Detailed Reviews
This hotel is stunning, relaxed and the setting is perfect.
We stayed here for a week, you cannot be treated any better anywhere else. From the time we arrived we felt as if we were part of a family. The staff are superb, attentive and aware of your needs. They work so well as a team and compliment each other.
Our room was a garden residence, very modern, in some ways a simple design but at the same time luxurious and open plan. Little details such as providing natural mozzie repellent, natural room spray make this very special.
Breakfast is available all day from 6 till 6 so you can go off and explore take a trip or relax until you are ready to eat and just turn up, no pressure to eat early. It is full a la carte dining with a good range of food, but not many local dishes are served at breakfast.
We did not eat in the hotel in the evenings except for Valentines night, a meal on the beach. This was wonderful, a bit pricey, but the food and setting made it a very special night (and we have been married for 37 years!).
We did try to book a snorkeling trip but were thwarted as they need minimum numbers and on one day the boat was out of commission. This was disappointing and there was a missed opportunity for the hotel to look at other days of the week to go.
We did borrow bikes and ride to the local waterfall which was fun and also did half day ride with Ake to the local island. This was a lovely trip, although rather hot. We ended up on a totally deserted beach. Thailand at its best.
This really is a wonderful place to stay.

From the moment you arrive at The Sarojin to the sad day you leave you are encased in Thai heaven. I cannot emphasis how wonderful this hotel is from all the staff who look after your every need through the top of the hotel staff, the manager Kade who runs an excellent hotel. The rooms are spotless and are cleaned twice daily. The garden staff are constantly brushing leaves up weeding, pruning etc. which in turn leads to immaculate widespread grounds. The beach is never overcrowded and no matter what time of day you can walk straight to a sunbed and likewise at the pool area The all Day breakfast is a bonus and I would like to give a special mention to Aoy for suppling “holiday juice” daily ( sparkling wine) and O who looked after us every day at breakfast. We ate four times at the Thai restaurant at the beach during our 10 night stay and I have to say although it isn’t cheap it is the best Thai food you that we have eaten in Thailand And we have visited many times. Whilst here we did have a small problem with our room however it was dealt with swiftly and efficiently and the manager personally came to see us the next day to offer his sincere apologies it was handled correctly and professionally. We are already planning our next trip back to this wonderful hotel and I would just like to thank everyone who looked after us a wonderful memorable time thank you. See you soon

This is one of the finest hotels we have ever stayed in 40 years of world travel. We’ve stayed in suites at the Umaid Bhawan Palace, Rambagh Palace and the Oberoi Amarvilas all spectacularly luxurious and expensive, I mention this not to boast but simply to add credibility to my review. There are garden rooms which are lovely, garden rooms with a private pool, we are staying in a j-pool residence (707) which is not unlike an apartment, it’s palatial with a separate living room, two showers, indoor and outdoor, big flat screen tv’s, your own private entrance and terrace. We sunbathe on the terrace taking dips in the jacuzzi to cool off. The beach is often busy, the sand soft, the sea warm and the sunsets spectacular. Breakfast are served most of the day, we often had a late one served with Buck’s Fizz. Wherever you decide to dine the food is outstanding. The gardens are extraordinarily special, as gardeners my wife and I appreciate it greatly. There’s over 200 attentive staff to take care of all of your needs. We can highly recommend this wonderful world class hotel.

We got married in the Sarojin in Feb 2020 and had the most magical wedding day. It truly exceeded our expectations so thank you so much.
The sarojin is the most beautiful place we have ever stayed.
The Sarojin have a wonderful team who continually went above and beyond to provide a world class service. I had been emailing Naa on/off for 2 years regarding our wedding and she has been amazing. All my questions and concerns were always answered. I even sent Naa some picture of decorations we wanted to bring and she set them all up beautifully with lights and flowers. The food was outstanding and again Naa had organised a veg section for one of my vegetarian friends.
Kade greeted us everyday and always made sure all our needs were catered for. I saw him do this with all guests which is lovely to see Luna and Nee were with us on the morning of the wedding and made sure we knew what we had to do and where we had to go. Matt and Tu always greeted us with a smile at the pool and my glass was continually refilled with water.
I wish I could mention everyone as I've never met a nicer group of staff.
Our guests kept telling us how our wedding was like a fairytale or something from a movie. The setup of the ceromony and the meal was so beautiful! It was a dream come true for myself and my husband.
We stayed in the jacuzzi suite for 7 nights during our stay and it was huge and had every facility you needed. The bed was so comfy, jacuzzi had different light and heat settings and the bath is big enough for 2.
We also tried the spa and it was honestly the best massage we have ever had. The spa was really beautiful and relaxing.
Breakfast was amazing! Couldn't have any more choices on the menu and you can order as much as you want a la carte with champagne!
We have total Sarojin and wedding blues and hope to return to this world class hotel sometime in the future.

Always wanted to visit Khao Lak. It is at least a 1.5 hours drive from Phuket airport. The trip started with a bit of a miscommunication issue, since our family of 4 arrived separately into Phuket (within 20 minutes of one another), 2 of us at the domestic terminal and the other 2 into the International terminal. The driver seemed to have a bit of trouble with that. Eventually, it was all resolved but it did cause a bit of anxiety and delay to start the trip.
The property is gorgeous. It does not offer a huge waterfront but the sand is lovely and there are no seaweeds. At the time we went, the water temperature was great. This was not a place which offers many activities, which was exactly what I wanted. A quiet beach front where I can enjoy the water and waves lapping up the beach. The water was calm and clean. Our family of 4 got a 2 bedroom pool villa, which were 2 adjoining rooms. One room had a pool. The other did not. The room was big but be careful because essentially the shower area had no door and if you do not like that kind of design, these rooms are not for you. The staff were extremely courteous and friendly. They put up a really beautiful Xmas eve dinner. Prices on the property are not cheap. If you feel like a cheaper meal, there are 2 more options along the beach ( right next to the property) or if you like, you can take the shuttle into town ( for a small fee). The excursions, on the other hand, maybe more limited than I would like. The Lady Sarojin, which is the property's own boat, is available, but you should check prices and availability carefully. One good point I must mention is that breakfast was included in the room and unlike other properties, there is no time limit to breakfast. That is great because if one is suffering from jetlag and would like to enjoy breakfast later, that is entirely possible because it is being offered all day. That is a really good idea. A very enjoyable stay for me.

This is a luxury hotel so prices are much higher than norm. Service was very good. Property was very clean, spacious and comfortable. This hotel is very environmentally friendly by not giving us plastic bottle drinks but water in glass bottles. Beach nearby is quite quiet and very clean. Food was very good. There are vegan options too.
Just some points for improvement:
1. Staff at the restaurants have to improve their English. Many of them seem to have difficulty understand when we want to make some changes to the food ordered.
2. I tried cappuccino. Coffee was terrible.
3. Height of the bicycles was too high. We are petite and don’t have the choice of riding the bicycles.
4. We tried to get the adventure package at special offer twice. Once in Dec when we stayed and later we try to book in June in 2020. We were told that the special offer was not valid for these period but not stated in the website. Please update your website when is the special offer valid.
5. The water in the small streams was quite stagnant and seems to be good breeding ground for mosquitoes which is quite a bit of worry for us. Try to get the water flowing.
Overall is good experience and we will like to come again.

Despite arriving at 3am, we received a warm welcome that signalled how the rest of our stay would go. The staff are wonderfully attentive, the grounds and our room were truly beautiful. The fact that an all you can eat breakfast is served until 6:30pm is great too if you want to sleep in or just eat later (plus, a huge range of dishes). The food is fantastic too - I would fully recommend the Taste or Thailand menu for dinner down on the beach. The small touches like complimentary mosquito sprays dotted around the resort as well as the rooms are thoughtful and service was seamless. Plenty of other guests were visiting again and not hard to see why - we would love to come back for another relaxing break!
If you have the chance, make sure to take the live like a local tour too - it’s a great way to visit local spots such as the waterfall and temples as well as the school that the hotel supports.

An amazing relaxing adventure that I enjoyed from start to finish, the Sarojin surpassed my expectations in every way and was an absolutely amazing experience.
Our pool room was private, secluded and spacious - the perfect place to stretch out and enjoy a quiet day. Room service was fantastic also, and our room was absolutely spotless with a large bathroom and huge shower area.
For those days when you do feel like venturing further, the relaxing pool, clean and efficient gym, and beautiful beach are close to hand, but my favourite experience had to be the day we spent snorkelling from the hotel’s own boat, the Lady Sarojin. Nearby areas of interest are also easily accessible via the hotel’s bikes or by taking a car or shuttle bus to the night market, etc.
The hotel’s bars and restaurants are also great and adapt to your needs, whether sitting by the pool, by the beach in Edge, or dining in Ficus, staff, service and food were exceptional, all helped by the indulgence of having breakfast when you feel like it during the day!
What really made the Sarojin for me was the staff - service was amazing and staff seemed to anticipate any service needs. All in all, this has to be one of the most relaxing and enjoyable stays I’ve had - I will absolutely be back!

My husband and I came to the Sarojin for five days, had a great time. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to help. The grounds are immaculately kept, the room was amazing and we had to force ourselves to leave its comfort. There are several trips on offer that the hotel will run, including private transportation and a guide. We went to Phang Nga Bay (location of James Bond Island) for a half day tour; it was just the two of us with the driver and guide, giving us the most amount of attention and service possible.
I would recommend the Sarojin for anyone who wants a relaxing retreat while they're in Thailand. The location is remote so other than the hotel-led experiences, it's best just to enjoy being at the pool or the spa or the beach or the restaurants rather than try and do a lot of sightseeing. I didn't feel a need to go out and do much since it was so nice and relaxing just being on the hotel grounds.

We traveled without children with friends of us and had booked accommodation inclusive breakfast in a room with a private pool for two weeks.
We've been to some amazing places in the world, but this vacation at The Sarojin, Khao Lak, Thailand was outstanding.
A hotel complex nestled in a pond landscape with the villas arranged on the right and left in such a way that they are almost invisible made a great impression upon arrival. Everything was very clean, very well maintained, Asian unobtrusive.
The breakfast, but also the menus and drinks in the two hotel restaurants are a delight. On certain occasions, a kind of open-air buffet was also offered, which always exuded a special atmosphere.
The room with a private pool and a fixed sunshade is excellent and fully equipped. Otherwise, everything your heart desires is there. Room service is of a high standard.
The beach section is equipped with enough loungers, which are set up by employees and covered. There is water and even watermelon in the afternoon, and the loungers are straightened, and the towels are replaced. Fresh water showers are available after swimming in the sea, and there is even a separate area for smokers.
We booked the boat trip offered by the hotel and a Thai cooking class. Both were excellently organized and the employees (Au and his crew on the boat or Get as chef and teacher) were, like all employees, starting at the reception, the restaurants or elsewhere, always very attentive, and friendly. The manager, who was always present and was available as a contact person, if necessary, watches over everything.
All in all, a wonderful holiday that we will always remember. We felt very comfortable and like welcome in a family. An unreserved recommendation…

Yes, this place is fabulous. I've been there second time already. I will be there next year again.
The Sarojin has its own beach, and its own beach bar and a wonderful Thai restaurant right there on site. We were only there for 4-5 days, so we never ventured any further to test availability of other restaurants not on the Sarojin campus within walking distance. I didn't get the impression that there were other restaurants very nearby - but this wasn't a problem for us, the Thai restaurant on site was truly brilliant and had a huge menu with plenty of choice.
Pools are not very deep but you can swim and lounge in them. We stayed in pool residence last year and opted for a garden residence this January. The main swimming pool is perfect plus not busy and the beach is lovely so happy not having our own pool.
