This was our 3rd trip; first was camping some years ago under mangroves near the half-completed lodge - no chalets or bandas back then. This year it was a 50th wedding anniversary and no place I can think of could compare to the friendship and...More

We had THE MOST AMAZING family Christmas holiday at Lake Shore Lodge. Lou and Chris are the most phenomenal hosts and their lodge is 5 star! Lake Shore is the place to go if you want to be close to nature and recharge your batteries!...More
Lovely shaded campsite with clean hot and cold showers. Basins, mirrors and well looked after bathrooms. Ample space to camp and a great table and benches. Dinner on the beach so romantic! Delicious food and the lodge was stunning. Thank you Louise and Chris for...More

Dear Casey and Martin
Greetings from Kipili! We would love to have you here in November. The Liemba leaves Kigoma every other Wednesday and arrives here, normally, around midnight on the Thursday. We can arrange to come and collect you in our speedboat from where she stops in Kipili bay ($15 per person). She then heads down to Zambia and usually comes back through Kipili on the Saturday around mid-day. Her timings however, cannot be cast in stone and sometimes they do vary quite alot, but in general this is the process. This means that you could spend the Thursday and Friday nights here.
We have two room typres, the more budget room (the Lawn Bandas) are $100 per person per night full board - i.e. with all meals and the luxury rooms (our Beach Chalets) are $175 per person per night. On the Thursday night it would be bed and breakfast only and the bed and breakfast price is $55 per person in the Lawn Bandas or $130 per person in the Beach Chalets. If you have an email address I can send you more info as an attachment.
Please don't hesitate to contact us if there is anything else that we can help you with.
