Actually, not a hotel at all. Borgo San Fedele is a conference center, wedding venue, meeting place. A single group takes over the entire place. The rooms are unique, and comfortable, although some may surprise you - the one with the twelve foot high loft bed, or the one tucked in the upper regions of the former monastery. Renata, one...

I spent 10 wonderful days there on a watercolor trip. Great rooms, wonderful food and delightful hosts. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I plan to take a group back in June of 2018 and can't wait to experience San Fedele again.

This 1,000 year Monestary has been completely renovated and kept it's charm. The owners Nicolo and Renata and staff were committed to the absolute best service to their guests. Chef Andrea amazed us every evening with 4 and 5 course organic meals and a never ending flow of wine. 6 of our 7 days Nicolo had arranged tours with the...

I have never experienced such a magical place as the hosts, Nicolo and Renata, have created. I was here for a writers workshop and I must say, the Tuscan air in such a wonderful locale, inspired all the participating writers to new heights of creativity. After a delicious breakfast each day with fresh cakes baked by Renata, we wrote in...

I ran a writing workshop here this past week and can't rave enough about the experience. All of the writers were inspired by the beauty of the place, and the quiet energy there. Our hosts did everything to make our stay unique and enjoyable and worry free. The chef on premises created meals that we will all remember for a...

We were actually also staying the same week as the Dutch couple at Borgo San Fedele and had a much different experience. Nicolo (the owner) and his wife, over delivered on everything promised- from organizing daily excursions, recommending places to stay and visit even after we left Borgo San Fedele, to giving us advice on how to organize the week...

Borgo San Fedele is a beautiful, but way overpriced. The owner suggests everything is included, but then all of sudden it is not and you end up paying extra outside the set rate. For a set rate of 2000 euro's a week (that's 500 euro's a night!!!) a person it is scandalously expensive and not worth the hassle. We expected...

I spent a week here taking a Molly Hashimoto watercolor workshop through il Chiostro. I can't believe my luck! The entire area and the grounds were gorgeous, the food, incredible, the owners so warm and welcoming. We had wonderful, huge breakfasts made by Renata, a fresh and tasty gluten free cake for me, though everyone else ate it, too...so delicious....

... is what it feels when you enter the wonderful retreat at Borgo San Fedele. We thoroughly enjoyed the peace and luxury of this former monastery. The hospitality of Nicolo and Renate, the owners made us feel as if we were staying with long-time friends. The views over the Chianti fields and forests are breathtaking. Radda de Chianti and other...

12th century monestary nestled in the hills of Tuscany, home cooked meals prepared by on site chef from fresh local produce, wine from local vinyards - it just doesn't get better than this. The owners are on site and welcome you to their home - which they meticulousy restored. I was there with a group entitled Vinayasa in the Vinyards...
