location is also OK, just a few meters from the door you have everything that vacationers need if they don't want to do everything in the hotel. The beach is a seamless extension of the garden, and you can also walk a long way to the south. We really had 4 wonderful days, and we can only recommend the hotel. A word about the guests: more pensioners than middle aggressors, more German than international. If you want to see young and beautiful people, you probably won't find them here. The majority of guests are over 60.

After all the pain and disruption caused by Covid19 it was great to once again stay at Ramada Khao Lak. We found it to still be the superb hotel we remember it being. A few little changes made it it better than we remember. Transferring breakfast to Sassi's Beach Restaurant is a great move. It is so nice to sit in comfortable surroundings with a great view of the beach and sea. It was also nice to find Nont as reservations manager. We remember him from La Flora next door and found him to once again be a very helpful and caring person. Our trip started with the mandatory isolation whilst our PCR test result was determined. This gave us time to unpack and sleep after our long journey and 5 and a half hours later we were released after our negative results came through. We were in a room with 2 Queen sized beds which were quite comfortable and found the room quite big enough with quite adequate storage space. The room had a separate shower and bath and it was very roomy. Coffee making equipment, mini fridge, hairdryer and large flat screen TV also complimented the room. Owing to Covid19 you had the option to determine how often you wanted your room cleaned and the bedding and towels changed. Our cleaner was excellent and we often saw her and was able to communicate our needs to her. Indeed all staff were fantastic and we had warm relations with all reception, restaurant and bar staff who very quickly new your likes and needs. Breakfast was great with a huge selection on offer. We only ate dinner once in the Sassi's restaurant but it was lovely and very reasonably priced. Happy hour at Sassi's was daily from 4pm - 5:30pm were a selection of cocktails were 2 for 1. We loved the Ramada, which has a great position on Bangniang Beach, close to all shops and restaurants. We found it to be an extremely peaceful hotel and would go back in a heartbeat.

We have just returned from 14 nights at the Ramada Resort in Khao Lak. This was our fifth stay in Khao Lak and we have loved all of our destinations. But we think Ramada Resort has been the best, and the reasons are set out below.
First, the staff were fantastic. Very friendly and very welcoming, and in a genuine way. From the gardeners, the cleaning staff, the restaurant staff, management and reception staff, they were so good and welcoming, always greeting you and seeing if you needed any assistance.
I am always a bit hesitant to name staff because there are so many of them that I didn’t get to know, or where I can’t remember their names, but Katie, Sarj and Muay were so helpful throughout our stay, as were the lovely ladies in reception.
The food was of an excellent standard. At breakfast there was everything that you could want including a great range of fresh fruit including mango, passion fruit, melons, water melons, papaya, bananas, oranges, dragon fruit and others. The egg station is amazing and they will cook your eggs however you want them. Plus plenty of drinks to choose from, as well as pastries and all the hot dishes.
The main restaurant for dinner was also fantastic, and we were staying on a full board arrangement. On four nights of the week we had a choice from the menu and on three nights of the week they had buffets (Thai, Italian, BBQ). I loved the fact that at the buffets they has fresh cooking stations where you could choose what you wanted and they would cook it for you.
We thought the food quality was excellent and very tasty, and authentic.
The rooms were great as were the facilities including pool, gymnasium, beach etc etc.
In conclusion, thank you very much to all of the staff at Ramada Resort, we had a fabulous time and have already booked to return in 2025.
Guy

We booked our holiday 6 months ago through love holidays. They packaged our flight transfers and hotel together, and so far its been faultless. We booked an all-inclusive package due to it being our 1st time in Thailand and unsure of our surroundings. Have not read any other reviews containing detail if an all-inclusive package so was unsure prior to our stay if we would get the type if inclusive package we have received in the Caribbean or Europe in the past. Also, while being here, we have not met anyone booked inclusive . We had no need to worry as our package does include breakfast, lunch, evening meal, and drinks from 11am to 11pm from the pool bar and resterant bar. We get given a separate drinks and food menu to choose from, but there is still a wide choice of Western or Thai food, and is all Al a cart served in the restaurant. The same goes for the drinks, but still a big choice. there is no snack bar to use between meals, but the restaurant seems to serve food between 12pm and 10pm wherever you want it. I have fount the food fantastic and have tried lots of different dishes. to summarise the hotel, I would say it's got a nice mix of Brits, European and Australian guests, many with families. Sits right on the beach, in an excellent location to walk to shops , bars, and the night market, also a taxi tank just opposite the hotel exit. every single staff member is very helpful and polite. Pool and swim in bar great, no problem getting sunbeds by time at the pool or beach. rooms very large, clean , modern with good aircon( needed as well ! ) all facilities needed. Resort would be great for 1st time in Thailand like ourselves as it feels rustic and authentic , friendly and safe, day and night. Loads of bars, resterants, places to book trips, only thing that caught us our was that places offering trips mainly only like cash. Truly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel and resort to anyone thinking if trying Thailand for a 1st time

We loved this resort. The service was amazing and we found the food offering was perfect. The best breakfast buffet. We ate like Kings for 8 days. We had bought via the Luxury escapes VIP deal. Well worth it. The pool was wonderful and relaxing. Could use a few more pool toys for the kids since there is no slides etc... We always could find sun lounges. We had no issues with the staff, nothing was to much trouble and they made sure my boys were looked after. Special shout out to Hua, Byte and Non. Also Ann in spa was amazing. Our rooms were large and clean. We always had our bottled water topped up and room service was prompt. I loved the turn down service and the pillow choice was good. As others have said there was rubbish on the beach in the afternoon if there were big waves but the staff cleaned the beach every morning. This is pretty typical for this time of year up and down the coast of Khao lak. The location of the resort was great. 1 min walk to shops and restaurants. Markets are a 5 min walk.
