Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stopped in on our way to Chinchilla and was pleasantly surprised. The pub has great character and the new owners were friendly and welcoming. We had the pizza for lunch which was delish! Definitely a gem of a pub

Kaimkillenbun has the longest name of a town and sits just outside of Dalby. Therefore, it needs a great little pub. Hence the Bun Hotel. New owners have stepped in and are creating a great place to have a beer and grab a great feed as well. Book in for a dinner, you won't be disappointed. I had the Prawn and Chorizo Linguine. My wife ordered the deep fried Camembert. Entree we had the wagyu spring rolls. Just delicious!

Hubby and I loved this place - unpretentious pub in small out-of-the-way settlement (Kaimkillenbun), 18km from Bell, in the Western Downs region of Queensland. This is *cattle* country so we had to order *steak*!! They were out of rub fillet so it had to be the T-bone. It was soooo tender - the best I've ever had! Very large portions and fast, friendly service!

The steak was that good I went back the following night for the same Rib fillet. Best home made Pepper sauce, thick and heaps of it with chips and salad. $22 absolute bargain I’ll be back The staff are very friendly and it’s a typical country pub. I’m looking to run photography courses in the area and I’ll be eating here a bit for sure

Bud and Jude are great hosts. Friendly, down to earth country folk. Bud loves nothing more than having a chat about trucks, truck driving, cars, restoring cars, driving cars, racing cars and football! The bar and dining room walls are full of great photos of Buds time as a truck driver, racing cars, trucks and other memorabilia. Their very friendly dog Barley, sits in the old ute out the front and is happy to greet all who call in! Eric the cat wanders around keeping a watching eye on proceedings. The Bun Pub is a great place to call in on the way to the Bunya Mountains.

Looking for a relaxed casual place to have a nice meal and few cold drinks ? Stop looking and go to bud's pub at the bun. Great homemade pub meals and nice cold beer. Very friendly owners and staff that are never too busy to say g'day and make you feel welcome. Nothing fancy or jazzed up just a normal ol school country pub. Sometimes the simple things are often the best.

We left the next morning with a bad taste in our mouths. And not because of the food, the meals were great, not surprising to see the cook has since left. Five of us were dragged out of our rooms after midnight by the intoxicated publican and his wife and accused of theft. The police were called, and after being interviewed the stolen money allegedly turned up. We were left without apology, no refund for our accommodation. Needless to say we will not be returning, and I highly recommend giving the establishment a wide berth.

Cheap cold beer, great food, excellent beer garden & atmosphere. Been here before and will go back again. Always feel welcome. Publican always has a yarn. Kid friendly as well.... Everyone should stop at the bun for a coldie.
