This is a wonderful place. The " bungalows" should be described as mini palaces, and splendid ones at that. Excellent food. Rather under-utilised facilities because, like us most guests seem to use it as a base for visiting the historic sites all day. Well worth booking the extra day for chilling out. Friendly and efficient staff

I do not want to tell every experience cause if you are going for the first time then some of the services should be a surprise. Staff are friendly and professional. attention to detail...

This is a great resort spread over approximately 150 acres of luxuriant tropical foliage. There are about 20 rustic suites well camouflaged so that you can take a dip in the pool attached in complete privacy. The suites are nice and very comfortable. Bathroom fixtures are great. Transport over the sprawling complex is provided with electric buggies. The staff is...

From the moment we arrived, we were taken care of, catered to, and continuously amazed at the spaciousness, beauty, service, and quality of everything. I cannot praise this resort highly enough. I would love to return to Sri Lanka if only to stay here and the sister resort again.

This property deserves 6/5! From the time one is greeted by the smile at the security gate and the welcome ritual at reception, to the time when one is waved farewell by the manager and several staff members, one is made to feel cosseted and at home. The main house (wallawwa) is elegant, but homely and the villas are luxury...

The hotel has a series of chalets dotted around the grounds. Not many have views as they are all secluded so that nobody can look in but a few have a view of the lake. However it doesn't really matter as the rooms are all beautiful with comfortable large beds and nice bathrooms. The hotel provide bicycles to get too...

The location, facilities, staff and food are all great. It's located off the main road. I wish there was some kind of big sign by the main road indicating where to turn in, but it's not too difficult to find (with a little help from Google maps) The staff was very welcoming and courteous. They handled our late check-in and...

This resort sits on 58 acres in north central Sri Lanka. We stayed in a "chalet" for a few nights during a tour of the country. We really felt as if we were in the middle of the jungle in amazing luxury. Our chalet was enormous, with living room, foyer, bathroom and bedroom. It was quite far away from the...

Thrilled to check into this amazing property. Historic mansion lovingly and carefully restored with attention to detail. We found each member of staff friendly and considerate. We were sad to leave our detached and truly luxurious chalet complete with bikes to explore the 80 acre estate. Everything exceeded our expectations. Will return for longer stay next time we come to...
