Getting to the Hotel from Airport Used the local taxi app downloaded at the new airport for very attractive rate for the transfer to the hotel. The Check-in and Room Our check-in was quick and very efficient. Our room was good size with a balcony, quiet, clean and comfortable. The ensuite bathroom again was large and had bath and separate shower which was hot and powerful. The free Wi-Fi in throughout the hotel and public areas was very good. Location The hotel is located on the beach. Food and Restaurants We were booked on bed and breakfast basis. The hotel had 4 restaurants – Indian, Italian, Chinese and multi-cuisine. The multi cuisine is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The speciality restaurants are open for dinner. The Indian restaurant is open for lunch also. The breakfast had excellent choice and well stocked. There was good choice of tea and coffees. Cappuccino and expresso coffee is available without additional cost. Breakfast outside should have been looking over the beach but was marred by wedding marques and noise. Restaurant staff including Virekanand (from Bihar), Joseph (from Goa), Amruti (from Indore), Rohan (from Dadar), Rajendra, Jenisha (from Rajkot) Sanjay, Nikki (from Bihar), Hirsh (from Bihar), Sunika (tea lady) looked after us very well during mealtimes. The Beach, Gym, Spa, Pool and other amenities The beach and the sea although slightly murky, was clean (no plastic, weeds or jelly fish), safe (no large waves) and warmer than the swimming pool at around 28 degrees C. The swimming pools, although not heated, again was kept clean and temperature was around 25 degrees C. The gym and spa were well equipped and fully functional whereas the indoor pool was slightly cooler. There were a number of free organised activities such as beach walk, tree walk etc. There is free ice cream for kids around 5.00 pm every day. Santosh looked after us very well at the poolside and was very good for the beach walk. Getting to the Airport from Hotel The taxi booked through local app didn’t turn up so had to ask the hotel to arrange for one. I am unlikely to use the local taxi app again.
Our holiday experience was marred by a huge wedding which took over the entire ground. However, we were well looked after by the Guest Relations Manager Mridhusmita (from Assam). Because of the helpful assistance from Mridhusmita we are returning to the hotel in 2025.

The Grand Hyatt Goa, was the perfect hotel for celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary, with its beautiful location overlooking the pretty bay, which is particularly stunning at sunset. The property is very impressive with its colonial architecture, the rooms and bathrooms are very spacious and provide everything you need. There are a few shops offering some very exquisite Indian garments. The grounds are very lush with various trees, flowers flora and an abundance of birds. Relics of a 17th century chapel adds to the atmosphere. At night the grounds and chapel are cleverly light with tiny lights which creates a lovely atmosphere. The cocktails are delicious and the food is good in all restaurants, with the options of sitting outside to take in the beautiful views. We recommend the mutton curry in the India restaurant, the taste and cinnamon smell is divine. The breakfast buffet is extensive with traditional full English, omelettes, pancakes, delicious pastries and Indian deliacies. We had a superb anniversary celebration dinner overlooking the bay which was stunning. But what really stands out about this hotel is the staff, they go out of their way to ensure you enjoy yourself offering a first class service but with a personal, warm touch. The pool staff and life guards are fabulous at helping out with beds and umbrellas and making sure everybody is enjoying themselves. Drinks and food can be ordered around the pool. A special shoutout to Divyanshu, Alvan, Rutuja and housekeeping for decorating our room with fabulous flowers, towel art of elephants, swans and hearts, to Ryan the business manager who helped us organise some trips and sent us flowers and roses on our anniversary. To Snehali who helped us organise our anniversary celebration dinner and Saruf who was our butler, who was absolutely brilliant and went above and beyond serving and helping us. tl;dr: The beautiful buildings and expansive resort grounds coupled with spacious rooms and several wonderful restaurants make this a great place to unwind. Service is usually great but inconsistent.
Rooms: The room was incredibly spacious, with the highlight being the balcony that spanned the length of the room. The outdoor sofa and plush chairs were an excellent setting to soak in the beach view. However, the room did show some signs of its age. The flooring and cabinets were worn in places, and the TVs seemed at least 15 years old. The bathrooms did not feel dated at all, perhaps due to the extensive stone surfaces throughout.
Service: Largely great but inconsistent. Several staff members went above and beyond to help out, whether that was at the restaurants or just helping us find our way around the resort. The help from reception was quite erratic though. We called twice to book a cab only to be told to wait for a callback which never came. After 45 minutes of waiting we walked to the travel desk to find that all resort cabs had already been booked. Eventually we negotiated with a nearby cab outside the resort. Given most ride hailing services are banned in Goa, the value provided by an efficient and available resort cab service would be extremely high.
Location: The location is removed from typical Goa hotspots/popular beaches. This can be a plus/minus depending on the goal of your trip.
Misc: The pool was reasonably large but quite crowded. Our personal sandals were taken by someone while we were at the pool. We tried working with the staff to find the sandals to no avail. Upon mentioning this at checkout, some of our dining charges were kindly removed. Have to commend the resort for the effort to ensure we leave on a positive note!
Grand club lounge: Our room included access to the lounge which had soft drinks and coffee available at any time. In addition, snacks and alcoholic beverages were served according to a schedule that was explained during checkin.
Overall a great experience that can be improved with more consistent service. Would recommend!

Our party of 8 adults and 3 children occupied 4 rooms at your hotel from January 2 to January 6, 2025. We selected the Grand Hyatt due to high expectations stemming from your esteemed reputation and our previous experiences at various Hyatt hotels worldwide; nonetheless, our stay was lacking in several critical aspects.
1. Lengthy, delayed and inefficient Check-In: Upon arrival, we were disheartened by the extensive delay in entering our hotel room. Following an extensive journey, we anticipated a more efficient check-in procedure; rather, the prolonged wait resulted in frustration and established an unfavorable atmosphere for our stay. The staff were sluggish, ineffective, and dishonest regarding the promise that the room will be 'ready in 10 minutes' persistently. Our children and our aging parents (who are over 80) were most impacted because they couldn't enter the rooms until 430 p.m.
2. Substandard Service at Poolside Restaurant: The service at your poolside restaurant during lunch on January 2, 2025, was inadequate. Despite our early arrival, we were courteously asked to wait in the poolside restaurant for lunch. Our group arrived at 1 PM and waited over 30 minutes to be seated in spite to empty chairs and tables, followed by an additional hour to place all the orders, during which numerous unfinished, missing, and incorrect dishes were provided. Orders were regularly delayed and incorrect, and at times, staff appeared inattentive and indifferent. Our server was unable to communicate with us in English and even faced difficulties in Hindi.
3. Protracted Room Service: On several occasions, prompted by our prior experiences, we requested room service. On numerous nights, this was again routinely delayed even though the food was ordered by 7:30 p.m. These persistent delays were problematic for individuals at the extremes of age (3 years and 85 years). The personnel seemed ineffective and disorganized, resulting in delays and recurring mistakes in addressing our demands. Simple orders were frequently incorrectly completed and took an unreasonable amount of time to arrive. For instance, one person may arrive with empty glasses, followed by another who brings ice, a third who brings soda or other beverages, and several others who bring food at various times.
4. Poor Value for Money: Considering these above recurring issues, we found the stay to be poor value for the price we paid. The service level did not align with the cost, which was disappointing.
The pool staff including life guards, poolside assistants and those who were serving food and drinks were pleasant, efficient and very responsive. The staff were all generally nice.

On my list of hotels this absolutely awesome luxurious hotel stands out in top 3 in Goa with its impeccable service quality and more so the guest commitment be it an Elite or a normal guest . The upkeep of this magnanimous luxury hotel is simply outstanding and so have the quality of the rooms and the suites that we have been staying .. kudos to the team and the house keeping efficiency in it's upkeep . Hyatt well recognised globally for their high end delivery in F&B services truly has lived up to it especially in this Hyatt that's as Grand as it stands for and I can see that deliveries coming so dedicatedly by the close involvement of its Head of F&B services Mr Thomas and that's making a big impact on its guests and they and we simply love it . The Morning BF is to die for especially the highend quality of Bakery Products and i can see and feel the hand of a very experienced Pastry Chef ... Such is the team dedication towards their guests. The Expat General Manager at this unit is an all out Guest Centric individual and has well earned his amazing respect over the years for his humbleness and amazing apathy towards his guests and goes that extra mile to get involved and making time to meet and engage , something absolutely important in a leisure hotel ... It's being truly appreciated by you Mr Jaco 🙏. The hotel has an amazing Spa treatment centre and I love its dynamics overall . Strongly recommend this luxurious leisure hotel to add to your bucket list or to be here each time you visit Goa and you will never ever regret .

Stayed at the Grand Hyatt from 11th to 14th January with our Labrador, Choco. Such an amazing experience! Have stayed in so many hotels but none like this one. Steffi went above and beyond to make sure that not only ours but even our labrador’s stay was comfortable. We and even Choco were greeted at the main entrance with a group of more than 15 employees. We felt so special. We have stayed more than 20 times at Grand Hyatt including new years but none like this one. Steffi made this stay very special for us. It’s easier said than done but it takes a lot of effort and coordination to make sure everything is perfectly executed. Kudos to the entire team from the person who picked us from the airport to the guard who already knew that we are coming with a dog to the amazing team welcoming us at the main entrance to the cart driver who made sure that our dog is comfortable in the cart to the lady carrying our welcome drinks to the room to the special bed and treats and specially framed photo of Choco on his bed. Amazing, just amazing eye for detail! Rishabh from Housekeeping promptly checked in on us if we needed anything and when we will want our rooms to be cleaned. Krishna from room service was very courteous and polite and got the cutlery sets right away. After some time another gentleman from room service was prompt enough to check on us if we needed clearance. Datta Prasad from engineering fixed the bathroom volume issue right away and was courteous. Surender from housekeeping cleaned our room and made it sparkling clean. Outstanding Rishab and sudhir the housekeeping manager checked on us multiple times to make sure our stay was comfortable Guruprasad the valet was very informative and polite and correctly guided us Fezo the cart driver was very courteous and took extra precaution with our dog Subo in room service got our food piping hot and called for clearance and did it right away And before we departed karan and bharat checked us out They were very patient since my card kept declining bcas of daily limit But they were very calm and engaged me in the conversation until the card went through Very very impressed with the entire team and all thanks to Steffi for making this happen. Will be back soon

Our visit was post a medical emergency and the team took great care of my mum. The team at Hyatt is nothing short of professionalism, sincerity in the service and warmth. We were greeted by Kreesha who went above and beyond to make sure mum's needs were met by the appropriate people, a smooth check-in and gave a detailed walk through explaining services and their location. Dezvie and Vaibhav assisted mum by driving her back and forth on a buggy with special care as she just had undergone a major operation. Chahat from the Housekeeping department was the highlight of our stay as she made sure all of mum's preferences were met and the room was always well taken care of. She made towel art that made my mum smile and she'd always insist on a photograph with it, which I'm truly grateful for. Thanks to Sonu Sir from Hk who along with chahat made sure we were well looked after. I extend my most sincere apologies for any names I may have missed out, but I truly appreciate each one of you. Overall a satisfactory experience with memories that will be cherished.

I recently stayed at the Grand Hyatt Goa for 4 nights, and it was an exceptional experience! This centrally located resort offers an amazing combination of luxury and comfort. The resort spans across 28 acres of lush green lawns that roll down to the water’s edge, creating a stunning and tranquil environment. The food is absolutely delicious, with buffet spreads in The Dining Room that are excellent for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The award-winning restaurant Chulha is a must-visit, and I highly recommend trying the Methi Saag Paneer and the Signature Dal Makhani. The Pool Bar and Grill also offers stunning views along with great food. The resort's Shamana spa is a must-try and provides a truly relaxing experience, enhancing the overall luxurious feel of the stay.
The level of commitment to guest satisfaction is evident, especially from Arlene, the manager of food and beverages, who is incredibly proactive. The rooms were spotless and offered breathtaking views of Bambolim Bay. Deepmala, the hotel manager, was equally proactive, ensuring every detail was taken care of. The property itself is beautiful, and the staff’s attention to detail was impressive. I will certainly be returning!

We stayed for 6 days. We had stayed here 8 years ago and really enjoyed the food. This time the experience was different.
We are vegetarian and big foodies. However, the food was VERY hit and miss. Unfortunately there were several days where the dinner was not up to scratch. On the first day, we ordered a pasta from the Dining Hall where the sauce was so thick it felt like cement in my mouth. Other days, the food was bland or had too much oil. After the first day, Arlene put us in touch with exec Chef David, who requested that Chef Santu from Veranda cook for us. He made the BEST risotto and broccoli soup I’ve ever eaten. The food at the poolside was average but one of the chefs was able to make us a tasty raw papaya salad. On the days he wasn’t there everything was very bland and tasteless and under cooked (this was Asian Wok). Breakfast was great. Idli, dosa, pesarattu , chutneys all available which we loved. The Verandah and the Chulha were also closed for dinner for several days for maintenance .. we wish we were told in advance of booking.
Aside from the food, the hotel is really beautiful and has easy beach access - we went during monsoon szn so could walk along the beach during low tide but not swim. Would recommend going in early September there were hardly any tourists and lovely cool weather interspersed with rain. Room was great with lovely view but smelt of sewage at times and was very stuffy.
Spa treatments were nice but steam room needs renovation as there is black mould covering the walls...
There was also PwC event going on on the first two days we arrived which wasn't nice as there were loads of business men around and an evening party playing loud music till 10.15 PM outside the room was not relaxing.
special thanks to Akash, Harsh, Moupiya, Bikram and Rajendra from the Dining Hall who were really lovely. On the plus side, whenever we complained about anything, staff were accommodating .
TL;DR Food was underwhelming. Beautiful hotel. Would only come back if Chef Santu cooked for me every evening. He is a very talented chef.

You can always liaise directly with the hotel about the kind of room needed and location. We booked two rooms, one directly with the hotel through the Hyatt website and another through a third party site as the Hyatt site had sold out two weeks later for our dates.
We then got in touch with the hotel, explained everything and gave booking info and we had both rooms next to each other.
Grand Hyatt is a stunning Hotel. It's about 20 mins from Panjim and Miramar. Good choice of restaurants there. Candolim is about 45 mins away, you will need to book a Taxi to get there. Hope this helps.
At low tide, you can go to the beach at the hotel. It is small but possible. Lots of shells on the beach so not sure how great it would be for full swimming in the water. We just walked along the edge of the water at the hotel.
There are more places to choose from in the Bambolim area.
